Well - that all depends... You can take multiple trips - or, with clever searching/writing discover that there is just enough boats/skiffs to carefully ferry everyone across back to the island - and from the island back to Galen and the horses.
The reality of the situation is that is not really a good idea - at least - not instantly.
Even with maxed out Channel Energy in bursts - you won't be able to heal everyone that need healing today - and maybe not tomorrow either (though it is possible...).
Moving in shifts, making sure everyone is ready to travel - and making sure the company is ready to head north can be useful.
Sacking both the ruins, and the island for food would reveal enough supplies to get that many citizens about 2 days north... maybe; just remember - you have at least a week before you get fully home - so you may need to delay the trip a bit, as you may have to hunt a bit on the way home.
Remember, too - though many are happy to see you return - the Ape men will be distrusted and feared at least - never mind the Yuan-ti - they alone have rather... difficult reputations... and how your citizens receive them will be interesting.
Looking about the injured and seriously wounded and administering healing as far as it will go around, Ariarh sighs quietly and rubs her hand across her forehead, pushing away wisps of platinum blonde hair. The Priestess had been working diligently and tirelessly beside her for an hour. Thank the gods we have her among us. Out aloud she announces, "We cannot move all these creatures tonight, there are too many wounded or recovering. So, we make camp. Kae, Brett, will you go and see if you can find supplies; food, blankets, weapons, anything of use that we can distribute among our new friends. I can spell some fresh drinking water...", her voice trailing off. "I have some bandages in my healing kit but if you can find any sheeting we can tear into strips that would be useful, too."
Turning around and spying the elven female in her party, "Clari, please take another look around the ruins to ensure we are secure for the night. It is better we are cautious -- there may be more of these cultists and we should be prepared."
Ariarh takes time to take stock of her surroundings; hoping to spy a building or structure that was safe enough (away from noxious gases and fires still smoldering) and could house the more wounded and protect everyone from the cold and rain during the night.
Perception: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (20) + 11 = 31
Hearing Anuk-su somewhere close by she calls out to her ward, noting her silver hair among the congregation, "Anuk-su, beloved, how do Sir Sylvath and the other silver kobolds' fare? It does my heart good that we found them in time; that we were able to save as many creatures as we could this day from this foul place."
In her mind she is still planning and organising the camp, We need fires built, for warmth and cooking. Stroking her griffon's head, as Dior was standing beside her, she bends down and directs, "My protector, fly and hunt down some fresh food. There must be some edible game in these parts." And with that Dior takes to the sky in search of food, keeping his eyes peeled for possible dangers and approaching enemy in the process.

"I think you're more skilled with this than I. I'll have mister fly/skulk around the camp to make sure everything is secure."
Shaezon's unseen servant is already attending to the more mundane tasks of setting up camp.

Basically, use two charges for a +2 from the healer's kit.
Use one charge for +0. +2 from the kit, -2 for only using one charge.
No charges for -4 to the check, no + from the healer's kit, and -4 for not using any charges.
Rest of the rules are pretty simple.

            Quick in game sum-up:
Basically – it’s the holidays – not everyone is able to post very much, so I’m not really expecting too much at this point via posting; again – because of the holidays. As such – here is a basic summary for the next 24 hours, based on the information I have received so far.
Your basic issue is time – there is stuff happening all around you – if you move too fast – it could be a problem – if you move too slow – it could be a problem. Of course – it may be just fine, too. Best thing is to decide what you want to do – tell me – we figure out how many days it takes – and then you’ll just know the results. Remember; in this game the world moves around you – there are no wrong answers – I just need to know what day you return to your city; that will effect what happened when you were gone. Getting back faster doesn’t make things better or worse – it just effects what you’ll find out.
1. Regarding tonight’s camp
There are some options. You could stay in the ruins totally – sending Dior – or more likely – Anuk-su (who can straight up talk) to Galen and let him know what’s what. The ruins have lots of rooms, and places to hold folk.
Downside to the ruins is that even though Ry toasted the marshes – it is on the western side of the river, and as everyone recalls the southern city is on the south western side of the river. It is likely they will have sent spies to investigate – if your allies are on that side of the river – they have plenty of safe places to sleep – but they may get ambushed or attacked. Ry would know that right away – because even though some players may have forgotten – the Acuser Devil – which was summoned has “unlimited teleport” – which means it could have bounced all the way to the enemy capital – told them everything, and been there in less then a second. They may even now have troops on the move – or they may have decided to do nothing.
I do not know if the magi in the group would have kept that information about the devil secret – but I will assume that at this point someone would have mentioned it – and you also know that the enemy “city” is perhaps 3 days forced march – maybe a week at regular pace from the south. You should have time – but time is the issue – I need speicifcs.
The east side of the lake also has houses – run-down, ramshackle – but decent shelter (kind of) – and it will let you advance pretty much straight north when you’re ready – but that would mean you’d spend a good part of the day – at least – schlepping everyone across the lake; you’ll need to do that eventually, if you take the eastern side of the lake – but you may want to wait a day.
Finally – you could move everyone to the island. It has the best defenses (as in – it’s an island) – and plenty of room, though perhaps not much food. This seems the most likely of choices – though it would mean that Galen will probably have to wait another day or so with the horses on the east side.
I should add – these are options – you can select one option, or none of them – or even decide to pick an option and tweak it to make it better – like Kae suggesting the “healing skill” being used for lethal damage. It’s up to you how creative you want to be.
2. Regarding the Silver Kobolds –
First things first – your crew of 5 – they’re all alive – but just barely. Sylvath especially has suffered – but they leveled. Basic notes on their current levels will be presented soon in the “summary” I’m working on.
You also notice there is a few interesting divisions between the kobolds.
Firstly – the silver kobolds and golden kobolds are literally different “races” – but closer to different species. Like Golden and Silver Dragons – they have different strengths, weaknesses, modifiers and powers. They aren’t all “the same” – and though they are decent with each other – there is a bit of self-segregation; but more of a cultural thing.
Also – the Silver Kobolds you are with are quite out of place – the ones you found have been living here – in hiding – (more on that later) – and their culture is much more modern and advance. No archaic language – they “get it” – they’re born relatively recently, and have been in hiding – both golden and silver – more on that later, too. But your 5 Guys – they’re kind of… unique to the others. It would be like seeing time travelers from the age of Henry V walking around with people from the south-side of London today.
A real quick “Diplomacy roll” with each species can probably aid you in securing their loyalty a bit better. You have bonuses factored in already that you don’t know about – but it can’t hurt to try.
3. Dior’s hunting…
Dior can find some things – but not much worthwhile – he is still young; dog-sized – and anything he can fly back will be smaller then him, if he tries to carry it. Also – anything on the western side of the lake – you really don’t Dior to hunt.
He’s better suited to aid in hunting on the eastern side of the lake – possibly with a few outriders – finding elk, bringing them down – then leading riders to the elk.
However – before you decide to formally send him off – you vaguely recall what happened last time you hunted elk on the east side of the river (i.e. – the wolf pack).
4. Shaezon’s effort…
Your magic certainly helps with mundane tasks like packing – not sure if Unseen servant can “row” a boat – but that may be possible, and a useful device to get the crew on the other side of the island, or the east coast.
It should be noted – Galen leveled, too – more on that later.
5. Kae’s efforts…
You’re certainly able to help in healing checks – if you have a healing kit to use at this time. And if it has doses – at the least, you can do a quick search of the grounds, if you like.
In closing – I need to know what specifically the gang will do – how far the gang intends to go tonight – and when they intend to leave for Saravale – and by what route. Again – no wrong answer – I just need to know when you get home – so I can tell you what’s been going on while you were away. Specifically - it takes us 5 days, 10 days, a month - that sort of thing... Really, even normal march puts your whole company about 7 days from the main capital - just letting you know.

