ah, sorry, Ser Thirus.
Let me sum up:
- We aquired rings that mark us as members of the club, so the constructs will not use lethal force against us(at least as long as we don't use lethal force against them, me thinks).
- Diene and Ophelia walked upstairs, saying they'll run if there's any trouble, trying to get to the summoning circle and tell the head honcho summoner whats going on. They met a woman on the way and Diene is talking with her.
- Mia is near the entrance, keeping a construct guarding the front door occupied by playing tag while looking for a way to disable-device it. Those constructs are expensive and potentially on our side so we should try not to destroy them.
- You and others went downstairs, where it's very flame-y and smoke-y, with Isama quenching as you advance.
- Yes, we did split the party.
That should basically sum it up :)
Not that much happened.

@Diene, Yep, sure, wands of healing and all that. The thing is, windows lead outside. Outside, theres tons of people weeding the garden or having evacuated from this building.
All it takes is for that person to be hurt and traumatized and/or bad fall damage rolls...(the ceilings were said to be double-high, so fourth floor could be 8d6 fall damage)
As said, fully support what you are about to do, rule of cool and all that ;) But the guard may have a PR-problem if you crash out with them, and they die in front of ~1000 onlookers when you land...just saying if you can, try and minimize damage caused even if you take a bit more(we know how sturdy you are-plus I come back to the entrance every other round and could heal you.)

@Thirus> Sorry for not responding, Thirus - I was kind of confused what you really want from us as it was only about 55 new posts in the gameplay threat and it is easy in pbp to catch up.
@Daria> Let her do it, might be fun. And something tells me it will not be as easy as it might seem... ;-)

Totally want her to do! Not meant as "don't". Just saying "do careful". Because splattering a citizen on the pavement in front of 100+ witnesses may kind of come back at us during debriefing ;)
(but even that would be fun in a way...so yeah, definitely a go ahead from my point of view...)| Castor Drey |
It is a very busy week for me and I am going out of town for the weekend. We will play homebrew PF in a small medieval stronghold.
So I do not know how often I will be able to post till next Monday.

@Castor - Sounds awesome. Have fun : )
@GM - No worries, things happen : )
@Miserable construct - Not sure if it will actually work like Ophelia said, but once we have her in custody we can probably figure out some creative way of spiriting her away trough the magic land of bureaucracy.
And if that fails, Ophelia can hit Diene up with Bull's Strength (or herself if Diene has a belt already), pop mutagen on herself and between the two of them they should be able to drag the construct to somewhere nicer.
(Hmm ... If the construct do resist, we can simply charge its owner with 'obstructing the law' and/or 'assault on officer' or something and keep the construct as evidence [the 'weapon' with which the owner attacked us!] until someone steps up. Doubt anyone will however ...)
Honestly, I think it is almost easier to secure that construct/woman once we treat it as furniture instead of a person :P
Ophelia 'Springs' Hale
Additionally, I sorta peeked underneath the history spoiler (I was so very curious! Sorry!). Once we know that, and we'll find out one way or another I think, we can simply slap them with copyright infringement and then the Gods may have mercy on their souls (and wallets), because the Law will not ...
Daria "Mia" Hearth
Aaaand I'm starting a business. No copyrights and patents? A co-worker who is a diviner? Another who is a construct, yet another who is skilled with mechanisms?
Hardwood Constructs worth 8k a piece? Heck, we'll have at least a few of those in the evidence chamber. Lets just copycat them and sell the copies :)
Ophelia 'Springs' Hale
But surely they have defamation and personal id laws?
People can't be allowed to look like other people at will, neither can they be allowed to forge other peoples identities right (no matter if they happen to be dead and gone)?
I mean, Ophelia can't just dress up as Nex himself - can she ...?
Daria "Mia" Hearth
...But surely they have defamation and personal id laws?...
We could mass-produce Ophelias, too...of course, you are not just an average construct. But possibly, we could use the soul spark of recently deceased guardsman to "breath life" into them.
Construcops! Half guardsman, half Construct, 100% law. Give them as accurate knowledge of the law as Ophelia has and they can work independently, too, working as Judges, Enforcers and Executioneers(where applicable). And with generous application of Divinations, we can send them to prevent crimes before they even happen.Crime-Terminator Judge Construcop™ - Ophelia-Series
On a side note, whats the format code for crossing out text? Wanted to do that with the ™ but figured I have no idea how to do that
Daria "Mia" Hearth
@Mia: "but... but... we told it to stay there!" ;p
Yep. Kind of expecting something like that...especially considering it can seemingly glamer up.
Ophelia 'Springs' Hale
Honestly, if the furniture starts to run away it can hardly be the Guards fault - can it ?
Rather, it is the property owners fault for giving his/her furniture the ability to move and not any way to keep it in place!
Right : )?
But, it would also be sorta fun to actually see what happens to that construct, more then it just running away into the sunset :P
Daria "Mia" Hearth
*shrug* again, worth a try :)
those stubborn constructs-

