Abomentolor Goblinburner |
Abomentolor turns to Oz grinning at him "Nice trick, I start to like you already."
With that he runs through the eastern door, jumping off the fundament
Acrobatics: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 2 = 13
landing on his feet, turning around shouts "Eat this, it'll be your last meal.", and with another burning hand sets the two goblins, that dare to shoot out of hiding aflame.
Damage: 3d4 ⇒ (4, 4, 1) = 9
Tauriell |
Tauriel breaks off the arrow that hit her, and moves closer, to serve the goblin that dared to shoot her his well deserved revenge.
Attack: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (13) + 6 = 19
Damage: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4
Gwenhwyfar Yongisdottir |
Gwenhwyfar shrieks as the goblin tries to attack her, tries to stand up without giving the goblin another chance.
Acrobatics: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5
She then starts bashing at that goblin like she learned with the ships mast.
Attack: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (9) + 1 = 10
Damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6
Jimmy Fiddle |
Jimmy moves to within 10 feet of the goblin attacking Gwen, if that goblin is already dead, the closest goblin to him, and attempts to skewer it on his spear. This time favoring accuracy since he missed the wolf previously.
Attack, Spear, 2 handed, no PA: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (15) + 5 = 20
Damage, Spear, 2 handed, no PA: 1d8 + 6 ⇒ (5) + 6 = 11
"Why don't you pick on someone your own size!" Jimmy roars at the goblin, indicating the gnome who is currently barbecuing goblins left and right
Foxy Quickpaw |
Goblin two seems to like Jimmy a lot as target, as he once again chooses to shoot him
Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 4 = 11
but misses again.
Tauriel shoots an arrow into the gnome repaying him, but not enough to take him down.
Abomentolor, having enough of these archers attacks. And as it is his custom: This is to end in fire. listen to 'I see fire' from Ed Sheeran while imagining this
Goblin two Reflex: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 2 = 14
Goblin three Reflex: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (13) + 2 = 15
But they manage to duck away taking only half the damage.
Goblin 5 gets an attack of opportunity as Gwen grabs her staff and gets up.
Attack: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3
But he again misses her.
Gwen hits hard, as always, but not the agile goblin, wich is harder to hit than a mast, or Jimmy for what it's worth, so she only hits the platform
Goblin three directly turns to Abomentolor. The goblins head is smoking, but it's hard to say if from anger, or simply for being roasted. He shoots his shortbow.
Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (14) + 4 = 18
Damage: 1d4 ⇒ 3
And hits him. Propably infuriating even more.
The goblin boss steps 5ft away starts waving his hands around incanting another spell and throwing some sand in the air he casts sleep on the group standing together.
Goblin 5 Will: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (5) - 1 = 4
Oz Will: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (12) + 5 = 17
Jimmy Will: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (6) - 1 = 5
Gwen Will: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (10) + 4 = 14
Resulting in Jimmy and the goblin going to sleep.
Goblin one shoots in panic at the incoming Tauriel
Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (15) + 4 = 19
Damage: 1d4 ⇒ 3
Again hitting her.
Oz uses the now free path to send an axe swirling through the air.
Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (10) + 4 = 14
But missing.
Gwenhwyfar Yongisdottir |
Gwen continues hitting on the goblin, in her fear not relly noticing, that the goblin stopped acting an closed his eyes, hitting him twice on his way down to the ground
Damage: 2d6 + 2 ⇒ (3, 5) + 2 = 10
actually doing a coup de grace here rulewise
@Jimmy, you failed. That will be hours of therapy you'll have to provide ;)
Abomentolor Goblinburner |
Abomentolor shouting "Will you die already you ugly abominations!"
Throwing in another burning hands, if the goblins stay put, or a elemental ray, if they are no longer both in the area
Damage Burning hands 3d4 ⇒ (1, 2, 4) = 7
Attack Elemental Ray 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (17) + 3 = 20
Damage 1d6 ⇒ 6
Foxy Quickpaw |
Goblin two tries to kill the gnome before another wave of fire washes over him.
Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (9) + 4 = 13
But fails with the attempt and tries to flee the wrath of that orange hate spilling gnome.
But to no avail, as Abomentolor reduces him to a charred body, with a mighty ray of fire shooting from his hand.
Tauriel shoots another arrow, putting it in the ground nearby.
Gwen reduces the helpless goblin in front of her to pulp in her bashing frenzy.
