Padrym, I was thinking Nar and Padrym could be kin or long time friends with the Angradd connection. One could be part of the reason for the other to be on the mission as well.

Hey VOV/all any advice for favored enemies? I have never played a Ranger before so this is new territory. I have undead currently but is there is a better option.....?
It's a bit difficult to say without the full AP, but I'd think that Humanoid (Elf) would come up a fair bit. Aberrations might also fit.
I can say that Undead isn't a good choice for the first book.
Dem dark elves are usually known for summoning some nasty things at higher levels too.

1)Status of drow? Known active foes/known to exist but very very rare/ rumors/ legends?
2)status of firearms. Dwarf with a shotgun is a trope for a reason.
Drow are known to exist - but not yet explicitly known to oppose you.
Firearms are Golarion standard - so not very widespread and only the basics.
Re#1)So Humanoid (elf) would mean surface elves. Hmmmm does not fit the background for a deepwalking tomb-breaker.
Aberration will fit though.
Re#2) So if I were to go the trophy hunter route and take gunfighter for my fighting style would I spend the entire AP looking for ammo?
Not sure - you'd probably want to look into making your own at some point.
Never mind on guns, The I doubt we will have access to the 4grand it takes to buy a gun at 2nd level when the firearms style kicks in also I would need the EWP.

Oi vey - teething toddler, so no update tonight.
My sympathies. Babies are cute, true, but I don't miss those days at all.
We just had a toddler staying over for a few days. It is amazing how many ways one youngling can find to try to kill themselves in an average house over a normal day.

I have some bad news.
As you have no doubt noticed I have not been keeping up with the posting part of this play by post. My workplace has tightened up on 'personal' use of the net so I am really only able to post on weekends/evenings and that has simply not been happening.
I am afraid I need to exit this game. I am very sorry, you are all excellent players and Mark is one of the best gm's I have had the pleasure to play under.
I hope this will not cause too much disruption and I will follow your exploits with great enthusiasm.

Went to see the second Hobbit movie tonight as we had a rare opportunity to get a babysitter in... I immediately regret it and will update tomorrow to spare the bile from my opinion of the movie tainting the thread.
I've seen it too and while I don't regret it, I'm going to assume we probably have the same gripes about it.

Smaug was fantastic to look at, great to hear - but an absolute idiot when it came to trying to kill the dwarves.

Oof - the more I read the AP chapter - the more I'm sure I've missed something entirely. The split focus of Dwarf vs Drow adventure means that alot of information is doubled up with some changes between the two... and rather than being completely separate - it's presented intermixed and mingled. I'm going to struggle on, but I apologize for any time that I need to post corrections or clarifications on things I might've mangled explaining.
Let us know if you need to retcon anything.
FYI - Just riding out a busy time at work and with visitors at home - so I'll get a post in when I can.

Finally emerging from the haze of busyness that's suffused me over the last week. Have had parents visiting (they fly out tomorrow) and work hit a conflux of activity (culminating in a four hour meeting on Friday afternoon that resulted in a forty page program for me to write over the weekend - and am currently 85% through).
Should return to normal service this week with my apologies and thanks for your relative patience. So I shall have the next in game post up within 24 hours.