Kae isn't a healer, and does not have the heal skill, so he's prolly not going to be able to make the check. but someone like Ry, Isani, or anyone else that has it could roll a heal check DC 20 and restore Hit points equal to the target's Hit Dice. If they roll a 25, they can add their wisdom mod to the heal check as well. It takes an hour to do.
Ka'etil would like to conference with the Kobold first, then the Yuan-ti in discussing going hunting. Kae aims to create a bond with the more martial of the Kobold and Yuan-ti, with whom he already shares a sort of natural bond, already, and demonstrate to them that he is not a "mere barbarian".
Are there any who are healed enough to be willing and able to go hunting with Kae and Dior? Kae would not like to ask a bunch of wounded and bed-ridden folk to join him on the hunt, but to those that are able, He would like to go out and get some fresh meat for the group. Having Ape-men lend a hand would make carrying kills back much easier.
How many bows are there available? If there are few, then Kae wants the most able archers to get them, and others who can track to join. I'll roll the checks and write the requests when i get an idea of the post-healing condition of the group. I can also toss up some info on hunting if that's cool, once i get an idea of how much healing, and resources we have.
Isani is able to channel and heal everyone within 30 ft, so if everyone crowds together in a circle around her, her 30ft radius channel can hit 96 squares.
do the Ape-men eat meat? Kae would also like to take any skilled a forraging out as well,

Isani is able to channel and heal everyone within 30 ft, so if everyone crowds together in a circle around her, her 30ft radius channel can hit 96 squares.
There is technically 95 squares - as Isani herself would occupy 1 of them.
Isani can channel 10 times - but, let me walk myself through it.
Isani - apologies - I don't mean to presume anything here, I just tried to move things forward with social RP.
Kae - if we assume that Isani has standard 2d6 - not the amulet - and the average healing - is 7 points each channel - and there is a total of 184 beings that need help - we can assume the following:
1. 5 Average channels would heal half the group 35 HP (re: (3.5 + 3.5 = 7. 7 x 5 = 35)).
2. 5 Average channels would heal the other half of the group 35 HP.
3. If Isani had the amulet - it would have naturally raised the effect - at least by 1d6 a level (at a bare minimum of 4 HP per channel) - or - roughly - for a total of 5 Channels per rotation - a total of an additional 20 HP via the 5 channels.
A standard 5th level fighter - with a Con of 16 - typically has a standard of 45 HP - we can naturally assume that the entire party of wounded and injured have been healed to full after a full daily cycle of channeling.
I apologize for any confusion - the entire party is therefore fully healed with no difficulty whatsoever.
Regarding Kobolds, Yuan-ti
Kae - you're completely able to do this. There are two ways to proceed:
1. Do a quick series of questions - aided/abetted via your Diplomacy check.
2. Socially RP it out on either this board, or your "barony boards" - I would recommend the second option, in that it would allow the greatest flexibility available to your character - and it would allow the most mobility here. As such - I can hop over to your board whenever you like.
Just ask who you'd like to come - they will follow - if you ask them. Their creation is designed for the potential to recruit cohort's, councilmembers, and followers - if you want - or are interested in - the chance to recruit or mingle with them. Just let me know what you'd like to do - and we'll make it happen.

It should be noted that not all the creatures can use bows - but that does not prevent them from hunting.
The Ape Chimps can move much faster then Kae in the woods - even the one's that aren't barbarians - and if they get on the open plains - you'd need a horse to catch them.
The Yuan-ti types can move normal pace - but they have advantages that you've encountered - including poison spit - but the cobra heads prefer live meat; generally.
The kobolds can also hunt - but most of their experience has been from underground - they have been in hiding for the most part.

The crowd has taken time to move their gear across to the eastern side of the water - leaving behind the island, and the smoldering ruins.
It takes move then one trip to move them across - for their numbers are many - but by sunset - the full task is complete.
You are able to encourage the group to spread out and become comfortable - you notice right away that though they have taken well to your comments (Ariarh and Arasmes) - there seems to be modest division in the ranks for individuals.
You detect nothing untoward in this - only that the party has self-segregated into race and species - bunking close to each other, and becoming more friendly with "like species" - some avoiding others altogether...
Meanwhile - your companions do what they can to become comfortable.

