I give up. I've looked through the book and cant find anything to give you an extra bonus on your BS. Where are you getting the +5 you've added to those weapons? Either way...

Reacting quickly J.T. snaps off a carefully placed shot that rips through the Ork's jaw and a split second later Nebdels follow up round balloons through the back of its head. Spinning it around in a half circle before dropping the body in a lump at the door.
"Huh? What happened?"
"We're under attacks."
You hear a violent commotion inside the room as furniture is knocked over and probably thrown around the room.

Initiative please...

Male Human Guardsman/Conscript

Awwww crap its about to get ugly in here!

JT gives a quick SitRep over his helmet system, "Second string engaging green skins at lift hallway."

1d10 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7

Giving his head a small shake at the precipitous nature of some of his companions, Occux secures his location behind a bulkhead and readies his las-carbine, aiming at the entrance to the room.

Initiative 1d10 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9

Jacques snarls. "Throne-damn -it we're bottleknecked! Keep back and cover the hallway entrance. Snap at any targets as soon as you see them. Create a kill-zone! The Emperor protects!"

Seconds after everyone ducks for cover and readies their weapons three ugly, thick jawed Orks burst out of the doorway. Two armed with pistols and axes while the third has what appears to be a crude flame thrower strapped to its back.

Initiative Order:

Ah b+@~@@#s...

Octus readies his shotgun and goes into overwatch around the corner, waiting for the enemy to close.

Male Human Guardsman/Conscript

they are pretty much on top of us, are you guys going to shoot!

if the others don't act:
Crap three green-skins and one with a flammer, well that is what Grenades a for right!?

JT quick draws a grenade off his webbing gear and lobs it into the filthy Xenos! Before ducking

"Suprise Greenbags!

1d100 ⇒ 49 Grenade toss

Unknown if I get a bonus to the roll because they are in a hallway or if I can half action for a throw bonus.

if everyone we shoots or the flammer equipped Ork is already down:

"Suprise Green bags! Get some!

JT drops the hammer on full auto pounding the three Orks with heavy bullets.

1d100 ⇒ 24 full auto
1d10 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 12 damage without modifiers

Male Human Arbitrator

Jacques shouts as he fires his shotgun on semi-auto at the filthy greenskins, his voice drowned out by the booms of his and his comrade's weapons.

"For the Emperor!"

Jacques aims at the one with the burna.

Semi-Auto Shotgun(BS:42+10semi-auto=52): 1d100 ⇒ 83

Jacques misses his first three shots.

Shoot Octus! Don't wait for them to give you a kiss!

Is the door they are coming out of in the side of a hallway, end of a hallway, or in a wall? If it is in the side of a hallway, could I run past to be on the other side of the group of 3 orks? Without a map some of this is kinda hard to plan. But if I could threaten the one with the flamer from the other side, he would have to turn his back on me and my sword to burn the rest of the team. If he faces and aims the flamer at me, he can't burn the rest of the team.

If I can run past to threaten the one with the flamer from the other side:
Skrate runs to the other side of the group to threated the flame wielding ork from behind. (I'm assuming that would be within the full action 18 meter distance to get to right behind him with my sword.)

If I can't run past:
Oh yeah. Flame boy could be a problem.
Skrate lines up another shot. This time at the one wielding the flamer.
BS=44, half action aim=+10, short range=+10, red dot sight=+10, called shot head=-20, total => 54
hit total 54: 1d100 ⇒ 7, damage: 1d10 + 6 ⇒ (8) + 6 = 14

Even on that ugly mu, that's going to leave a mark!

1) Is there some reason we are using called shots to the head on these guys? I hit again this time, but it is a hit penalty.
2) I can't find it. What kind of action would it be (full or half) to switch to the combat shot gun or the autopistol?

Calmly assessing the threat presented by the imposing greenskins, and also ignoring his companions shouting, Occux aims at the flamer-wielding orc and fires a volley of Laser bolts .

