I would like everyone to roll two rolls before we start on d100 just label #1 and #2.
In addition please look under cost per month on upkeep of a home or apartment. Place this on your character sheet on where you are living this will come with certain RP element as well as determine certain bonuses some districts are not available yet. This cost is found in campaign info tab. Please also look at crime and punishment.

Roll 1: 1d100 ⇒ 74
Roll 2: 1d100 ⇒ 51
South Shore-Average 10gp a Month.
I've taken the first month off his starting money. He's a Priest of Abadar... I can't very well have him live in a lower wage bracket but higher isn't justifiable right now part of me is tempted to ditch chainmail for scale mail and go wealthy but he couldnt afford that long term... for now at least.

Darkwing_DM |

Chobo you and Kevin can post on how you are spending the day ( basically a typical day for you to get a feel for your character) before you go to meet up at the place , I typically post around 8-10 pm every day and I’ll post some of what the rolls mean tonight. Snow and dervin have played with me before and know how I run things, I’ll post more tonight when not on my cell phone ( I hate posting on phone) .

Domir Otovos |

Woot. Very much looking forward to doing this as a player. Thanks, DwD.
Roll 1: 1d100 ⇒ 76
Roll 2: 1d100 ⇒ 11
Absolutely swamped at work at the moment (covering for a colleague who is traveling), but will have something up shortly and will update profile with cost of living soon.
Tenement Flat (West Dock): 3–9

Kesso |

I can link the Korvosa link. Unless there is a compelling reason otherwise, she will be staying at The Solstice Inn in the Pillar Hill section of the Midland District, in the cheapest apartment they have available (15gp). I have adjusted her funds accordingly.

Domir Otovos |

GM, thanks for nudging me about the occult skill unlocks. I'll do a Phrenology check in a little bit but I posted a lot this morning and want to slow down so others can react and do their own things. But this is definitely on my radar now and I'll follow-up. thanks!

Anyone have preferences for how we handle loot? I've seen different groups handle it different ways, such as trying to divide up by utility first, with an even distribution as a second priority, or putting the emphasis on an even split and any items claimed as counting against that split. I find it generally all works out in the wash so I don't have a strong preference.
Also, if it's helpful, I've stolen a loot sheet players are using in one of my other campaigns and added stuff from the body to it. Happy to use a different form if folks prefer, just offering this if it's helpful: link

Dervin Oskander |

As a player I have no issue with however we decide it - I will not get butt-hurt if denied "loot." That being said, I prefer to have who gets what roleplayed out whenever possible instead of meta-consensus.
Again, I will not be offended as a player if my PC is shut down.

Nanta |

I get what you are saying Dervin but... there'll be points where there'll be too much loot and it'd take weeks to rp through it.
I support working out any to be used and then selling the rest and evenly splitting the money as long as we do this. I'm in a game where we have a good chunk of cash but the loot hasn't been split so I always feel awkward about getting any gear upgrades but thats still reasonably low level.

Kesso |

I prefer a loot sheet. If multiple players wish an item, they can 'dice' for it and some care should be taken to maintain at least a level playing field (ie if someone got the uber weapon from the last loot drop, then they probably shouldn't be in the running for the next one.) If something has been on the loot sheet unclaimed for a while, then sell it and divide it up. The next question is should we have a party share. I for one support getting a Wand of CLW.

Domir Otovos |

Definitely support the idea of a party Wand of CLW.
Happy to RP out divvying the big ticket items. I can see how that would important to a character like Dervin. Honestly, OOC, I was debating between having Dom offer it to Dervin, as the type of personality he was more familiar with, or to the fighters, to ingratiate himself with them a little. The OOC logic wound up just being mechanical--they could use the klar--but the goal was to trigger some sort of RP around it.
On loot, if we're all pretty flexible, I think that argues in favor of need/utility-based being the primary factor. Then hopefully we can shake out any fairness/equity issues afterwards.