The current company has subdivided into many sections – you notice instantly there seems to be both tension and animosity between the Yuan-ti and the others – though the tension comes specifically from the others. Yuan-ti are not considered a “goodly” species – they are distrusted, and their purposes are generally dark and suspicious.
Further – these bold references to higher purposes are eclipsed with more base realities – it seems the cold-bloods don’t do well with warm bloods – in that the Ape men do not trust either the Yuan-ti, nor the kobolds – and the kobolds don’t care much for the Yuan-ti for ancient reasons – the Yuan-ti seem to be driven by some odd desire to place Anuk-su in a place of worship – and apparently would be quite friendly with the kobolds – but neither they nor the Ape men are quite interested in trusting them – though the Ape men seem to trust them less because of a simple doubt of their race – while the kobolds distrust their heritage – and (of course) neither is too excited about traveling with the former captives, suspecting that even if the Yuan-ti may in fact be trusty – not all of them may honest. It could very well be that a spy or “plant” would be left alive in their group to infiltrate the party – that is just the sort of duplicity that their culture is known for.
Nevertheless – the night goes on, and the small groups are subdivided into separate camps. For those of you who decide to wander – allow me the opportunity to show you what you discover at each “camp” as you move about.
The Silver Kobolds
There is a bit of an uncomfortable situation here – and you almost feel sad when you mingle. Clearly your friends are eager to be comrades and companions with their descendants – but what is clear from the start is that there is apparently a huge discrepancy in perceptions.
The ancient kobolds expected to be treated as one of the family – distant cousins back from a journey. But to the survivors – the silver kobolds are quite uncomfortable. They don’t know how to deal with the ancient ones – there’s no common ground – no frame of reference – no shared stories or jokes or tales or music. Though your friends look forward to a potential happy homecoming – what is quite clear is that it is very uncomfortable for the newer generation. Even their accents are strange – you hear mixed in their dialect hints of Terran and hints of Undercommon – though you are not sure.
This tension between the two groups clearly makes sense – in a strange way – imagine if a crowd of folk entered your neighborhood – eager to share your food and stories – and their language was ancient, their customs different – their knowledge antiquated at best… It seems like adults trying too hard to fit into a party with young people – and with no liquor to ease that journey – it’s quite awkward. Further – it does not help that though your companions come from a near martial company of proud warriors akin to some version of knight’s errant – the “young generation” is far different. Forced to live in hiding – in dark caves in the ground – their culture is more modern, more gruff, more… “roguish” – forced to steal and fight in the darkness just to survive and protect themselves from dark threats – a person like Sylvath is almost intimidating, if not downright shocking to them.
And after seeing how he is received – they feel more like outsiders then ever before. Despite Sylvath’s generosity and courtesy to them, they feel tense around him – like he’s trying too hard – and being too good…. This makes things hard for both, and they want to be at ease with each other – but it’s clearly a bumpy ride, and you sense more such rides to come.
The Golden Kobolds
The golden kobolds have less difficulty then the silver ones. They gather around the fires, speaking in quite whispers in draconic. Their attitude is different then the silver ones in general. More pacific – more gentle – more self-regarding and thoughtful. The golden kobolds seem more aligned to wisdom, lore – knowledge – and from what you overhear – their language is mixed with a smattering of unusual accents – you believe that you can detect Celestial, Ignan and Sphinx in their dialect – but are not sure. They keep to themselves, and will politely answer any questions – but do not engage with the others directly – nor do they seem interested in asking you much.
Ariarh, Brett and Kae think they recognize a slight dialect inherent in their words – you believe the accent these folk speak – when they speak Common – is most closely related to your old companion Gan Mondragone…
Yet they say little – quickly returning to their own conversations when you leave them.
The Apemen
These beasts commingle fairly easily – but again – they are farther from the group. Their presence is closet to the north east – farther from the lake, near the forest – and in the deeper night you hear them.
Moving forward you are free to examine them – it seems that they have created a large bonfire – many of the males – both Chimp and Gorilla have taken logs and fashioned them into crude drums – and have begun to beat on them in a rhythmic throbbing. You see several of the Chimps dancing around the central blaze – while others – Chimp and Gorilla – kneel in the dirt and wave their arms to the overcast heavens – grunting in some sort of strange ecstasy.
You cannot tell if it is a religious ritual – or simply jubilation to be free and alive – but whatever the case may be, their music is wild, passionate, pagan, barbaric and infectious. If you enter it – if you move into it – you feel yourself swept up in its barbarism – a desire to dance, to feast, to kill, to mate, and to let your limbs loose with the grotesque raw sensuality infects you deeply.
The Apes – if they see you – will encourage you to dance with them – to roar out barbaric cries to creatures of strange names – gods perhaps – or the names of the fallen? You don’t know – and you don’t ask, because they seem uninterested in speaking of the details – only contenting themselves with the music and revelry.
As the night continues you see some of the males engage in fighting – you suspect these are sparing matches – signs of dominance perhaps? The losers of the fights are hurt – but not often badly – no more then a barroom brawl – and the victors of the fight it would seem are spurned forward by these actions – afterwards you notice the victor will take from the crowd of onlookers a female to rut with – and the female –though it would seem protests the action quite violently… you think this may be some sort of complex mating ritual… All the females who “fight” the males… they calmly stand around watching the fight, hooting and roaring their pleasure contentedly until the winner of the fight is determined – then the protest ensues.
Yes – you suspect that if your allies in these Apes were forcing themselves truly on the females – at the least they would have fled before the fight was concluded instead of waiting to watch and encourage the fight.
The Yuan-ti
They stay together as well – the Cobra-headed types have largely fallen victim to sleep – it seems that a warm fire or cold night leaves them sluggish and eager to rest. Some of them you have noticed have feasted – and you shudder; for you catch the fact that they have taken whole squirrels that they caught – and took their thrashing bodies to swallow twitching whole down their gullet – even as a serpent would.
The other caste – they are apart, and sit in small groups around fires as well. Among all the prisoners they are the best equipped – clearly knowing where the chief stores were. Yet they took nothing remarkable – no valuable gear that you can see – but some oddments that are slightly strange.
You see several of them are sitting around a low fire and sharing a pipe – the smell is sweet – and you think it is a combination of hashish and hemp – but you are not sure.
You see one in front of a small fire – strange runes have been traced about it – and he has cast dust on the fire. It glows blue now – and smells strange – like myrrh, but somehow more otherworldly.
You see several practicing weapon katas with swords like the one’s that Brett’s friend took – and others still have taken small crude idols – like stone snakes, putting them on the ground and lighting small candles around these same idols. There, they sit in front of the idols with their legs crossed and palms upwards, fingers pressed against thumbs– eyes rolled back into their heads and chanting dully in a language that you cannot recognize but are told is called “Azlanti”.
Meanwhile –
Brett has decided he won’t be wasting his time. He has spent a good portion of the evening moving from group to group – trying to study and learn – spending roughly an hour with each group. Yet always with him is the girl Anaitis – for she claims the Halfling saved her from death and is now her sahib.
This answer is not as well received by some as others – but, for now – it is enough.
You observe that Brett and Anaitis – whatever they do – are seen to do the following.
Silver Kobolds
At the silver kobolds Brett speaks a lot to them – specifically to the younger ones – telling some jokes and offering a pipe to a few of the younger lads. This seems doubly well received as it seems to annoy Sylvath for some reason – Brett shares a few jokes, but enlarges on the valiance of Sir Sylvath and the silver kobolds – exaggerating somewhat their importance in the town; stressing clearly that the town not only will be happy to see them, but eager to see them.
Also – catching a few of them have an Undercommon dialect – he quickly dismisses any prejudice on that count, rather enlarging on various recipes regarding mushrooms – knowing that is a favored staple of the Underdark – and genuinely shows interest in their cooking, eager to share recipes with the others.
Golden Kobolds
The golden kobolds receive attention as well – Brett recognizing the accent of Gan Mondragone decides to use that to his advantage as well – speaking of teas and other various styles of food that was well received. His questions are the most direct here – but also, the least imaginative – he asks what their purpose is – what their plans are – what they will do – and where they shall say.
Their answers are – at best – esoteric – and he spouts up a few statements that are clearly meant to sound “wise” – but generally have the effect of seeming a bit… put-on. Sensing he is being humored at best – he politely moves on.
The Apemen
The Apemen is where Brett seems to shine. Watching the folk at their bonfire for a moment, he leaps out suddenly – startling and seemingly enraging them. A heavy Gorilla-like one charges up to him – granting him a fierce and violent growl as it slams his chest with his heavy paws. Brett seems shocked, and the girl Anaitis would draw her sword – but Brett suddenly yells back as loud as he can, beating the ground over and again with his tiny fists – dancing and capering around the massive paws of the brute – just out of reach, so that others watch.
Any moment, if Brett were grabbed – he could be seriously hurt or even killed – but he is just out of reach – until the Ape roars again in frustration – Brett joining – then astounding them all by laughing long and loud. This seemed to shock the bunch – but he plucks up one of the startled drums from one of them and begins a capering dance around the fire – this seems to encourage them to follow his antics – in confusion at first – until they quickly do so out of habit – then out of the shear joy of the wild abandon.
Brett spends perhaps the longest with this bunch – laughing with them, his humor confusing the apes somewhat – for even when one of them lands a solid punch on his head – marking him badly by bloodying his nose and causing Anaitis to reach for her blade – instead of reacting negatively – Brett merely laughs at the offender – confusing them all, but pleasing them heartily as he barks out sometimes that he didn’t mind the beating because he was “too pretty” anyway.
To any watching Brett it seems that this crew is – at best – eager to live life to the fullest – and be happy doing so. They want to live brutally – and with an open sensuality that is near lacking civilization altogether. You can’t honestly tell if Brett is putting on an act, or genuinely enjoying the barbaric “play”… yet you suspect it is a combination of the two.
Indeed – once Anaitis realizes what he is doing – she “apes” Brett’s actions, too – but is less received at first – but quickly, once she dances the steps, and demonstrates her intensity – seems to be accepted; even so much as a younger Chimp tries to fight another in her presence – but when he advances to her she fights him off – not with brute strength, but a curious unarmed fighting style which manages to cause him to tumble into the bushes – leaving the others hooting and clapping loudly at his failure.
You notice that Anaitis laughs at the chimp later – and shares with him a drink – but after a brief word – the chimp seems less inclined to further “amorous advances” – at least – you see no more that night…
The Yuan-ti
Brett leaves the apes to speak with these folk – having been prompted somewhat by Anaitis – he says little to the cobra heads – seeing they’re mainly in a state of near-slumber. He also avoids the smokers for some reason – a fact you find odd considering his passion for smoking – but you have a hunch this is due largely to the fact that he may have been warned off by Anaitis.
Brett also avoids ones that linger close to the snake idols – a point that doesn’t surprise you – as they seem to be in a religious ritual. He pauses a moment or two by the one by the fire, kneeling patiently – and says a prayer or two in a language that you think is either Celestial or Draconic – but you believe it to be to Apsu. He doesn’t stay there long, as the pureblood “praying” doesn’t seem very open to talk.
Brett advances mainly to the folk with the weapons practicing their maneuvers. He watches a bit, even as one of them sees him – their seems to be some discussion between the chief of these lads – and Anaitis – one of them pointing several times to her sword and armor – while she points to Brett – Brett seems to be doing his best to take it all in coolly, but his eyes are intent and he seems very determined to watch everything.
When the conversation between Anaitis and the others are done – they speak with Brett directly – it’s hard to hear what their words are – but their voices are soft and melodious – and you feel a desire to agree with the speaker – and any who would gainsay the voice is one that darkens your eyes. Indeed – you have an overwhelming desire to follow the speaker of those voices – their words, what you can make out – are undoubtedly goodly and wise – and certainly just. Any who would speak against those voices seemed somehow uncouth and rustic – and those who threatened the voice drew your very ire and perhaps anger…
Yet despite this – Brett seems to be prepared… or at the least, he has steeled himself against such confusion. He answers well – and when the chief of the swordsmen seeks to stand against Brett – perhaps testing his fortitude – the Halfling smirks – whips out a lump of hardtack and tosses it into the air. The others watching this in bored surprise are shocked as Brett then follows it up by jerking his pistol and firing at the bread – the lead bullet slamming it into crusty crumbs – and the sound echoing round the camp like thunder.
You are not sure what Brett says then – but the spell seems diminished – if spell it was. Brett now seems be in complete control – his old self – and the others are now cowed by his action – even as Anaitis seems to suggest that she was correct in her assessment. The warriors of the group bow to both her and do a strange salute in which they clench both of their fists and raise them to the heavens, their heads bowed.
Brett acknowledges it coolly, then returns to his friends campfire.
Whatever it was that Brett has decided to do is – naturally – shared between Brett and the GM. Of course – if any of you have similar plans – now that you saw how Brett did it – you have an idea on what I’m looking for. Tell me who you decide to visit – and where you decide to go – and what you decide to do when you get there. Do you want to talk to one group – or another? Each group will require a basic “Diplomacy Check” for “Gather Information”. In this case your DC’s stay the same – but instead of 1d4 hours – you have 1d4x15 minutes for each question. Of course – if you have no desire to interact – that is cool, too.
Well – that wraps up what Brett and Anaitis do this night. For the rest of you – just let me know. Good luck!