Attack , semi-auto (BS:31+10=41) 1d100 ⇒ 9
Three degrees of success = 2 hits

Damage 1d10 + 2 + 1d10 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 2 + (4) + 2 = 16

Male Human Arbitrator

I guess to try and bypass armor. Orks aren't too fond of helmets usually. As for switching, you could drop your gun as a free action and ready a weapon as a half-action.

Male Human Scum (Dreg)

F+#~ IT!

Octus rounds the corner, standing pretty much dead centre in the middle of the hallway. At this range, and with a flame thrower present, cover isn't exactly too much a concern for him. He aims his shotgun at the flame thrower wielding Ork's weapon.

What's the modifier on that? Also guys, don't forget range modifiers. They are assuredly close range targets, possibly even point blank.

Male Human Scum (Dreg)

I'm just going to assume a standard -20 called shot.

As the three Orks rush out of the doorway on the left side of the hall Jacques fires a burst of rounds from his new gun but the recoil throws off his aim causing his shots to scatter over the ork's shoulders and rain debris down from the ceiling. Occux levels his lasgun and manages to put two rounds into the left leg of the flame thrower ork but it doesn't fall. Aiming for the barrel of chemicals strapped to the Orks back Octus levels his carbine and fires but the ork shifts to the side after Occux's shot that his round misses, embedding itself in the wall at the end of the hall. Julian unloads a sizeable portion of his clip into the same ork and under the concentrated fire from everyone goes down in a heap. Nebdel switching his aim on the fly buries one round into the second Orks cheek, snapping its head to the side but not dropping it. The two Orks rush and close the distance, slashing at Nebdel first but missing while the other ork managed to hit Octus in the chest with its axe (8 damage, Penetration 2).

Male Human Arbitrator

That's iffy. Reading the rules for readying weapons it looks like you can switch out an item for another in the same half-action, but that I'm unusre about. Could somebody more experienced in the system chime in?

Jacques grits his teeth as he continues shooting, going this time for the one attacking Nebdel.

Half action to aim.

Skrate lines the red dot up on the remaining ork and calmly says, Surrender or die like the others. I really don't care which.

His las-carbine aimed at the ork's head, Occux's cool dry voice emerges from his face grille "His statement is true, death is your only option if resistance is continued."

Male Human Arbitrator

Orks, surrendering? Ehem, not my Orks, no sir. 'Dos boyz'd never srendar to no stinking 'umies. Unless, of course, they fail morale and decide to git da hell outa here! Might've been better just to kill the xeno scum but we'll see what happens.

Despite Occux's claim that surrender is the Orks only option it shows no signs of surrender until Octus' round decides the situation for everyone, spraying what counts for orkish brain matter across the floor. Taking a moment to examine their weapons you find yourselves overcome with the implausibility of them. In all honesty ese weapons are more likely to kill their users that anything they're aimed at. Orks must be the luckiest beings in the universe or there's something more you're missing.
Checking the room they were in you find a surgery room that has been converted to some form of butcher shop or kitchen. Blood drips thickly from the gourney heaped heavily with unrecognizeable hunks of meat. Two sides of the room are covered head to floor with broken glass cabinets that probably used to hold chemicals, surgical equipment and tools while the third wall looks like a morgue with rows upon rows of small freezer doors labeled with simple imperial numbering.
Outside, further down the hall are more similar doors that can probably be opened with the keycard.
There are six more rooms identical to this one, as far as you can tell from the small amount you can see through the tiny side window while a seventh door is solid metal.

Male Human Guardsman/Conscript

"What the hell is this place? Some kind of Imperial Xenos Research Station!? Or is this place under attack by greenskins?"

JT toggles the vox, "GREL, this is second string, four greenskins down, morgues appear to be clear of contacts. Can you advise if you are in a position to link up with second string?"

Teifling Inquisitor for Asmodeus 5, HP:47/47, AC:16, Touch:12, Flat Footed:14 F:+7, R:+3, W:+7, Init:+5, Perc:+10

Yeah, I wasn't sure if surrender was a realistic possibility or not. But since it was down to just one, I thought I'd give it a try.

