Rameth the Delver |

Rameth takes a slow sip, savoring the burn.

DMummy |

The spirit seems to quiver at this announcement.
So you're saying that more people might come after you?
As the spirit says this the serene image it presents gets a hungrier look on its face and you get a disconcerting feeling that the spirit's teeth are sharper than they were when it began to speak with you.

Azubah |

"There was a most interesting piece, a sarcophagus, in the house. Others will definitely want to see it if we inform them of it. It is too heavy to move so we would have to bring them here."
Oh fudge!
Azubah starts to wring his fingers as his palms begin to sweat. Quickly, he repeats the incantation to Ill Omen in his mind.

Rameth the Delver |

Rameth puts away his flask and pulls out his holy water.
Look lady. Why not just tell us who you are and why you are still here? We told you what we are doing. We are here liberating artifacts that show your history. If you don't want people here just say so and we will finish our work and leave, and we are happy to tell folks that it is dangerous in here. Whatever.

DMummy |

I told you, I'm the spirit in this house. And you're not telling anyone anything that would spoil my fun!
The sand spirit ripples and the beautiful woman shifts in horrid ways. The hair binds together to become a mass of writhing snakes while her teeth sharpen into fangs made of polished stones.
The terrifying medusa rises on a tide of sand and earth and surges towards you.

Rameth the Delver |

is there a new knowledge check we can make seeing it as it is now?

Dwalindor springs into action at the transformation of the sand woman. He will charge in full rage and swing with his Lucern hammer.
disregard if charge not possible or if Azubah does something that would convince him not to charge etc
"Rrraarrhhhh. What treachery is this!???"

When in Osirion... Rameth says as he whips out his blade and charges after Dwalindor
Sword Cane: 1d20 + 5 - 1 + 2 + 1d6 ⇒ (5) + 5 - 1 + 2 + (5) = 16 for 1d6 + 3 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 3 + 2 = 9
two uses of inspiration to try to hit

Rameth the Delver |

as in DR or as in incorporeal?

"Angel Eyes" Albus |

I suppose "gold" would be a bad answer. Better let Azubah ramble on.
Wow, strait-jacket is actually doing a good job!
Hmmm, I dont like where this is going...
OH %&#@!
Angel Eyes steps forward while drawing his blade, enlarging himself and activating his arcane swordplay abilities.
Move 5 ft forward, cast enlarge person on self and activate arcane pool.

Rameth the Delver |

bah slashing doesn't seem to be effective!

Azubah |

Azubah surprises himself with his reaction and casts a spell to foil the creature's intentions.
Ill Omen Will DC 16

DMummy |

Will Save: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7
The sand monster reacts to Dwalindor's attack by having a fine mist of white sand explode outwards in all directions. As the sand settles over you you feel an overwhelming urge to fall into sleep.
Please roll a Will Save, DC 14

Azubah |

Rameth the Delver |

1d20 + 5 ⇒ (15) + 5 = 20 Will
Rameth starts to fall asleep, but finds he has sand in his eyes and that wakes him up.

Dwalindor uses the rage to fight off slumber...but is...just...not...enough...zzzzzzz

![]() |

keep in mind that Dwalindor has a reach weapon, so was not adjacent to the creature and Rameth...not saying she could not move up. :-)

Rameth the Delver |

Wake them up!
Rameth drops his cane and draws a club.
1d20 + 4 - 1 ⇒ (17) + 4 - 1 = 20 for 1d6 + 3 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 + 3 = 12 blunt

Azubah |

Not able to think of anything else, Azubah swings his morningstar at the sand-woman.

DMummy |

Ha! I didn't see your attack above the response I put to Dwalindor, have been waiting for you all day. Have to edit my post for Azubah then.
Azubah's clubbing manages to shatter the sand monster's form, and an unholy shriek erupts as the monster collapse into loose sand that coats the courtyard.

Rameth the Delver |

Rameth puts away his club then takes out his water skin and pours water on the other two to wake them. Then he searches
1d20 + 8 ⇒ (7) + 8 = 15

DMummy |

Underneath the sands you can find several items of interest.
A suit of Ulfen-styled scale mail lies preserved next a small crossbow with a collection of bolts - 5 of the arrow heads appear to be iron, 10 steel.
A holy symbol of Serenrae worked in gold also lays underneath the sand amidst a collection of gold and platinum coins (3pp and 37gp).

Rameth the Delver |

well sleepy where shall we head to?
Actually dm Rameth will also go check that other room
1d20 + 8 ⇒ (18) + 8 = 26

![]() |

"Huh? What? Me sleepin? Nah - I just figured you guys could handle it. I was just waiting...yeah"
Dwalindor stands up dusts himself off and picks up his hammer to follow after Rameth.

DMummy |

The kitchen holds no terrors, for the skeleton is not animated.
Whomever killed the person there stuck the dagger in between the ribs of the victim hard enough to score boen, and the dagger itself is pitted and rusted from exposure to the elements.
Just as reminder you have the east courtyard and outbuildings and the southeast corner of the first floor and the second floor left to review.

![]() |

Dwalindor will walk the perimeter of the kitchen looking for stonework.
t10 for 16 or 18 vs stone .
If nothing found, he will move to the SouthEast corner of the first floor.
"bah, nothin here. Let's move on.. . "

DMummy |

Dwalindor:
You don't find anything significant in the kitchen stonework or otherwise.
As Dwalindor marches through the rooms to the south, he passes through several more sections.
The first room he encounters has heiroglyphs and images of fantastic beings covering the walls of the small space. A stone shrine, dusty and thoroughly defaced stands against the eastern wall.
You can roll Linguisitics for Ancient Osiriani or Knowledge (religion) DC 10 to determine which gods were honored in the desecrated shrine.
Next, he walks through a tiny room that has a stone table with basin stands against one side a small stone privy. Shattered glass from a mirror that hung above the basins litters the floor with dead scarabs, but the most disturbing thing is a headless skeleton propped to sit on the privy itself.
Azubah:
Finally in the last room large tiled pool sits in the center of this chamber, surrounded by sloping tiled floors. A few steps descend into the basin, which has accumulated a deep layer of sand on its bottom.
Faded murals on the walls depict scenes of life along a river, with recurring themes of running water and aquatic life running through the artwork. In the northeast corner, a tarnished bronze spigot with two knobs juts from the wall just above head level. Archways lead north and west, and a stone door stands in the eastern wall.

Azubah |

Knowledge (religion) for the hieroglyphs
1d20 + 6 ⇒ (15) + 6 = 21
"Hmm, oh yes; Tutankhamen's revenge... Poor devil."

DMummy |

Ah, that's funny. Not quite Golarian-specific but funny nonetheless.
Azubah, you can't quite determine what's wrong with the skeleton but there's something different about it compared to the others you've found in the house.
The hieroglyphs show that the house's shrine venerated Abadar, Pharasma and Sarenrae, with Abadar given both pride of place and the greatest concentration of vandalism in the shrine.

Rameth the Delver |

Rameth follows along having spaced out for a bit.
we searched the room straight north of where I am on the map right? that was the kitchen?
Fully expecting the skeleton to rise Rameth leads the way into the room with his club drawn.

DMummy |

Yes indeed. As a note the SE corner has no skeleton, only the privy which has a headless skeleton sitting on the privy itself.
Once you search privy, shrine and bath the only other room on the ground floor of the house itself is one directly to the east of the bath; the only other remaining areas are the second floor of the house and then the eastern courtyard you have not explored.