Holy crap...well those rolls work lol. Mostly he is just trying to improved the groups relations to him and by extension the group as a whole. He will also be trying to get information about the various groups races/culture and such. I can't think of any specific questions right now.

For right now - as you haven't asked any direct questions, just trying to improve relations. Without specific methods or styles - I'll do the best I can with the rolls you got.
Certainly they were good rolls - but as I have limited access to what you need (other then getting in good with them) - I may have some difficulties on how to proceed.
A good idea is to do what Brett did - naturally I know his character very well - and he told me directly what he would do - yet I insisted that he take the time to "toss it on the board". While this may seem like a redundancy - I would feel remiss to have Brett do that, and not expect that from everyone.
After all - this is a story we all contribute to - if I don't know what you guys do - sure, I could write your actions for you - but that doesn't seem to be very helpful.
Short answer: the more details I get - the more data I can provide. But for now - you did a good job to walk around improve relations as a whole - it seems the group generally likes your group a lot, especially based on your rolls.
I look forward to your questions soon :)

Arasmes moves to the Silver Kobolds and goes to Sylvath and his broodmates first. Stating his admiration for their ability to survive under torture he asks if they were able to glean any information from their captors about any allies they had or plans they may have overheard for after the ritual.
Gold Kobolds:
Arasmes introduces himself to the Gold Kobolds and respectfully asks if there is anything they need. He also looks to try and ask about the origins of their species and the similarities and differences between them and their silver brethren...other than the obvious I mean.
Apemen:
Arasmes mostly tries to keep relations going well with them.

Hmm... answers tomorrow - but...
1. More details - remember - the silver kobolds are in two "camps" - your boys - and the new guys. just something to consider
2. I'll toss up the gold ones and Sylvath's answers tomorrow, no worries.
3. finally - both the Apes and Yuan-ti have two different "races/species" within their groups - which are you dealing with - they each have their own methodology and information packages - need to know who you talk to - and so on - that sort of thing. Pureblood, Chimp verse Gorilla - both, altogether - you know... and how you proceed within the context.
Answers to come when I get home from work tomorrow...

Ariarh with Isani in tow will mingle about the various groups now divided among race and species. The segregation did not bode well, especially if they were to transport all the rescued creatures to Saravale.
SILVER KOBOLDS
Ariarh and Isani move together first to their known silver kobold guardsmen.
Isani remains quiet (except to ask about their health) by the Lady Druid's side. Ariarh bows her head respectfully to Sir Sylvath and his ancient kobold folk.
"I have heard that you endured honourably under the terrible torture perpetrated upon you, Sir Sylvath. We owe you a debt of gratitude for your loyalty and bravery, good knight, which cannot be naysaid. If I might ask you a question or two, I would be appreciative of your time. Was there anything that your captors, these cultists, said that we should know about? Did they mention names, places or particular dates for any nefarious plots on the capital? Did you recognise any of them, Sir?"
Ariarh will then ask of the relations between his group and the new silver kobolds discovered and what problems/issues lay between them, if any? She would ask Sylvath if he believed there could be a problem assimilating the new generation silver kobolds into the society and community of Saravale since they had spent the better portion of their time underground?
Then Ry and Isani would walk to the side where the new silver kobolds congregated and would offer them kind words and assurances where possible. She would seek out the leader of the new silver kobolds -- or the head kobold and speak to him/her.
Q1.) "Well met. I am Lady Ariarh and this is Priestess Isani. I would know your name, if you would give it. Do you know why you and your kind were created and bred by your captors? Did they give you a sense of what your purpose would be in their future plots and plans?"
Q1. Isani's Diplomacy to aid the Lady Ariarh: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (1) + 12 = 13
Q1. Ariarh's Diplomacy: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (18) + 10 = 28+2=30
Q2.) "I believe you were kept underground by our enemy. If you were to find a new home, safe and one where you could live and work would you prefer living beneath the earth or do you think you could envision a life above ground living among a community of varied races and species?"
Q2. Isani's Diplomacy to aid: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (4) + 12 = 16
Q2. Ry's Diplomacy: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (5) + 10 = 15+2=17
Q3.) "How do you feel being reunited with your ancestors, Sir Sylvath and his brethren? I understand they were most eager to locate you and be reunited with their kinfolk. Is there possibility of unity among the silver kobold populace?"
Q3. Isani's Diplomacy to aid: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (2) + 12 = 14
Q3. Ry's Diplomacy: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (15) + 10 = 25+2=27
GOLD KOBOLDS
Once again, Ariarh and Isani will seek out the leader or head man/woman of the group and direct the questions toward he/she. They will make introductions once more and then ask the name of the leader of the group.
Q1.)"Wet met. I have never before seen kobolds with the gold hue of your skin. Please forgive me but I must ask, what is the main skill of your folk in particular and what was your race's importance to the cultist enemy? To be exact, why did the enemy create the gold kobolds, for what purpose or plan?"
Q1. Isani's Diplomacy to aid: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (2) + 12 = 14
Q1. Ry's Diplomacy: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (16) + 10 = 26+2=28
Q2.) "Do the golden kobolds have written lore? Gods that you worship and draw power/magic from?"
Q2. Isani's Diplomacy to aid: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (12) + 12 = 24
Q2. Ry's Diplomacy: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (19) + 10 = 29+2=31
Q3.) "Are your folk peaceful or warmongers? Do you seek harmonious balance/interaction in a mixed and varied society?"
Q3. Isani's Diplomacy to aid: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (7) + 12 = 19
Q3. Ry's Diplomacy: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (14) + 10 = 24+2=26
YUAN-TI
Before encountering the area occupied by the various species of the Yuan-Ti, Ariarh has a quiet, discreet word to Isani. "Anaitis is a pureblood Yuan-Ti from what I have observed and I have seen her gain dominion over Brett Rowan's will with a look and a hand motion. It must be an ability they possess -- the cultist leader al-Kazeem tried the same trick on me once in Saravale. So, let us presume that all the purebloods have this ability and possibility some of the half-bloods. I would rather not be mentally swayed by these creatures -- we require a clear mind! Be vigilant, Priestess. And I have a request, could you undertake the questioning as mayhap an Osiriani-speaking stranger may be better received by the Yuan-ti."
Both ladies see the various rituals, totems/idols, and alike and keep their steps clear of the heaviest incensed areas and from the sound of chants etc.
They would both make their way to one of the less active snake-folk, one of the purebloods if possible. They will enquire into the welfare of all Yuan-ti before asking their questions.
Q1.)
Question 1 repeated in Common tongue if Osiriani is not understood,
Q1. Isani's Diplomacy: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (20) + 12 = 32+2=34
Q1. Ry's Diplomacy to aid: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (6) + 10 = 16
Q2.)
Q2. Isani's Diplomacy: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (8) + 12 = 20+2=22
Q2. Ry's Diplomacy to aid: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (9) + 10 = 19
Q3.)
Q3. Isani's Diplomacy: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (6) + 12 = 18+2=20
Q3. Ry's Diplomacy to aid: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (5) + 10 = 15
APE-MEN - Chimp & Gorilla
Ariarh and Isani stand by the forest edge, mindful of the wild displays, rhythmic dancing and drumming. The brute strength of the gorillas makes Ariarh slightly nervous and unlike Brett she does not enter their fighting arena. Instead Ariarh and Isani choose to listen to the music and clap their hands and tap their feet to the swollen rhythm of the drums -- enthralled with the joyful display and also witnessing the wildness of the beasts. The rutting of the dominant males with the willing yet vocal females makes Isani blush and look down meekly (so as to not offend the Ape men).
Ariarh will approach one of the less brutish apes, possibly one of the chimps and will speak with them,
Q1.)"Your music is wild and joyful and after a day filled with hardships and loss it is a natural form of healing. If I may ask, what did the cultists have in mind for your kind? What tasks were they setting in place for the various Ape men in these lands and beyond?"
Q1.Isani's Diplomacy to aid: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (6) + 12 = 18
Q1. Ry's Diplomacy: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (20) + 10 = 30+2=32
Q2.) "What are you looking for now that you are free? What lands would best suit your needs?"
Q2. Isani's Diplomacy to aid: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (14) + 12 = 26
Q2. Ry's Diplomacy: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (19) + 10 = 29+2=31
Questions to a Gorilla leader asked by Isani:
Q3.) "What are your strengths so we may determine how best you will fit into the community within the northern lands?"
Q3. Isani's Diplomacy: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (8) + 12 = 20+2=22
Q3. Ry's Diplomacy to aid: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (1) + 10 = 11
Q4.) "Please tell the Lady Ariarh and myself something about your beliefs, about your culture. Are there gods that you worship, pray to, and how does your society function? Do you have classes or castes, those with higher intelligence and lore and those with brawn and might?"
Q4. Isani's Diplomacy: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (13) + 12 = 25+2=27
Q4. Ry's Diplomacy to aid: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (10) + 10 = 20