Darkwing_DM |

I can also just divide the value on a person equally except the big ticket items rather than listing everything I know it’s not much RP wise but it would cut down everything to a basic (x per person) and this , this and this ......

Darkwing_DM |

hey dervin have you seen "False Casting" feat I think that would go well with your character.
@everyone- those that have never played with me before, you can change anything to your character including background, feats, traits , etc before 2nd level. you just have to let me know. and it cannot be in combat or something that in obviously situational.

Darkwing_DM |

I hope I’m building suspense in this dungeon , I’m glad y’all are talking about your characters because it will help build a bond. Ask each other about each other while exploring that way we done have to do a get to know characters room .

Aldren Halfblood |

GM and fellow players: I had an emergency project on Friday which is why there was no post then and it has come back today, likely through tomorrow. I’ll try to keep posting as best I’m able but right now work is kicking me in the nads. Just want to apologize for not posting as often as I’d like.

Kesso |

I'm back and in a better mood.
Kesso is willing to pick up the deck, but is not committed to it yet. If someone else really wants it, then jump in and pick it up. Otherwise, it looks like she will do it.

Kesso |

Kesso proposes one of the following plans. Feel free to chime in with your own.
Plan A: Create diversion, while some try to swim in and enter from the water. Kesso suggests this, but doesn't like it. She can't swim well and the water is almost certainly guarded by something that can swim.
Plan B: Watch the Fishery until something happens and more info gained. Probably the most prudent, but boring plan.
Plan C: Walk up together to merchant selling treats and buy some and engage in conversation. The merchant is probably a guard, and Kesso has a sap. We take him out using nonlethal damage (he may not be a guard after all) and then assault the place.
Of the three plans, Kesso is partial to Plan C. Who knows what is befalling her brother. She is in favor of a timely rescue.

Dervin Oskander |

Determined to do something right away, eh?
Of those, my opinion, the least risky and most likely potential for success is C.
We may be too large and well-equipped a group to not raise suspicion if we just all walk out together... perhaps all helping one pretending to be intoxicated, and the drunkard insists on food from the stall?
BTW - I will be away until Sunday (5/6)

Darkwing_DM |

By the way the merchant selling food , kesso getting candy , etc will all be part of the “monthly “ upkeep cost that way we don’t have to track food and misc small items as long as you stay within reason on small purchases you don’t have to worry about it, I’ll add a couple of gp to upkeep depending on city situation. Example , getting drinks at a inn is fine for no cost , getting a bottle of 50 year old elven whiskey would cost.

Nanta |

Nanta would support Plan B grudgingly... or plan D Start cracking skulls... just cracking not smashing.

Kesso |

Nanta would support Plan B grudgingly... or plan D Start cracking skulls... just cracking not smashing.
Ah, but Plan D is just a subset of Plan C...Eventually
So who in the group has the highest bluff to play a drunken sailor. Kesso has a +2.
Domir Otovos |

Sorry for the delayed post. Friday was filled with medical and vet appointments, then the weekend was booked wall to wall with toddler and social stuff. :-( (I hate social stuff.)
I'd opt for Plan B, but could go with C. A involves splitting the party which is always dangerous IMO. Dom only has a +2 to bluff (went with Diplo and Intimidate for his social skills as they factor into his class abilities a bit better).

Kesso |

If we want to speed things up, Kesso is trying to talk to the vendor while she eats. Ideally she will just try to be friendly, ferret out as much info as she can. While she does this she keeps an eye on the street. If at any point the street clears out of witnesses, then she will grab him in a choke hold (to prevent him from crying out), trying to keep his hands from drawing things like thunderstones and the like. As she hopefully brings him down she will actually be apologizing to him in a whisper and will tell him to leave when he awakes and not look back. Darkwing DM you are more than welcome to make any of the relevant rolls needed. Thanks.

Darkwing_DM |

I don't know what happened to Chobo Btw, I first I thought I made him mad but he isn't posting on his other characters I hope he is ok. because from what I can see he left all his campaigns without any notice.
