Jacques is, shockingly and somewhat disturbingly, utterly unfazed by the prisoners in their cells. He's seen this before. It's not pretty and the sight of it'd definitely faze the uninitiated, but this is standard fare.
Jacques looks over at JT, his face a mask.
"A doomsday option? You mean a killswitch? No, not where I'm from. There'd be security measures, automatic lockdown procedures and the like, but if you think ever prison comes equipped with a gas chamber I'm afraid I'll have to disappoint you."
"A mass execution..." He twists his face around for a second. "No, I don't think so. Not only is it a perilous waste of ammunition, it's also a waste of time and might just give us away. These... people, they're too forgone. Even the Emperor's mercy is beyond them now. We need to question them though. They might be aware of some of this facility's recent happenings."
What would it be to question some of the crazy inmates? Would it be inquiry?
Julian Titus "JT" Treadwell
JT walks to the cell to the people that look like they are still experiencing the horror with some semblance of sanity and taps the door with his multitool to get the occupants attention. Rap Rap Rap!
"Hey buddy, yes you! What is crawling inside of you? Where did it come from!?"
DM - ARC
As Occux peruses the list of occupants, carefully eliminating subjects that are less likely to provide coherent or useful information, JT walks in and heads for the closest cell holding an occupant crying out about things being inside causing dozens of the other occupants he passes to flip into bouts of terror, hysteria and mindless self destructive rage as they hammer themselves against the reinforced bars.
"I me, they're in me. They crawl around and around and I can feel them. It hurts oh does it hurt. Please cut them out, cut them out of me. The pain, I can't stand it." as he rattles against the bar for a moment before returning to digging his finger nails into his flesh and trying to peel it back.
Occux identifies three possible candidates:
A guard imprisoned for fleeing the incident and locking his partner in behind him
A scientist flagged as working in Lab 7 who tried to dissect one of the other scientists bunking in the same room as him
A maintenance worker found holed up in an abandoned section of the ship and severely wounded on of the search team
Jacques Equus
Jacques checks over the subjects with Occux, taking the sheet and motioning over Occux, Nebdel, Skrate and Octus, moving to each of the cells in turn and opening with a similar speech to each.
"My name is Jacques, and I am an Arbites investigator. I'm going to ask some questions now. If you answer them to the best of your ability, things will go well for you. For your crimes, you may not be forgive, but trust me. Things will go better for you. Spurn me, and you spurn your final hope for salvation. This facility is doomed, and so are you unless you help us."
Jacques will then ask them these kind of questions: "Where were you when the facility began its degradation. What exactly happened? How much do you know about the civil war between the security staff? What kind of research was being performed here? If they believe there may be survivors, where might they have holed up?
Jacques will also ask his comrades to chime in with any other questions they can think of.
I'll make three separate Interrogate rolls. If I should just use one, use the first one I make.
Interrogation 1; Willpower = 33: 1d100 ⇒ 66
Interrogation 2; Willpower = 33: 1d100 ⇒ 50
Interrogation 3; Willpower = 33: 1d100 ⇒ 56
...yaaaaay

You can spend a fate point for a reroll you know
Despite Jacques insistence he is unable to get much out of the troubled individuals but he does manage to squeeze a few bits of information out of their rambling and their nonverbal responses to his questions and is sure that they know more.
There is some form of infection spreading through the facility
It was caused by a single person
When JT tries to question the people more several of them start screaming at him and reaching their bloody hands, full of torn pieces of skin, out through the bars, "The blood, the flesh, its inside and then you start to feel it moving."
A single chime emits from your implants, it appears that you've finally managed to interface with the cyber eye you collected a little while ago. Closing your eyes and concentrating on the eye you can sense as if in a dream the final images. Your minds eye flickers and shudders, slowly resolving into the corridor back the way you came. There is no sound just flashes of gunfire as the owner fires down the hall as other guards in the same uniform rush headlong into your fire. The images blurs as the owner quickly twists is head behind him and you see another guard frantically waving him back through the door. As the door shuts the owner looks down and bring his hands back away from him torso revealing blood. The other guard beside him is wounded too, a severe laceration across his left arm. The image shifts as if the owner is leaning against the wall looking back at the door as the owner begins blinking longer and longer until he opens his eyes once more and finds a thin man in an uncommon sealed suit of armour, (the old man from the videos), and an armoured combat servitor who lifts the owner off of the ground before the old man who begins examining him with an Auspex. Seeing something he doesn't like the man deftly draws a short pistol and taps a round directly into the mans head before continuing all the corridor.