After the mingling and questioning is done, Ariarh will find a quiet spot, draw her beloved griffon to her as she requires further information from him. She casts Speak with Animals on herself (spell lasts for 6 mins).
She begins asking Dior a series of questions (in squeaks, squawks, growls, chirps) regarding Anaitis nes-Ma'at hoping to get a clearer picture of what the snake girl is about.
"Did you see how she seemed to bespell Brett Rowan into compliance regarding Arasmes? Was it similar to what al-Kazeem tried to do to me inside his tent in the village?"
"What have you sensed about these other creatures? I am hesitant with some and have concerns regarding their acceptance or assimilation within Saravale. Do you sense anything bad about the various races and species among us?"

Response to questions –
Concerning roll about plans via silver kobolds, mostly your allies –
The Silver Kobolds have never quite trusted Arasmes in the past – but you sense with this astonishing display of diplomacy – that this time they are greatly impressed by your efforts. You are not entirely sure of Sylvath – he’s clearly upset about something – but you believe that your allies definitely are NOW your allies in heart AND mind. This is a good thing – regrettably, though – they did not gain any information from the torture. The folk that did the work offered little – except to speak in their own tongue. If it helps – Sylvath mutters that he saw the symbol of Azathoth several times.
Gold kobolds – and their history –
They are quite taken by your obvious courtesy – and easy grasp of matters of form and levels of respect and honor. No doubt you learned quickly as a youth the penalty for disrespect – but; the lesson is well used here – for the golden kobolds are only too delighted to share lots of lore with you about their history.
The majority of the lore is a combination of folktale, legend, and hidden secrets. Apparently – they were nearly wiped out – and kept their records in oral tradition – so that none could find evidence of them. They suggest that they were made by the Lord Apsu – to be an aid to the Golden Dragons when they were young – but, over time – that aid and need diminished – as did their necessity. Even though they were not wiped out by a god – they were not replenished by divine assistance. Their strength and numbers rose and fell largely due to the success of their tribe – however – it should be noted that their folk ended up migrating – and, over time – many of them traveled the earth. The mixture you find comes from a recent clan that was lately in Tian Xia – though you are not familiar with that. There, they met a priest who gave them aid to the other side of the world to escape a threat – and they found themselves in Osiriani – and lived in the wilds – discovering and allying themselves with some Djinn and a group of Sphinxes who gave them aid – before they were wiped out by the barbarians that took them north to this land via magic.
Apemen:
Pretty big disadvantage here – they know you’re a magic user – and they don’t trust magic – but, at the least – they tolerate you, and don’t mind your presence too much. If you are willing to “rumble” – they’ll like you better – but they play a bit rough… even so – they’re generally barbaric – but sense no true evil intentions in them.
Yuan-ti:
They were enlisted as soldiers and "temple guards" – to be allayed with the priest you killed. However – they want to give you information – but they inform you that their people are extremely well versed in how the mind works. Because of this - their leaders seem to think that it is good policy to prevent folk from having information that can be taken from them by threat or force. The less they know – the less chance they’ll have to spill information.
On the plus side – you believe them to be very logical, extremely pragmatic – and utterly willing to be friendly, and are generally delightful around you, which suggests your Diplomacy roll did extremely well with them. You believe it may have to do with a shared heritage in that they are not well looked on by regular folk, and they suspect you are in the same position. Seeing that – you guess they are generally very eager to be friendly with you –and if you ever want to chat with someone – they will happily accept your invitation.

