Moving on seems fine unless you to want watch us escape and baffle the guards as to how we did it! :-)

Alrighty, I'm back. Ready to break outta the joint when you are, DM.
Kor, Breaker of Chains
That was site maintenance, right?
Kor, Breaker of Chains
I was checking my other toons and in red lettering it said paizo was having maintenance today for like 1-2hrs. Guess that's what it feels like.

Did I just get dominated?

Ok then before we get into the meat of this fine adventure a few things to note.
1. I need you to be very specific as to your actions: Example simply going into a room and using perception sometimes will not yield everything in the room, In certain parts, their are very specific actions that must be taken in order to advance.
If we become stymied, then I will either hand out a major hint or simply advance the story.
2. I will roll most of the dice for you, except of course your attack rolls and actions you wish to do right then i.e. Perception, knowledge etc.
IF YOU DO NOT POST WITHIN 24 HRS. WITHOUT LETTING ME KNOW IN ADVANCE, I RESERVE THE RIGHT TO BOT YOU ALONG I don't anticipate this being a problem with this group. Nothing is more frustrating than a group waiting for one person to post
3.In case of combat, I will roll your initiatives and set it up like this example
Kor
Izura
Baddie 1
Alex
Baddie 2
Zoren
William
Kor and Izura are up
Questions/Concerns?

It all sounds pretty good to me. :) I'll get my gear done in a few hours - I'm on a few-hours' drive to head home right now, and profile editing doesn't work well on my phone.
Izura Selenesh
One question - say initiative looks like the above, where it's Kor, then me, then the baddie. Is it ok if I post before Kor to make sure my post gets in in a timely manner?
I've known GMs who prefer I don't and others who are ok with it, and I've seen situations where one post one step out of order could have made combats a couple of days shorter.
Whatever you prefer is cool. :)

Question: could I create a couple of custom magic items, both calculated as prestidigitation at will? The first would be a slate that basically automatically subtitles me as I speak (which lets me continue the speech difficulties, but means I'm more easily understood, especially by those just meeting me); the second would be kind of an infinite spice container that lets her always re-flavor her food.
Neither's super powerful, but for someone with the communication difficulties she has, the slate would be super-handy, and being deprived of one sense, she exults in the others all the more, so something to always make her food taste good would be nice to her.
If you'd rather stick with already-existing items, totally cool. :)
Izura Selenesh
Works for me, I just wanted to make sure you'd be cool with it.
EDIT: ARGH! I just had everything finished and it ate my edits!
EDIT the SECOND: Ok, all my items are listed. I'll get the stat changes put in tonight - I'm tired and need to sleep before my graveyard shift. :/
Izura Selenesh
Would be EDIT the THIRD except it's way too late for that: I should be all ready to go item- and stat-wise. I just got all my crunch changes from shopping put in.

