Rachel:

The box is indeed magical, it reads as abjuration and evocation.

Rolling for Elwyn and Harboth:

Harboth: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5

Don't sweat it guys, just want to try to wrap up the little bit of combat here so the devil can get to eating your dead bodies....

Luckily Rachels spell took affect after the Imp was captured and stabbed, unfortunately it appears to have caught both Elwyn and Harboth, as well as the little imp. The small imp is jolted awake as the two very heavy halfbreeds collapse ontop of it, with a mighty effort the little beast takes to the air, it's eyes sharp on the box as it swoops down to grab it, raising to the air once again. Laughing at the two of you who are still awake.

With a scowl of pain and disgust the little Devil begins to fly around the ceiling, you can tell from it's jerky movements that it's not doing well. From time to time it attempts to swoop down and lash out with it's stinger, but it seems to be avoiding you as much as possible "No, no no, you'll not get the box from me! I'll destroy it before I give it to Mistress, She can't be allowed to open it!" with that it swoops down toward Rachel, faster than you would have thought possible.

Ditto here. Unfortunately, we may be out for a full minute (Sleep spell duration is 1min/level), unless someone wants to take the time to rouse us, per this (from PRD):

"Sleeping creatures are helpless. Slapping or wounding awakens an affected creature, but normal noise does not. Awakening a creature is a standard action (an application of the aid another action)."

As the small Devil begins its climb back to the cieling to ready it's next swoop it is caught in Hannya's powerful swing, its poor tail nearly severed as it screams and throws the box at him. "Fine! fine, take the box...just please don't give it back to Mistress! Inside is a bag that allows its holder to summon and control my brothers. Think of it, hundreds of little Imps flying about this great city of yours, all under the control of Mistress!" he pleads, hoping that his hint towards the dangers of his kind roaming the city freely will sway you to not give over the contents of the box. "I'm not ready to return to the Hells, I give, the box is yours....just please, becareful with it's contents!" With that the little devil turns itself invisible once more....the drops of blood that sprinkle the floor as it moves to a far corner giving its position away.

OOC: Yes, your nap is pretty much now up. Time to wake up....on a side note, I've always disliked this spell for the wakeup feature....if someone is put to sleep I would think they would stay asleep until they naturally woke up, not magically 1 minute later, but maybe 15, 20 minutes later as in takeing a nap. Magically speaking they could be easily woken after the 1 minute, but thats just me and my thoughts.... /end b#&@*ing

I tend to agree with the thought that if one is asleep because of a spell, one should sleep until roused. I suppose we can try to rationalize that the character is under the magical effects of magic sleep, which magically disappear when the magic evaporates, so that 1 minute makes some kind of sense.

Harboth grunts, grunts again a bit more forcefully, and lurches to his feet.

Whatthe? Whose? Which?

Remembering himself in short order, Harboth seizes the "letter opener" and moves into a ready crouch. Noticing that the imp does not appear to have the box anymore, he says to the group in general, Oh good, it looks like we have the box. Well done. What do you say we leave this pest for now? We can always come back and finish him off if that is what the Paracountess needs.

M Human Lots of class, and high levels of it!

The Paracountess looks at the box a bit wistfully before handing it back, "I believe you were sent to retrieve this, no?" see looks into the bedroom and sees the little devil peeking around the door frame, you can't tell if she is pleased or not to see it still on this plane of existance. You can, however, tell that she considers this audience complete as she rings a small bell to summon Aldor once again "Unless there is anything else I can help you with" she says to the group, her tone leaving little doubt as to what sort of help she'd like to give, "I'll bid you all good day" she says, reaching for the silver letter opener.

A quick glance at your list of tasks reveals:

A man named Guaril Karela runs a curio shop in the Docs called the Pickled Imp. Go to him and fill his request as a favor to the Society. I believe it has something to do with a set of rare books.

Ollystra Zadrian requested aid and is expecting you at the Temple of the Shinging Star in the Ascendant Court. She needs someone to deliver a parcel of medicine and curatives to a needy orphanage and verify the character of the recipient.

Visit the offices of Osirian nobleman Drembhet Salhar in the Wise Quarter. The Pathfinder Society needs to obtain permission to delve the Salhar ancestral vaults beneath Sothis. He has made a verbal agreement, and your visit makes it official. You will receive an official charter and detailed maps. Do not embarrass the Society in this matter.

M Human Lots of class, and high levels of it!

The trip to the Ascendant Court is an uneventful one as you make your way from the finery of the Ivy District and into the piety of the Ascendant Count. It takes very little time to find Sarenrae's Temple of the Shining Star. It takes very little time before you find yourself before Ollystra Zadrian. The tall human woman greets you with kindness and seems genueally happy to see you. "Thank the like of Sarenrae you have arrived! I Knew Ambrus would come through for us in the Silver Crusade. I desperately need you to bring medicine to an orphanage and let me know if the headmistress, Gilga Baltwin, is deserving of our charity. Since our quest began, the needy have clamored for our aid, and I suspect some are abusing our generosity. It may sound cruel, but there are plenty of dishonest people out in the world eager for easy gold."
"Do you know of the Silver Crusade? After discovering so many factions splintered the Society, a number of us banded together to proliferate the cause of charity and kindness using the Society's resources. As it is said, 'The Dawn brings new light' and I've made it my life's work to use our recent darkness to bring a new light to the world and to the Pathfinder Society."
"I apologize for straying off point. You will bring this parcel of medicine to Auntie Baltwin's Home for Recovery in the Eastgate district?" she asks of you finally.

Three young boys shoot marbles in the dirt near the side porch, and inside strewn toys and more cats lie about on the floors.