Q1. Isani's Diplomacy to aid the Lady Ariarh: 1d20+12
Q1. Ariarh's Diplomacy: 1d20+10+2=30Q2.) "I believe you...
Well – I’m sure once you read this over you’ll be at least delighted that everyone is – for a change – very nice, very friendly – and very “team oriented”. So – yay!
Speaking to Sir Sylvath regarding new kobolds –
”Lady – with them I am truly concerned. But the concern is more for my people then the city. I do not think they will have much difficulty becoming part of your community – if handled properly. But our own? They are far different then the ideology and discipline which we were taught our folk followed. Further – they do not adhere to the ancient ways, nor do they follow the codex of our Brotherhood from centuries ago. They are – in short – I will not say wicked, nor even bad – yet when I looked for kinsmen to lift steel to honorable victory for the gods and our leader – I saw only… I saw peasants – willing to do whatever it took to survive, no matter how it effected their honor.”
”While I appreciate the fact that they did survive – true – I am, sadly – disappointed that they abandoned the values of heritage in favor of more… modern? Yes – modern values. It will take time – but, in the end – I sense that the younger generation – if handled properly – may be better suited to our values. Their parents? I think are afraid, and nervous – and too eager to survive rather then die gloriously or with honor. Still… Well – in any case… The underground? No – I do not think that is a true worry. They are, like my own kindred – at least adaptable. They will do well and thrive, I should think – wherever you put them. Yet I would ask that place be closer to… well; let us say this – if it were me, and I ruled – I should not segregate them – but, I should not allow them to mingle overly much with certain disreputable elements of the town. They need guidance – even the older ones – being near so much wealth and luxury could easily lead to avarice, sloth, and other vices… I do not know your plans for them – if you have any specific ones – but I would my folk in good and honest company… In this matter I trust to your judgment, of course,” he adds with a bow.
Your meeting with the Leader of the Silver Kobolds
Question 1 – regarding breeding, name and purpose…
A silver kobold – you would guess perhaps a little older then Sylvath in relative years moves to you. His left cheek is scarred heavily – and his left eye missing. He looks you up and down.
”Oye – me name’s Grymm – I’m Top Man here, and it looks like ye and yer mates be the ones that done free my lads and all, eh? Cheers to that, chief. Ye be a ‘toff, or common as Like Folks?” he adds – and you hear the distinct merger of more base accents in his words – much like Brett, he has a far more… “low class” slang; and though you instantly guess he is wise, learned, and probably very cunning – you realize he likely has no immediate formal education, except what he picked up in his travels.
Hearing your question about breeding – his eye narrows.
”Them don’t be creating nothing – they be got the trick o’ magic in blood, some in books – but they twist not make, follow? They don’t make dung – they only take what the gods done make and bend it for their doings. I got a reckoning that be aligned to using our blood for sorcery magic.”
He nods once, as if it is obvious.
”We got the draco blood in us, what? That be the root o’ magic they done say – so they want it – want it bad. You make man with draco blood born – he born sorcerer sure, eh? Well and true, chief. But what if blood be put in body o’ lad already walking – like curse o’ were beast – or goblin poison, eh? Then maybe you take man and make him better at magic, eh? Next thing doing – he be sure enough to cast hard spells – harder then most be born with bloodline true – if it blended right. Sure ‘nuff that be the reckoning me and my mates done got on it – and it be right clear as rain, what?” he says, watching you – gauging your reaction.
Preference on being underground…
”Earth be blowed! We live where we ain’t going to be hunted – we got caught sure ‘nuff – look what happened, what? We took caves for the hiding – and it served us fair, for a piece – we done trade from time to time – kill them that come at us – and just try to live. But caves be holes in rock – you got better then that – by Besmarasa's teats, we done take that offer righto, chief,” he says. His words are enthusiastic – but his tone is reserved, tense – as if he’s skeptical and nervous about a potential trap. You sense your rolls on the second question were not as fruitful as they might be, but not too bad off.
A Knowledge: Religion Check may give you insight on who Besmarasa is – something about it seems vaguely religious – though what it is – you don’t know…
Unity with kindred –
”Bah – with them, chief? They be so stuck on matters o’ pride – hard telling. Maybe if ye pull the sword out o’ Stiffy’s arse he might not be too bad – but I tell ye truth – they need to relax some. Now – the other lads – the one called “Glaidus”? Queer name fer a lad, aye – but he at least got some guts to him – I’ll drink with him, maybe – but he’s so about tipping hat to dead gods and draco’s – he kind be shady-like, too, what? Who knows – maybe – maybe not… We’ll see on that count.”
In closing -
He gives you a once over, nodding a bit.
”Chief – ye be the first man-folk that don’t be trying to use my kin – that speaks good on ye – and I won’t forget it, - nor ye saving my mates. We truck with ye for a spell, as it were – test yer mettle and all, and I got a reckoning it be shiny – or I be blind as ol’ Ydersius – but I reckon ye got a knowing on that better then most, eh? he adds with a grin, a wink and nod toward the Yuan-ti.
Golden Kobolds…
Leader – why they were taken – create the golden kobolds…
The leader of the group is what you would consider middle aged. Seeing you approach, and hearing your words, he cocks his eye in confusion – but answers you politely – though you sense he may be humoring you after you asked who "made them".
”Greetings and well met – I am called Soichi-noh-Nobu-noh-Satoru. I am honored to meet you,” he says with a bow.
”You are clearly the leader of this expedition – for that you do my folk too much honor. We answer your questions as best as possible at this time,” he adds.
”Firstly – we were not – and have never been created or fashioned by the hands of men – nor have we been vomited from the dark recesses of Orochi,” he adds the last sternly, with a cool gleam in his eyes as he looks toward the Yuan-ti.
”Even so – our skill – mainly and otherwise, as I deem it – was the value of our blood. Should one be infused it’s potency – no doubt it could – with the right merger – and proper application – gain great power. Of a certainty – I feel that was their objective – that is – the barbarian enemy. They wished our blood for use in warriors – hoping to birth in their folk great power. A merger of blood can spawn great power, true – even so – can a tiger forget its stripes? No – I do not think so – and so too their blood has not forgotten the path the gods made for it. As such – their efforts were doomed to fail by Divine right – and so they did.”
Written lore/gods –
”Ours is in ancient race – and we do indeed have much lore – yet our cities were destroyed by great evil long ago – and that lore is mostly lost. To protect such things e have trained our minds in deep study – so that our priests do not forget – and they possess much wisdom – much power – and much in the way of ancient customs. We follow the great gods – but our chief is – of course – Apsu; for he made our kindred – of all colors. Yet, beyond him we honor all gods of wisdom and peace – Desna – Irori – Serenrae – to name a few. But we have no churches, and our people are nomadic now – moving from place to place – hiding from man, for if we feared discovery. Even so… As we are known by too many – we ponder our next journey.”
Harmony verses Warmongers
”This is a clear question that needs not be asked – all life, by definition – seeks harmony. The body – the elements – the heavens. For all things there is balance – with the night there is day; with the sun, the moon – with life, death. A true being of purpose does not seek to impose their will on these things – rather; they accept their Fate with dignity – and honor – and move forward to meet it with grace and humility. Even so – this does not prevent us from seeking to do all we can to achieve good works – but, in the end, it is best to recall that all life is truly suffering – and that, once that maxim is accepted – the enlightenment can be begin, and peace found. To deny suffering is to deny a piece of life – it is as real as joy – but how can you know joy without suffering? How can any creature know anything – if they do not allow themselves to know all sides of a thing – be it all things; including life. Once we accept that life is suffering – we can truly appreciate the taste of joy.”
He bows again – confident his words are not only clear – but make perfect sense to another enlightened soul such as yourself.
FYI – via your high roll – I’ll grant you this much – their particular bent in many capacities you’d think – is likely to be “Cloistered Cleric” – and possibly a type of Monk. More then that – you don’t know…
YUAN-TI
Name – type – answers to dissention…
Looking at the company – the ones best suited to your query – you believe – would be the Purebloods who practice their martial arts. Less interested in magical practices, religious rituals – they seem more apt to be… warriors? Such studies do not often breed subtlety.
You discover the leader of this group is a wiry looking male with a pinched face and narrow eyes.
”Greetingssss… I am called Sseht – and I am happy to make your acquaintance… “ he says softly, his head bowed before you – his eyes watching you.
”It is true the masters called us to kill the Serpent goddess yonder – and we would obey – yet… we were prevailed upon by our kinsmen – for they spoke… they suggest that the Serpent goddess is greater then our own – and therefore more worthy of praise. It is logical to follow such reports – and, therefore – we do so. We are a simple people – some may call us… pragmatic? Even so – all things direct us best with logic. It is a clear path to enlightenment – even the gods are best worthy of praise – once they demonstrate their value. And all gods do – if given time.”