Goblin three, who is thanks to his now dead companion still alive gives
Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8
Damage: 1d4 ⇒ 4
But with his burns he is no longer at his best.
The goblin boss no longer willing to be the target for axes, closes in on Oz with his longsword.
Attack: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (14) + 2 = 16
But is no match for the heavy armored fetchling.
Goblin one can't believe his luck and trys to prolong it, with another try to shoot down the elf.
Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (12) + 4 = 16
Damage: 1d4 ⇒ 3
Adding another arrow to Tauriel who starts looking like a pincushion.
Oz takes a step back, draws another axe
Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8
Throwing it on the ground.
Jimmy dreams of a vanilla sky hearing a voice telling him 'wake up Jimmy'.
Abomentolor Goblinburner |
Abomentolor turns to the remaining goblin on his side of the playground running out of insults, but not out of fire.
Elemental ray
Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (9) + 4 = 13
Damage: 1d6 ⇒ 5
Gwenhwyfar Yongisdottir |
Gwenhwyfar looks around, seeing Jimmy on the ground, and the goblin boss only a step away with his longsword. She screams "Noooo!" and charges the goblin boss.
Attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (9) + 3 = 12
Damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6
Tauriell |
Tauriell, not looking very well any more gives it another try to end that threat.
Attack: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (14) + 6 = 20
Damage: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5
Yay, finally, he dies before me! Coughing up some blood.
Foxy Quickpaw |
Abomentolor, without dignifying the goblin with an insult burns him to coal.
Tauriell finally manages to make an arrow stick, and downs her opponent, but blood soakes her clothes.
Gwenhwyfar heroicly storms at the boss, to guard Jimmy but to no avail.
The Goblin boss hits at Gwenhwyfar
Attack: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (19) + 2 = 21
Confirm: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (16) + 2 = 18
Damage: 2d6 ⇒ (3, 4) = 7
Cutting her down with a critical hit. All strength leaving her body she falls to the ground.
Oz without an emotion on his ceramic face draws another axe, to throw at the boss goblin
Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9
and misses, contemplating, if something is wrong with his axes.
Abomentolor Goblinburner |
Abomentolor looks around where he could find another goblin to burn, moves to the corner of the fundament to have an unconfined view of his next victim. But as to many of his companions are around to cleanse the platform with fire, he tries something different. "Hey you pants s$*&ting rugrat."
And with that the goblin, Jimmy and Gwen are in the middle of a sparkling glitterdust falling on them.
Tauriell |
Tauriell drags herself into position to give that last goblin another arrow.
Attack: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (20) + 6 = 26
Attack: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (16) + 6 = 22
Damage: 3d8 + 3 ⇒ (7, 6, 5) + 3 = 21
Abomentolor Goblinburner |
Abomentolor steps up on the foundation and admires the work done. Seeing Jimmy snoring on the ground he kicks him a few times until he opens the eyes.
"You could wake up. It's over already."
Jimmy Fiddle |
"We need to get her up. Where is that bloody potion she had!" Jimmy almost shouts as he frantically begins searching her back for the potion of cure light wounds. If he cant find it in the pack he begins searching her person. Once he finds it he carefully administers the potion. if I remember correctly, which i havent been lately :P, you can feed people potions if they are unconscious yes?
Tauriell |
Tauriell sits down on the foundation, breathing heavily. "That was close. Much too close for my taste."
And giving Jimmy a sad look adds "You see what I meant, Mr. Fool. Pray to your god that it's not too late. I would hate it to be right so soon. Or at all."
Foxy Quickpaw |
Jimmy finds two potions in the pockets of her ceremonial armor. He takes the limp body in his arm, instilling one of them into the mouth of the unconscious girl cautiously.
Heal: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 1 = 8
As the healing sets in you see the wounds starting to close, and life comes back into Gwenhwyfar's body. She snaps back up as she starts to coughs violently.
Gwenhwyfar Yongisdottir |
As Gwenhwyfar is finished coughing up the part of the potion that went down the wrong way, she looks at Jimmy a smile of relief on her face.
"You are ok. I'm so glad." leaning her head at his shoulder she closes her eyes again, to calm down a bit.