"I have results from the oculus taken from the security personnel in the last section. It would seem that the tall man whom we have seen in previous vids is stalking the personnel. The device records a confrontation between security personnel, some "infected" as it were. The one implanted with the device was wounded and found by the tall man. He auspexed the subject and summarily executed him ; his findings apparently not meeting his expectations. "

You can probably find some respirators in one of the labs.
Try as you may JT, these people seem barely coherent, their minds probably shattered by whatever is happening to them.
As Jacques and JT work at the prisoners the rest notice that the cameras all seem to be focusing on your group, no longer panning back and forth. Just when you are about to comment on it you hear something over your microbeads, "Ahh, I've finally found you. Do be polite and stay the while I send some servants to collect you."
Occux Niil
Cocking his head, listening to the voice, Occux says "I recommend we prepare for our introduction to the thin-man's servants. I will attempt to determine his location."
He then interfaces with the cogitators and attempts to utilize low-level protocols to circumvent any security; trying to see where the signal for the cameras are being sent.

"One way in, one way out. One standing our ground coming right up. I wonder if we can get out of here so we don't have to fight with these mutties at our backs? Press for he lift and repel boarders! Or dig in boys?" JT asks with just a touch of a murderous glint in his eye.

sorry about that, thunder storm on Friday killed my modem and I only got my new one today. I don't know why it only shows that one picture, I have three maps in my google folder for this game as well as other stuff.
You make your way back through the security ward and out into the bloodily kill zone that is the lobby before the elevator and try to find locations to hunker down amidst the bodies and the debris. Moments after you arrive you can hear the elevator grinding and getting closer. You barely manage to find cover before the doors begin to slide backwards revealing three forms. Two hulking masses of flesh and metal flank a slimmer crouching human poised to rush in, a sinister metallic mask and breathing apparatus bolted to its face while its hands have been replaced with long whip-like weapons that seem to crackle and hum.
Please roll initiatives. Everyone gets one surprise round.

Occux opens fire first but the carbines energy buffets the humanoid but fails to pierce the flesh and armour surrounding it. Julian then tosses in his grenade just managing to catch all three in the blast. Jacques pumps two rounds from his shotgun into the hulking thing to everyone's left, the first round impacts to little effect but the second round follows through and severs the servitors arm as vitriol and sparks erupt from the wound it collapses in the elevator. Octus' new pistol proves incredibly useful as its shot burns its way straight through the armour protecting the humanoids leg and leaves a large hole.

Occux fires at the slender humanoid, grazing its right arm before it rushes headlong out of the lift, heedless of your gunfire, swinging its tentacle/whip-like arms in wide erratic arcs landing a telling blow to Jacques head (15 damage before armour and toughness plus roll toughness and add +10 for each point of armour you have on your head). JT buries a round into the humanoids sternum but despite it being a wound enough to fell most humans it is still standing...

Occux calmly grabs Nebdel's gun and whispers imprecations to the spirits withing, withdrawing a small metal vial inscribed with sacred symbols from his voluminous robes. Applying a drop of liquid to the gun's firing mechanism, Occux clears the jammed round and works the action to verify it is smooth and without obstruction.
Satisfied, he thrusts the gun back into Nebdel's hands and resumes his position.

I don't have any head armor. So, looks like, subtracting four for my toughness bonus I'm at... exactly zero wounds. Sweet! Still kicking though.

It takes a few moments of the firefight for Jacques to realize he's been hit. Blood pouring from the wound in his face, he gasps for air. His voice is barely audible. "oh... oh buggering throne.

As the weapon connects with Jacques head, the energy courses through him sending his nervous system haywire freezing him where he stands. Octus fires a short burst into the humanoid, scoring two hits (47+27) that burn their way through its armoured body and into vitals as it ignites something inside causing cascading eruptions beneath its flesh, burning its body to cinders almost instantly. The hulking mass of metal and flesh lifts its massive right arm revealing the end of gun barrels protruding where its fist should be as it fires a burst of stubbed rounds that chew up many of the bodies that Julian hides behind but none manage to connect with living flesh.