”Faith is illogical – in practice – for it calls the subject to value or believe in what cannot be proven. Faith further makes no apology for such mendacity – nor does it allow the subject shame when they claim a belief in the unproven… This is quite distasteful to us… Our own “faith” – as it were – is far more realistic. We know the gods for what they are – beings of immense power – the power of creation – the power of immortality – the power of might… What are we to them, but insects? Meanwhile – their power is demonstrable – computable – mathematically verifiable, and therefore quite reliable. We only need observe the facts – and it is clear why the "faithful" – though I dislike the term – follow their spiritual lords.”
His eyes continue to watch you.
”It is only logical to follow the gods – for they rule. The one who denies their existence is foolish – for the facts are indisputable. The only question when determining a patron deity is which god is best suited for our private taste? We followed – at one time – the one called Lissala – but that proved costly to the flesh, as you well know, as a priestess. We took up the standard of Ydersius – but that course was weaker then it might be – so it seemed best to seek a lord more powerful – so we aligned to Azathoth – for that seemed most wise – as that being is quite powerful – and his artifacts were plentiful – if searched for with wisdom. Yet this, too – proved foolish – we felt. It was the brother of Anaitis who spoke of the one called Anuk-su – he claimed that the patterns in the old places where lore discovered by the followers of Azathoth provided also evidence of the folk of the Silver Serpent. He suggested that if this one walked the earth before us – it was only logical she was the greater – even as Azathoth broke cities – his place was gone. We agreed, then – that worship of a living goddess of modest means was more sensible then worshipping a dead god of great power… So – now she has our allegiance – and we believe she is the optimal candidate for it – even so – lest you worry that we may turn from you if superior opportunity presented itself - say, for example - if another god were to walk the world of your folk before us – do not trouble yourself on that concern."
"You see - to us it would seem quite inappropriate to turn from her ways. We are doubly condemned; by not only our own divinities – but now, also neutral parties of divine power that we have made enemies of. Therefore, to turn finally from this new goddess as well would leave us quite removed from the greater Planes; as we would have sealed our Fate by leaving all doors shut to us. Naturally - as we have no wish for such alienation from the Outer Planes – we shall certainly not depart from our following of her; and through her – our allegiance with you shall be true as well,” he adds with a somewhat sweet tone to his voice.
Skills and powers the enemy may use…
”We posses no skills – nor powers of unique blend – other then the sinews of our flesh merged with the talents we were born with. We are as you see us – modest warriors, priests of some note – and others who possess some mundane skills. Our power is no greater or less then any – yet relative, I should think – for it can only be computed on a scale in which we are best aligned. Are we swordsmen? Of course – yet great? Certainly greater then a newborn child – but there are many that use blades better then we. I do not know how to answer best that question – and our former masters had no use for us whatsoever – only to keep us alive so that we would suffer for disobeying them. I do not blame them for this choice whatsoever, though, for it is a logical decision indeed."
"After all - to keep a traitor alive for torture – why, such a leader would be able to demonstrating a ruthless application of discipline and the exercising of brutal methods of barbaric torture – and our suffering would stand as an tangible warning to any that may be undecided in their path of life. As such – though we would die horribly – I believe our deaths would be useful to our formal lords in that it would show the power that they could wield over those that betrayed them – and such power would likely frighten the wavering hearts of the weak who do not know their path, yet.”
Regarding al-Kazeem
”This is a common name – we do not know who you speak – but I am not overly surprised. We are not highly placed in the rankings of our former lord – it is a wise thing to keep the soldiers who are not officers as uneducated as possible about tactics and stratagem – for if they are captured – well, a person can not be compelled to speak on what they do not know… yes? Therefore – we were told what to do – and to obey. If we had more wisdom – we may have the motive for a change. Education is the path to choices – and a person who can choose is one who can choose – at the least – to walk another path; even as we have shown. Therefore – I am not surprised we were told little – ah – I should add this – many of the names you will hear are… shall we say… aliases – by giving the same name to many, it is very hard to determine who you are referring to – if you don’t already know…” he adds with a blank look, wondering if you have any other questions he can shed light on, glad that his answers are as helpful as they are…
APE-MEN - Chimp & Gorilla
Speaking to a chimp – about plans for their folk.
The Ape’s eyes flash, and he looks you over quickly – recognizing your exploits from Khang. Though he is not Khang – who you have a report with – he seems younger, more headstrong – and more gruff. Hearing your words – he leans forward a bit, sniffing at you intently, nodding.
”I hear you straw hair; she who is called Ry – for myself – I am Rand, son of Tern – and I thank you for your honor,” the chimp says – bowing somewhat before you.
”You saved my folk – and some would go back to our homelands – but I say to you that they are without honor. Khang is my chief – and where he points – there I will put claw and tooth. I honor Khang – for he is wise among our folk – and he speaks well on your kind – how you saved him from the iron boxes. Yet I care little either way on his thoughts in that matter – he is my chief – if he says “Kill” – I kill – if he says “Follow” – I follow, not because I must – but because I choose to. He is chief, I choose to follow him, any who would not follow are without honor – I have my honor, and I follow my chief – there is no more for me then that. Even so – I have seen your power – and hear your words. Would he stay silent on if we should follow you – I think that I would follow you, if he did not prevent me – for you have a good heart, I think; yes, how could it be otherwise?”
”You have freed us and seek no payment – no boon – no word of debt or honor. Simply for good heart – you and your companions – no reward or food was offered – yet you risk your life for us. That speaks well on your heart – and your honor. In that – I am well pleased that Khang says to follow; he is wise – and as he speaks – so I obey – but, as I say – in this matter, I am glad of his choice,” he says with a grin, offering you a slab of bark. On the bark you see a collection of berries and grubs his folk have gathered – he has been picking at it absently – as if it is a snack – you sense his offering is meant to be familiar with you – to share food between friends. Naturally – you are free to do what you wish – but to reject food may be insulting…
What kind of lands do you like?
”Hah! Is it not plain? We like the tall trees – for there we are closest to the sky – and the rain – and feel the sun our face, and the wind in our hair. We climb high – and in the branches make our homes far from the ground where threats may walk. We keep our females and our young in the branches for safety – but we have grown crafty – and learned the art of bending wood to a task. Now we make places to stand upon – and we make coverings to shield us from the rain.”
”Even so – our heart is still in the forests – can it be otherwise? All things came from the great forest they say – and it is like a great tree that all things grow from – we should climb it, and feel it on us… But I say in truth – these lands are cold… I like the warmth of my own trees – even so; if Khang tells us to follow – I shall forgo the warmth – and make fire, for we know that lore well – though we seldom practice it, except in great need,” he adds the last softly – as if he is revealing a secret – but clearly not breaking protocol – as you are obviously a friend of the tribe.
Questions to a Gorilla leader asked by Isani: - summary of strengths, weakness – how they fit in - are best left to this answer.
”Greetings Ry – I am K’tell – son of Dast!” he thuds his heavy paw against his chest.
”The demon-kind are dead – and we are well glad for it. As for their plans? I piss on them – and care little! They are the worst folk – for they take our young and force them to work without freedom – like beasts without will! They hunt us – and we fight them. I killed seven and ten in one battle – and my hands where red with their blood!” he barks out with a brutish shout – even as the others – hearing this boast – echo their sentiment.
”We sons of the Great Father - Children of Simia! He is strong – and we are his kin! We kill what we wish – take what we desire – and destroy all that would bring us death!” he roars again – much to the crowds delight.
”You do not stink of fear – your heart is strong – that is good! You saved us with your strength – and deserve much honor! We shall kill on your asking – but know that we are no slaves! We know honor – we know debt – and we owe you our lives! Know that our folk will follow yours – and when the time comes for battle – we shall taste victory or death! In battle both paths bring no shame, if met with a brave heart - only honor for our kind – and we shall not forget!”