Jimmy Fiddle |
pssshh, how else was i supposed to word it? I have saught the sage advice and edited my sexual innuendo away
"Gwen, I think maybe you should have a look at the others once you are on your feet. Tauriell doesn't look too good." Jimmy says, still holding onto Gwen as if she might pass out again
Abomentolor Goblinburner |
Abolomentor approaches Gwenhwyfar, reaches for the arrow and pulling it out with a yank states "You're welcome, and I would appreciate if you could return the favor." pointing to the arrow sticking in his leg.
Heal to remove arrow: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5
Gwenhwyfar Yongisdottir |
Gwenhwyfar would scream in pain if that hadn't taken her breath.
Nevertheless she manages to whisper a "Thank you." and starts removing arrows from her companions.
Starting with Abomentolor
Heal to remove arrow: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (4) + 7 = 11
and healing him
Heal Hex: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7
Then Tauriell
Heal to remove arrow: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (20) + 7 = 27
Heal to remove arrow: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (19) + 7 = 26
managing to do it more gently than with Abomentolor.
Heal to remove arrow: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (3) + 7 = 10
unitl the last one Tauriell already broke off.
and healing her too
Heal Hex: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 1 = 8
"Is anyone else hurt?"
At last she notices, that she herself could use another healing and administers one.
Heal Hex: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5
Gwenhwyfar Yongisdottir |
Gwenhwyfar follows Jimmy, expecting he got wounded where he doesn't want the others to see. So she looks where she might see blood or something. In a low voice she asks "What's the matter? Are you wounded?"
Jimmy Fiddle |
"No, no I think I'm fine. I wanted to make sure you were ok and apologize. I couldn't keep my promise. I let you get hurt. I don't know what that bastard on the wolf did to me, but I was useless. I don't even know how the fight ended. " Jimmy says under his breath, so only she can hear
Gwenhwyfar Yongisdottir |
"Well neither do I know." and glancing in the distance, where the last bit of the sun sinks below the horizon, she adds "And I believe you kept your promise. You said you will do your best to protect me and you did. It might be less than you wished for, but I'm still alive."
Gwenhwyfar Yongisdottir |
"I saw you lying in front of that goblin there, and you taught me, that it's a bad thing to be in front of a pointy thing helpless, so I ran to save you. When that thing hit me back all went black. I don't know what happened after that. We should ask the others."
Gwenhwyfar is obviously back to her feeling 'more alive than ever' attitude not reflecting on the fact, that they all almost died.
Edited the last post to make it more clear, and corrected the tense
Abomentolor Goblinburner |
Abomentolor really likes to answer that one. "Well, first you went down, then Gwen went down, and as it looked, Tauriel almost also went down. Oz here threw his axes on the ground there, one after another. I already thought I would have to kill them all on my own."
An pointing to Tauriel "But that fine gal over there finally nailed that bastard to his doom."
Gwenhwyfar Yongisdottir |
Finally Gwenhwyfar notices her 'prize' on the platform, reaches out grabbing it.
As she looks at the stone medallion emblazoned with a rune of a seven-pointed star she notices, that the goblin boss wears the exactly same thing.
"Look at that." pointing at the dead body "He has the same thing around his neck."
With that she starts to rummage through the goblins possessions to secure all relevant historical items.
Foxy Quickpaw |
The goblin owns besides his medallion a
- Potion of CLW
- Longsword
- Leather Armor
- two Javelins
And as the search for relevant historical tokens continue, you find:
6d100 ⇒ (23, 51, 81, 5, 69, 54) = 283

Looks cool, doesn't it?
If summed up it's 194gp worth of gold and jewelery
And one Scroll of Hold Person.
Rolled with the treasure tables from the game masters guide
Abomentolor Goblinburner |
"Haha, you are funny Gwen. If you don't know, and don't need the gold I'm willing to manage your share of the money and show you what to do with it." Abomentolor responds amused.
Tauriell |
Tauriel suggests, "Whatever you want to do, it will have to wait until tomorrow. We should set up camp, before it's to late to see what you do."
"I think we'll need some fire wood, and shut put up a make shift tent in case it starts raining. If all of you have some blankets that I could have, I'll cut some branches and build something besides this ruin here. Abomentolor and Jimmy could get the fire wood and build a fireplace. Gwen could start to prepare supper. That's ok with everyone?" se says looking in the round if someone objects.
Tauriell |
"You know an axe would be the tool for that? You might even ask Oz if he can lend you one you kow?" she says disbelief in her eyes, shaking her head. And mumbling to herself "City dwellers."