Hmm... I'd guess they were eating bodies from the drawers. Someone will be getting a bad grade on their science project. Any ideas how the Orks got into the base?

Skrate makes a quick-quiet check for anything usable. He glances in a few of the drawers just to see if anything is left.

We should at least do a quick visual check of the other rooms to make sure we aren't leaving any foes behind us. Then we can see about the heavy security door.

Rising from his position, Occux enters the surgery room and impassionately regards the organic remains scattered about. Surveying the room he seeks any lab cogitators with which to interface.

Male Human Arbitrator

"The vile Orks! Throne, how did this breed seemingly infiltrate a heavily guarded Imperium base. They're the ones who've trained the air defenses against us, but what's the connection to the xenos bugs?"

Jacques turns to Nebdel. "Agreed. This breed of Orks, for all their charicteristic madness, have displayed thus far a sort of low cunning. They've infiltrated the base, seemingly without the notice of the larger Imperium and have prevented any kind of descriptive message from being sent if our sitreps are anything to go by. We must watch our backs at all times. Keep your guard up and yourselves wary."

Before going to check on the other rooms, Jacques opens one of the freezer doors and peers at what's inside.

Male Human Scum (Dreg)

You sure they snuck in here boss man? I think if this planet had an ork problem, we'd have been told. And even then, acid bugs, f!+*ed up mutants, wouldn't much put it past these people to have orks down 'ere too."

Sliding open several freezers reveals clear body bags containing the obviously autopsied remains of ogrun, ratlings, stunties (dwarves), and a strange xenos that is blue, hairless and has a large flat forehead that is roughly the size of a small human.

{ooc](GREL)[/ooc]"Negative. I'm um, stuck. I'm hiding in one of the rooms through the metal door. There's a very hungry looking creature trying to get in and my rifle's jammed. Careful its fast and tough, i got three rounds into it before my gun failed me but it didn't seem to even slow it down."

Accessing the data cogitators reveals several things:
-The different sections appear to be compartmentalized
-This layer housed their physical sciences department where live specimens were brought and dissected
-There are thousands of video logs recorded showing the dissections with a continuous monologue by the medical adepts performing the procedures
-Several times there is a tall, skeletal man shown in several of the recordings, overseeing the procedures and being referred to as 'Lord'
-In addition to ogrun, ratlings, stunties, the blue xenos referred to a Tau, there are recordings of Orks, several of the creatures you witnessed and killed on Brost and one recording of an eldar wherein the skeletal man performed the dissection himself

Teifling Inquisitor for Asmodeus 5, HP:47/47, AC:16, Touch:12, Flat Footed:14 F:+7, R:+3, W:+7, Init:+5, Perc:+10

Skrate reloads his hand cannon with standard rounds and prepares to take point again. The pistol in his right hand and the sword in his left. If necessary, he will sheath the sword if he needs a free hand for anything like doors or lifts.

To Jacques, Not to sound too paranoid, but any chance that voice is bait?

In a low voice he asks, Ya don't mind I will just make a quick check in each of these doors for anything moving.

If there are no objections and the rest are following, he heads down the hall quietly opeing each door in turn for a quick look to see if it is occupied. I he doesn't see anything to catch his interest, he moves on to the next until he gets to the metal door. At that point he will wait on the others to decide how they want to proceed.

Male Human Arbitrator

To Octus: "It's only a hunch. The real question is, if this planet never really had an Ork infestation, is how the bastards managed to get here. If they hadn't snuck in, and had instead launched a full-scale assault, then who came in from the back way? Why weren't nearby guard forces mobilized?"[b]

Jacques reloads his shotgun while talking.

To Nebdel: [b]Hrm, at this point, with as little information we have, I'd say paranoia is justified. We take it slow. Don't take anything this guy says for granted. We take this slow, cover the corners, make sure it's just not an elaborate trap."

Jacques walks over to where Occux has positioned himself next to the cogitators.

"Found anything?"

