"Angel Eyes" Albus |

Whoops, I forgot that the map has grind numbers. What I meant was for Albus to step from I13 to H12. He would pass through Dwalindor's square H13 but since its friendly I though it was alright. I know there is a corner there but does that represent a problem?
These flying skulls remind me of Mortimer "Morte" Rictusgrin from Planescape Tormernt. Man, that was a fun game...

Rameth the Delver |

Sword Cane: 1d20 + 5 - 1 ⇒ (17) + 5 - 1 = 21 for 1d6 + 3 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 3 + 2 = 6
Rameth swings his cane again

Rameth the Delver |

oops. sorry the one next to Azubah

Azubah |

Azubah steps forward G14 and strikes ineffectively at the last of the skulls.
Attack
1d20 + 1 ⇒ (10) + 1 = 11
Damage
1d8 ⇒ 6
No need to that, is there?

"Angel Eyes" Albus |

Albus: Ah, I didn't think that's where you wanted to move since that would put you in a threatened square for AoO, sorry!
But Albus would be moving only 5 ft in diagonal, that would not provoke. No?
Who's turn is it btw?

Hmmm, I was thinking of Spellstrike as casting a spell (provokes AoO), but re-reading the entry it looks like it should be treated as a melee attack for AoO purposes.
It should be Dwalindor's turn.

sorry, another long day at work.
Dwalindor steps and swings at another skull.
hammer : 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (20) + 5 = 25 for Dmg : 1d12 + 4 ⇒ (12) + 4 = 16
if criting matters feel free to roll. I suspect this is enough.

Rameth the Delver |

1d20 + 8 ⇒ (1) + 8 = 9
Rameth does a search of the room
dont have the guide yet, but I will look at the archetypes asap, and if I want to swap we can explain it with the mind fire

Rameth the Delver |

Are the chalices and platters something that is loot?

![]() |

"Lets pack up these here fancy trays and move out.. . "

Rameth the Delver |

Rameth tosses them in his bag
got the pdf not sure if i will swap archetypes or not

DMummy |

I understand; I happen to think they're all really cool (a Mastermind with high Int could make a truly epic long-range villain) because I can see the type of detective they were aiming for in each one but they do all have a very different flavor than the "vanilla" detective.

Rameth the Delver |

Rameth leads then to the other room on the floor
1d20 + 8 ⇒ (11) + 8 = 19 checking for traps
I still need to update to my new archetype but that should not change anything right now

Rameth the Delver |

Oh I thought Azubah was standing in front of a wall! I meant the one opposite the stairs. But in that case the room behind Azubah!

DMummy |

This room is empty of everything but a plain stone table; sand and dust laying in thick coats on the walls and floor - perhaps this was a servant's dining room at one time?
An opening leads south and another smaller one east. I'm away from my computer with Maptools so I can't update the map yet, let me know if you want to proceed east and make a circuit or to the south.

Rameth the Delver |

1d20 + 8 ⇒ (4) + 8 = 12 a quick search around the room, then Rameth heads east

DMummy |

As you head east you come to the northeast corner of the ground floor, where a broad entrance frames a large room.
Two stone tables sit against the western wall of this room, while a third occupies the southeastern corner. A small, square wooden butcher’s block stands in the northeast corner, now almost collapsing under its own weight. A stone oven sits in the middle of the north wall. A humanoid skeleton lies beneath the northwestern table, surrounded by smashed crockery. A door to the east and an open doorway to the south exit the room.
Back away from Maptools, so last map update before this afternoon.

Rameth the Delver |

the room to the south of Azubah is where the sand is?
letting the others have a chance to post

![]() |

Dwalindor will move along with Rameth. If any odd stonework is noticed in passing, he will point it out to the others.

Azubah |

"Sir Howard, could you keep alert for any threats that appear to be catching us unaware?"
Snapping to attention from his incorporeal conversation, Azubah readies himself to follow the others.

Sir Howard |

Alert? Well I suppose I could try. How should I signal your attention in a way that doesn't alert the threats as well? Perhaps we should agree on a signal!
He waves his ghostly hands above his head in a blur; no longer limited by a body his arms pass through his head.
Oh dear, that was most unpleasant.

Azubah |

"I thought that no one else could hear or see you. If that is still the case, then just a shout should suffice."

![]() |

" What? Azubah, yer talkin ta yerself again, man. "
The dwarf shakes his head and keeps moving.

Azubah |

"It's Sir Howard....uh, never mind."

Rameth the Delver |

Rameth heads back towards the room with the sand sound
Note that we still need to search the room Rameth is in
Then he leads the way into the sand room

DMummy |

A tiled walkway surrounds a square patch of earth and sand in this high atrium. A balcony on the second floor overlooks the courtyard, and a square hole in the ceiling opens to the sky.
Four columns in the corners of the atrium support the roof above, and the walls are decorated with symbols and hieroglyphs depicting animals, celestial creatures, and the sun and moon. Centuries without water or maintenance have transformed the once-vibrant garden into a miniature desert devoid of plant life.
When you step foot in the courtyard the earth and sand coalesces into the form of a beautiful statue of an Osiriani woman.
Greetings noble guests. I am Heshsharu, the spirit of this house. I welcome you to the House of Pentheru.
Please roll one of the following Knowledge skills if you have it: Religion, Arcana, Nobility. DC 20

Rameth the Delver |

1d20 + 7 + 1d6 ⇒ (5) + 7 + (6) = 18 religoin
Thank you. I am Rameth

Azubah |

Knowledge(religion) 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (9) + 6 = 15

DMummy |

Whelp so much for that.
Greetings Rameth and Azubah, as well as your companions. It is good to see new faces here in the House, it has been many years since someone came by. As spirit of the house it was my duty to assist guests in any way.
Tell me, what brings you to this humble abode?

![]() |

Dwalindor nods slightly at the appearance of the woman. With a suspicious eye, he holds his tongue and battle hammer for the moment.

Azubah |

Something tells Azubah that "Looting the place" would be a bad answer to give. In deference to his limited social skills, he waits for Rameth to use his charms on the sandy woman.

Azubah |

"Well, we met a ...uh...spirit, named Sir Howard. He had been chained here but now seems to be free. My companions cannot see him but I can. Do you see him?"

Rameth the Delver |

Rameth groans, but lets Azubha talk his nonsense. He pulls his flask out and takes a hit, while he leans on his cane.

Azubah |

Seeing that Rameth has no intention of rescuing him, Azubah continues. "Oh, Sir Howard was constrained to the outer courtyard. He has not seen the inside of the complex itself."
"Much has changed in the world since you had living inhabitants here. The clergy of Pharasma have opened the necropolis, for that is what this area is now called, to investigators and, what is the word?, curators."
"We will bring artifacts to the outside and reintroduce them to Orisani society at large. This way the history of the people who lived at the time of the great plague will not be forgotten."