Trying to play logic bomb with constructs. I mean, here.

I am back. I am sorry that my absense was longer then anticipated. I was able to read most of the posts, but was called away before I had a chance to think it through and post myself. I hope it will be back to normal now.
Diene
You haven't had him attack yet. You can quietly change his stats.
Or, seeing the only people gone are the two fighters who you decided to change my action so that they'd get something to do.... You could simply say Diene busted the wall where she intended, and the manservant isn't part of the fight.
Diene
Diene does like a fight! But she also likes outsmarting people with derring-do. She's always up for an Ocean's Eleven heist. It's even in her backstory! It's the only part I completely added to the Rogues gallery before I lost my data and will to continue.
Diene
Well, I wasn't intending to punch the unconscious guy or break into the summoning circle. That leaves one target.
Diene
Fair enough, I'll try to be more specific in the future.
Daria "Mia" Hearth
3 crit threats in a row, even with Nat 20's :)
Why does this kind of thing never happen when I play a martial character? Or even a blaster caster(they are fun, don't judge)-?
Always only with skill monkeys - once had a Scythe Weaponmaster that already was a running joke in my group because he almost never rolled a crit and never managed to confirm one over several levels...
fun though that Daria gets to make a good first impression on duty after being worried she would be a burden in combat-
Ophelia 'Springs' Hale
@Mia - I *think* these constructs are actually closer to golems or animated wooden doll then mechanical constructs, given that they belong to a bunch of Cha-based magicans : )
Also, I think your dice distribution theory is correct! My swashbuckler never seem to even threaten a critical with a rapier : P
Diene
I always roll 17s to hit with my nodachi, until I get Keen. :P
Ophelia 'Springs' Hale
I'll be honest, I expected that to be harder... Geez Mia, nice rolling.
: )
Now, don't tune up every fight as if Mia is going to roll straight 20ies, please :P
Ophelia 'Springs' Hale
Given what we've seen so far, it is not unlikely that this is an actual archon ready to cleanse stuff!
However, we still haven't found whom started the fire and decapitated those servants ... unless this guy did that first then got trapped ?
Daria "Mia" Hearth
But, you already found her and secured her as evidence- she's waiting in the lobby for us...(culprit herself, or the tool of whoever orchestrated this) ^_^
Diene
In my books, if she was capable of using glamor to escape the wizards, she would have done it without our help.
Daria "Mia" Hearth
That assumes she did not have something else to do, upstairs, when you found her :) Maybe she just was on the way down to do just that when you escorted her?
Daria "Mia" Hearth
She seemed pretty committed to dying in a fire.
what better way to get rid of evidence? :D
If an opposing faction sent her, it's ideal. She is modelled after those servants around here, but glamoured to look like the one who brought about the downfall of the nobility these sorcerers identify with. But after she dies in a fire, she's just a normal servant like all the others....genius!