Looking up from the cogitator, Occux looks at Jacques "It would seem that a comprehensive schedule of xenological experimentation was being performed in this facility - mainly under the supervision of this man" he says pointing to a screen showing the tall "Lord" performing a vivisection of a unfortunate ratling.

"While not heretical in themselves, such investigations are by their very nature anathema to the ordered and logical extension of the Machine God's Will"

Male Human Guardsman/Conscript

"Second string copies, hold tight as we try to flank, first describe fast tango you are enguaged with. Second give intel as to what lies beyond the first set of suites after the lift, over."

Turning off the vox JT looks at judge, "Anythings possible, but we have to go in there anyway. If he is a loyal guardsman I don't like the idea of leaving a man behind. Heck after watching those videos . . . Never mind."

Male Human Scum (Dreg)

Boss, I think you're jumpin' to conclusions here. Some crazed bastards prolly captured some of tha' green s$$~s an' shipped em here. Throne knows how, but that ain't the point. I'm thinkin' they brought em here and cut em up to see what makes em tick, ya' know? Some real 'Know your enemy' type s&~@. Can't say it was the smartest move, heck I coulda told you a laundry list a' reasons this was a bad idea, but again that ain't the point. What I'm sayin' is I think the only things we need to worry about are things already down here, and maybe, MAYBE, somethin' indiginous topside skulkin' its way down here.

On a side note, aren't 40k dwarfs called squats? They used to have an army and everything back in the rogue trader days, when there was less grimdark and mor ehair metal. Now days i'm pretty sure the commissariat hunts your ass down if you so much as mention them-OH GOD! MMMPHMMPHMMMMM-

Male Human Arbitrator

"Sigh, maybe you're right, Octus. It still leaves a lot of questions, though. Who assassinated the scientists? Who took control of this facility? If these xenos are but escaped experiment-ees, who was the one who let them get free?"

On that note, what kind of armor were the Orks wearing? Were they naked or in hospital gowns or something?

Jacques Equus wrote:

Oh my god, you actually sent Zero Calorie Clear American Black Cherry Sparkling Water up my sinuses with that. Orcs in hospital gowns with their green butts sticking out the back indeed.

"It's a really big, scrawny dog-like thing with a spiny mane sticking outta the back of its head like monster dread locks. The door separates the surgical rooms from the... Worse rooms. Looks like they experimented on them in these rooms."

The Orks are wearing simple roughspun pants with no armour or even boots. Upon closer inspection of them you can see their blades are won thing more than sharpened industrial fan blades and their 'pistols' are metal tubes with a collection of mismatched and semi-random mechanical parts, some of which look like they were once part of a servitor.

There are no living beings in any of the other lab rooms. If you want to search for potentially useful items make scrutiny tests. Otherwise let me know who is opening the door.

Male Human Guardsman/Conscript

lol WTF Nebel, have you been drinking and smoking the funny plant again? You even referred to yourself as Gronk.

"You'd better check the gas seal on your mask man. Hey, if you figure a way to sneak in there past this heavy door I am all ears. We could breech and delay and then slip in. Or, we can hit this thing dynamic and get through the fatal funnel double time. Judge, you got a preference?"

If they couldn't hear the gunfire, see the door opening like normal (not booted open), see one of their green friends coming through (ork body on a frame), maybe they won't start shooting immediately.

Then again... Sounds like a lot of work. Let's just blaze in on them.

While switching to the shotgun, Got left. Octus or Occux, one of you want to get the door?

I almost did it again.

After taking a few minutes to scan the rooms you find nothing immediately useful. As soon as you open the metal door you all see the creature the trooper was describing, pacing the hall. It's roughly the size of a man on all fours with a muscular but skinny body covered in greyish green skin. It's oversized head with a mane of thick spiny growths ends in a strange combination of a beak and a tooth filled muzzle. Sensing you all immediately it's rushes down the hall at you.

everyone can get a single shot off before it attacks but you're at -5 due to everyone huddled together at the door and don't have time to aim.
