| Thorrpe's Shadow |
That was so good I am tempted to grant you a favor myself!
Dwalindor the Pahmet
|
Take it easy over there, Shad. One favor is enough for today.
Dwalindor grins at his shady comrade.
| DMummy |
Muminofrah's face clouds over with rage at the mention of Dwalindor leaving her again so soon.
That damned library again! I took you for a man of action but you prefer dry, cold books to warm company! Tell me why I shouldn't have you whipped and thrown from the city!
Roll Bluff or Diplomacy Dwalindor.
| Noonan3 |
Noonan pats Dwal on the shoulders Touch of Glory +7 Charisma checks for 1 hour or until used Dwal, we really need to work on your sensitivity here. This fine lady needs your full attention after all the love she has showered upon you. Surely we can take a break from some musty library.
Make your roll then I will decide to aid. I don't want to roll a 20 and then you get a 1
Dwalindor the Pahmet
|
Dwalindor carefully studies her face to gain insight into her rage...which he oddly finds very alluring...before blurting out a reply.
Sense Motive : 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8 is she serious?.
"Why? Why should you not have me whipped and ejected from he city ?
Well because at this point I would probably enjoy it more than facing another day in that dusty library. But I am not that lucky..."
Diplomacy or bluff : 1d20 - 2 ⇒ (18) - 2 = 16
With her rage he probably finds it hard to believe she isn't acting. But feel free to use the second roll if you like. He has had enough lol.
| Thorrpe's Shadow |
1d20 ⇒ 10 aid
have no fear lady, Dwalindor talked about you so much in the library
| DMummy |
She is very serious Dwalindor - she's been quite annoyed with your absence for the last three days.
With the three of you desperately trying to placate her you barely manage to coax her back to her cushions.
She pouts with her arms crossed like a little girl on her cusihons.
Dwally, how could you?! Going back to a library filled with scrolls instead of me. Do I mean so little to you? We should be spending all our time together, there's surely no good reason to be down there with your companions...
Dwalindor the Pahmet
|
My dear lady. You do not know how very much it pains me to be down there in the dusty library. It is so mind-numbingly boring as compared to the time spent with you. But sadly, I must go, as it is the only way to get our friend back.
No lying here...he is serious
But we will return soon enough. And this time with better news.
Then we should all go out for a awesome party and maybe a road trip to some other place...you know, just you, me...and the guys. To get away from it all for awhile
| Noonan3 |
Noonan pokes Dwal with his elbow. I believe we can handle what remain in the library ourselves. How about you entertain our lovely host with a lovely dinner where she is serenaded by a bard. Just the two of you(for the most part) floating down the river under the stars.
| DMummy |
Yes. Split the party! Doooo it.
Hmmph. Well, I suppose if it's as dreadful for you as for me...I will consider giving you a few more days. Perhaps the local nobility will put on a show.
Now that the sun is going down it's time for me to take my milk bath. At the least the tub will be spacious.
She leers at Dwalindor.
I'll give you three more days in the library but no more. After that you must return to me before I have to depart this dusty backwater village.
Dwalindor the Pahmet
|
She what I mean? They do not want me down there, but I know they will only end up in some worse trouble than we already are. I will be back...just you see!
Not splitting the party and letting you guys have all the fun! LOL
| Thorrpe's Shadow |
Dwalibdor was saying that if you gave us another few days he would plant the biggest kiss ever on you! We are all waiting!
| Noonan3 |
Well Noonan will have to rest and pray for a Speak with Dead spell if we want to talk to the corpse.
Noonan uses his abilities to make sure everyone is healed and then will retire for the night.I will need to rest and reprepare my miracles so we can question the spirit
| Tariq Ibn-Ziyad |
"Let's rest, but there is no way we should go down there without the dwarf. None of those battles would have gone the way they did without him."
Dwalindor the Pahmet
|
Yeah Tariq has it right! the dwarf nods in violent agreement.
Dwalindor the Pahmet
|
Dwalindor grabs a stout ale as soon as he can find one, intentionally guzzling and letting some cleanse his beard of any taint of milk or lavender.
"Blecchhhh. Let's get this over with ."
| Noonan3 |
trolololol
Noonan gets extra ale and brandy for Dwal. Mybe some Pesh and FLayleaf as well
I have a miracle prepared to question the spirit of the dead man, we must decide what we want to ask. If we ask the wrong questions, we must wait for another time to ask. If that happens, we'll have to smuggle out the corpse.
| Thorrpe's Shadow |
So...Dwalindor...good night? or best night ever?
Dwalindor the Pahmet
|
Don't ASK! the dwarf grumbles and marches past Shad in a foul mood.
| Tariq Ibn-Ziyad |
"Well he is with us and in one piece. Thank you for your sacrifice for our cause, now let's see what we can uncover."
Tariq rubs his palms together in anticipation.
| Thorrpe's Shadow |
So best night ever. Shad grins and laughs then races to catch Dwalindor
Dwalindor the Pahmet
|
So do we go back to the same place, or did we finish up that wing? I was not impressed with the caretaker down there.
Dwalindor hopes for a new location.
| Thorrpe's Shadow |
we should probably go raise the body first
| Thorrpe's Shadow |
sounds like a plan
| DMummy |
The corpse stirs and a ghostly spirit, the outline of a man's flesh stretched over a skeleton appears from the bandaged face of the mummy.
Grrrrrraaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhh
I was an architect.
I died and was buried.
Before I answer question 3, are you sure you want to ask the corpse about "The Forgotten Pharaoh" in those words?
Dwalindor the Pahmet
|
Probably wasn't forgotten when this guy died. Maybe something like 'What do you know about the Sky Pharaoh and his mask?
| Thorrpe's Shadow |
Shadowy Thumbs up!
Dwalindor the Pahmet
|
Well, Noonan....what did you expect from a dead guy? You want someone more chatty, I know just the plump person to talk yer dang ears off.
Dwalindor is still nursing a foul mood, but takes some solice in others suffering along with him.
Lets get to that library. I think we are all on edge and need some time out in the wilds
Dwalindor the Pahmet
|
Lol - you guys are cruel!
Dwalindor has no love of libraries (or their voluminous benefactor) but he does love gold...so if skipping the library means losing treasure, he can endure the pain once more.
| Thorrpe's Shadow |
That will work for me...but I will miss the love scenes of dwalindor