Just finished making a Gnome Iron Priest of Brigh for an Iron Gods game. I decided to work in a back story involving him training a monkey to assist him in his Crafting skills. Thought it was an interesting touch, lol.
Izura Selenesh
Haha, that sounds awesome. :D
I love the idea of gnomes, but I still have yet to play one...although my current paladin was very close to being one (I went with a half-orc instead that I love to bits). It was really going to get interesting when I brought up her two husbands and three wives, Caprica-group-marriage style...
Let's face it, if you had a lawful good gnome paladin that followed Shelyn (thus very committed to relationships), wanted to do right and honorable by significant others, but didn't want to potentially put them at risk of Bleaching by tying them down too much? The group marriage would be the most honorable, lawful solution imaginable. :P
Kor, Breaker of Chains
Gnomes are tricky, I always play them as intense. Very verbal and expressive but a bit crazy. This one I just made is going to be more on the intense/eccentric side. Maybe a slight egomania will be fun to play especially if I get to keep the monkey (Coggles), at which point I project on him, like a borderline split personality disorder. Should be fun :). That marriage concept is something else, though :D. Marriage in-game would be pretty crazy to RP I'd think.
Izura Selenesh
Eccentric is probably the best word I can think of for how all my gnome concepts play out in my head, and really it's how the setting treats them. Yours sounds like he could be quite fun, especially with the whole steampunk, technology type aspect thrown in there too.
We're usually ok with throwing in relationships, although it doesn't tend to be a big focus. My guess is playing out the marriage wouldn't have gone much beyond "I'm Geena, this is my wife Kalia and my husband Abroshtogar and my husband Loranabash and my wife Rini, ok, love you guys, off to go save Sandpoint." Although with the amount of time we've spent in/near Sandpoint so far, I probably could have thrown in some dates while they were staying in town. :D
Man, now I really wonder how that would have played out - it could have been super fun. It's a good thing I'm so happy with the half-orc paladin that ended up coming into being, haha.
Kor, Breaker of Chains
I would think a half-orc pally to be brooding but just. A kind of van helsing type of character that's needed but not wanted most places it goes.
Izura Selenesh
Actually, funny thing is, she's a Shelyn-ite too, and really not very broody or dark at all.
She was born to a half orc and a human in a community of orcs, half orcs, and humans trying to make peace work, and raised primarily by a human after said community was attacked.
Said human was secretly a jerk who was using magic to basically separate out her kinder and crueler sides and call each on command, so he could use her as an enforcer for his organized crime ring and have her play good cop bad cop all on her own. He kept her super isolated, basically pulled a Hunchback of Notre Dame and convinced her no one liked her because she was a monster, etc.
She finally befriended one of the people (a bard and Shelynite priestess) that she was then asked to hurt, which broke the hold of the magic and made the crueler part of her personality rebound and latch onto him instead, and he freaked out and hurt her pretty badly until he dropped dead from the intensity.
She'd freed her friend in the process, who went and got help to rescue her; they came back and found her at death's door with scars that never ended up healing. So as she grew up, she began getting tattoos that echoed the scars and turned them into something beautiful, the whole redemption thing that Shelyn's big on.
So, long and short of it is, my paladin's a female half-orc that's covered head to toe in tattoos, works as a painter as her day job, has sleeves of many garments so she can make sure she stays in neat and pretty clothes while adventuring, and may have finally gotten the other paladin in the party to start seeing Ameiko Kaijitsu, which is great because they're perfect for each other. ;)
(I may or may not have a seven page backstory written out, and may or may not have spend the better part of six months collecting various details of it in my head before the game even started.)

DMTFY, just a personal observation, but I think my toon has evolved into a Chaotic Good character by accident. If you need me to shift alignment I'm cool with that, though we haven't hit a battle yet... He will have a much darker side when raging.
Izura Selenesh
Yeah, I think I'm accidentally drifting toward chaotic good too, haha. At least I don't lose any class features if I become too irrevocably good. I already chose the cure spells for my auto-learning anyway.
Kor, Breaker of Chains
Izura, that sounds more involved than any campaign I've ever been in. I'll be honest, my in-person campaigns have largely all flopped cause the DMs end up bailing or the other players do. I've never finished a campaign, adventure path, or otherwise :(. Eventually due to my incessant rules-lawyering (yeah, am that guy in-person) I started DMing and have since stopped because my in-person players were too individualistic to run together :/, it was like they were allergic to team work. I am building a campaign setting of my own atm complete with its own races, world, gods, and history but solo it's slow going. The maps are the most time consuming part, sooooooooo much detail o.O
Izura Selenesh
Oh, all of the above was pre-campaign story, except for the last paragraph, haha. I just got really into dreaming her character up.
We are all fairly team-oriented, though, very play-well-with-others types, and fairly committed. And I wonder if it helps that it's at a game store and we pay a monthly fee for using the space, so we're kind of automatically more invested. We've finished one campaign before this (a 3.5 one called Castle Whiterock), and it's Rise of the Runelords we're going through now.
Kor, Breaker of Chains
Nice :D. William, I'm getting the black map too.

Kor/Izura: I am not big on alignments, in fact when I DM FtF I tell my players don't put an alignment until you play a couple or three levels and then figure it out.
Kor, Breaker of Chains
I'm getting a white and black screen in my browser :(, not sure why :/
Kor, Breaker of Chains
No sign of anything beyond a black/white screen :(. i do see some menu option and my and your (DMTFY) pics at the bottom but beyond that the map is a blank ::sigh::