She begins asking Dior a series of questions (in squeaks, squawks, growls, chirps) regarding Anaitis nes-Ma'at hoping to get a clearer picture of what the snake girl is about.

”Awrh! I tell you pride-sister – my nose knows quite a bit – but that’s asking more then I can offer…Awrh! – Still, there’s something strange about them, that’s true!"
"Now - I don’t think they’ll be well liked at home – no ma’am Awrh – because… well; hate to say it – but people judge on looks all the time. Shucks - looks are the first thing people see! Awrh! And - even if we didn’t know much about these folk – well; they look like snakes – and people generally are afraid of snakes! They look scary – and they act scary – and not in a big, evil monster way – but in the kind of way that you have to check your nest before curling up to make sure you don’t get bit Awrh – if you know what I mean, and I think you do!”
”Still – does that make them bad? Well – look at the Tiefling that struts about with us – they’re evil folk, generally – but he’s alright. And what about that half-elf… He’s a good chap – even though he looks mean from time to time - that doesn't make him bad - just scary, with his odd little tail, and his queer little ways... But he's not a bad sort, never mind his looks Awrh!"
"Hmmm... tell you what – well, knowing something of you – I say that we can’t just judge them outright until we see them do something bad – but that doesn’t mean we can’t have at least two eyes and a beak open around them – and keep watch, Awrh!”
”Have they been bad – no. Have they been downright odd – yes indeed! But we can’t lock up folks for being odd – more’s the pity – even so; when we get home – show them all the laws up front. They talked about how logical they are supposed to be, right? Well – if that’s true, then they’ll just have to follow the rules – or they get the consequences. And – first thing on the list – is see how trusty they are – maybe we could test them, Awrh! – see what they do when they corner one of their own – him or us, right? That shady dealer – he’s no good – I’d have him get his wings clipped fast, begging your pardon – but we need to go after him legal-like – well; these folks say they’re helpful – and are our friends – well; let’s see them live up to the bargain and help us get rid of that Kazeem guy – that will probably give us a clue on how trusty they are, Awrh – if that helps at all… Now – I got time maybe for one more question – maybe – but how about a bit of tasty bacon for all this talk! After all, a lad needs to keep his senses sharp – and bacon is the key ingredient in… um… Griffon Dietary… um… anyway – I like it, so – just letting you know Awrh! – and was there anything else?”

So much information was relayed to her and Isani during their rotation from group to group and her head was full and pondering how such diverse creatures, especially the Yuan-ti could settle without some town protest in Saravale. She was not naive to think that folk like Miss Goodwyfe would leave well enough alone and not cause a fuss especially with her instant dislike of the half-orc who was nowhere near as strange or crafty as the Yuan-ti, especially the purebloods.
During her conversation with Grymm, the "top man" of the modern silver kobolds, he asked her a question and she replied, "Nay Grymm, I am not noble born, yet I hold title now in the capital. My parents are commoners and I was raised far away from noble society and I am not ashamed of the fact. A title or lack thereof does not make the person."
Turning to face Isani, Ry's forehead lined with too many thoughts and concerns, she takes her into confidence, her voice low and private, "There are many considerations before we can march all these folk through the doors of Saravale. I feel we must have a council meeting this night -- to consider what can be done and how we shall best accomplish it. I wonder if we should consider other parts of Council land that would be more suitable or practical for these survivors. There is already strife blossoming in the village due to opposing factions. If we place these folk right in the middle of it it may prove our, and their, undoing."

Having listened to Dior and his suggested plan to make the Yuan-ti prove they can be trusted, she responds in griffon speak,
"The Yuan-ti warrior leader, Sseht confirmed that al-Kazeem is most probably an alias, but I have a feeling if they were to see the cultist leader, be close to him, they may recognise him. I wonder if we should keep the Yuan-ti's identity secret until after they enter Saravale and that way we can employ their skill in uncovering what al-Kazeem is about and who he truly is. I do not like lying to our people but I am trying to protect them from forces we have yet to understand. What do you think, Dior?"

"Don't like lying neither - but then - no need to volunteer nothing. If no one asks, why bother? Real trick is the cobra heads - they don't blend worth a darn - look scary - and they ain't natural - by all accounts being from a whole other world. Now - the alias thing - yeah - that makes lots of sense - and the bad kind, too, sad to say; they won't even tell their folk the truth of things... not even their own folk - because they be crafty with mind tricks... but I think of this, if I may - remember that half-dwarf? Didn't he say the boss of these guys was named "Amun" - or something like that - and there were other lads named "Amun" - I think... think that may be a trick name? Maybe it be like... I dunno... rank or title... either way - I hear at least one lad with that name - but I think more then one. What if it means "boss" - or "chief" - or "high priest" - oh and that reminds me - where's my bacon?" he adds, just as the spell fades away...

before clari approaches Shaezon, she has a brien exchange with nobody and then Ka'etil.
Having freed the captives and such Clari notes that Malas'rae has gone mingling among the others. Clari takes some time to herself, privately conversing with Keravel in her mind.
<You seem to have calmed down> she thinks to her blade.
<In the heat of battle, decisions must be made, and you were not strong enough to make any> the blade chides her, excusing it's attempt to take control of her and drive her to attack the fiends that surrounded them.
<Fine. But that Arasmes fellow, you have seen him. Aside from that bazaar creature Caliphana and the elemental spirits, all of the beings that he calls upon are celestial creatures from the upper planes. There must be something good within him if they answer his call.>
<Clearly. Yet a demoness that can charm with that one's prowess is at his beck and call, it seems. And what of her interest in the Mad Beast?>
Clari sits blushing slightly, hand on the hilt of her sword. Shaking ehr head she takes up ehr default foul grimace.
<Quiet you. This isn't about that. These people seem to be cut from a darker cloth, yet do not deal in shades of grey but white. At least that is how they act.>
<you've made your decision Clari. You accept these people. You trust the Mad Beast's oath of vengeance against his vile father, you trust the judgement of that girl who has been chosen as Baroness, you think a Fiend-spawn is Good, and share affection with Half-breeds Selendria's children. You foolish foolish girl, yet here I remain for you, ever at your side, trustworthy and loyal, tol guide you as well as you will let me.>
Suddenly, Keravel asks <What does HE want>
Malas'rae approaches Clari and asks "Will yo get a bow and join the hunt?" IT sounds like a statement, but reads as though the question is really asking, "Are we going to have a problem?"
<He's noticed that i've been looking at him differently ever since I saw him turn into that monster! Why does he want me with him?[/]> she asks Keravel in her mind, starring at the towering half-breed.
<[i]Well, you are SOOO convinced of his decency, and believe those naive friends of a matter of months that he has made, so go ahead, and accept. Perhaps he'll take you back into his arms?> a biting sarcastic voice spits into her head.
Turning to the hilt of her blade she glares, thinking <That's not fair! don't you go->
"Well?" interrupts the General's voice, cutting short her debate.
"Yes, fine. I'll get a bow." she says and turns away to find a weapon. <Well, someone should keep an eye on him, just in case. even YOU can't argue with that>
Her jibe at the hex-blade is met with silence.

Arasmes enjoys the back and forth with the various groups, happy to be talking for a change as opposed to fighting. He pays special attention to the golden skinned Kobolds and the Yuan-ti. The Gold Kobolds interest him in their more esoteric knowledges and origins, while the Yuan-ti for their similarity to his history as a tiefling. He wants to make sure that all of those who seek peace, justice, and equality, get their chance within the boundaries of Praxis. He speaks of these ideals while also preparing those who come for the possibility of mistrust for a time. Extolling the potential future we are trying to build while keeping the present circumstances in mind so as to avoid unpleasant surprises when Saravale is reached. Arasmes gives his word to all groups that he will personally make sure that their voices are heard. As they are not yet citizens of Praxis and are currently groups of foreign refugees he is trying to make sure he is fulfilling his role as Foreign Ambassador.

Good point. In that case:
Shae looks up from his books and says
"Hello, Clari. How are you?"

SHe takes a look at his notes, curious, asks "What'r ya studying there?" Clari does had a keen eye for spellcraft and arcana, though she lacks the eloquent speech of those like Galen.

Ariarh - after quick conference with Isani – you gather that “Amun” is a bastardized version of an Osiriani word meaning “Self-Existent” – also “The Hidden One”. This word is more like a religious title – suggesting a god of gods – in which a form of being is so powerful – and so great – that all gods were sprung from Its essence.
To fix this usage on a mortal suggests that the being is both a leader, and likely, a religious figure – to say nothing of the obvious blasphemy.

Noticing Galen milling about without much purpose for his teacher was deeply immersed in penning spells, Ariarh approaches the boy and speaks to him, "How goes it, Galen? Thank you for tending to the horses while we were on the island." Then gesturing to the various groups and crowds, she asks, "How do you find our new guests? I suppose with such diverse creatures there would be some deep thoughts and possible feelings of unrest ..."
