Torsten Bock
Amazed at the size of the monstrous vermin, Torsten curses for a moment before stepping forward and conjuring a spear from just outside its reach.
splintered spear, semi-squeezed, 1 range incr.: 1d20 + 5 - 2 - 2 ⇒ (15) + 5 - 2 - 2 = 16

Strauch advances cautiously to deliver his own attack. Total AC 21 including mage armor and fighting defensively. Not attempting acrobatics to avoid AoO though.

DM Talomyr - Kingmaker
Torsten hurls his spear, penetrating the carapace of the giant centipede.
Meanwhile, stubborn as ever, Strauch charges in. The goat is very fortunate to avoid a bite as he moves in, but fails to make contact with the centipede as well.
AoO on Strauch: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (5) + 6 = 11
Damage: 2d6 + 9 ⇒ (1, 2) + 9 = 12 + Poison
The rest of the party is up.
Tove Hellstrom
Tove quickly looses her arrow at the back of the retreating mite leader, but in her hurry she misses, and nearly ends up a meal for the giant beast that emerges from the crevasse moments later.
Readied Longbow Attack (PBS, Semi-Squeezed): 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4
Damage: 1d8 ⇒ 3
Taking the opportunity to back away from the creature as Torsten attacks, the priestess draws another arrow and attempts to combat this new foe.
Longbow vs Centipede (PBS, Semi-Squeezed, into melee): 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (11) - 1 = 10
Damage: 1d8 ⇒ 7
Razarak Medvyed
Raz will cast a jolt at the creature, not wanting to run into the melee and hinder his party members actions more,
attack, jolt, range touch attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (14) + 3 = 17

Now that there is a huge threat available to target, Garret wastes no time in doing so.

Ivo blasts bits of the centipede's shell off and Raz connects with a bolt of electricity, while Garet sinks an arrow into the beast, but yet the creature still hisses and writhes.
The giant vermin whips its tail at Strauch and then quickly bites at the goat as well, but fails to make contact.

Torsten Bock
Torsten pulls out a rope and enchants it, ready to make use of it in a moment. "Be strong, hold many-legs there Strauch," he asks his distinctly worried familiar.
Getting out a rope and casting animate rope on it; Strauch continues to attack defensively.

Tove stands stunned by the creature's horrific form. As it twists its body about, she tries to anticipate the movement and take another shot with her longbow, but she finds the writhing vermin too unpredictable and misses again.
Longbow vs Centipede (PBS, Semi-Squeezed, into melee): 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (4) - 1 = 3

"Man, I am really getting sick of giant vermin. Couldn't these mite cultivate something a bit more warm and fuzzy?"
Targeting the giant centipede. Bow Shot 1

Surprisingly, Strauch lands a blow against the giant vermin, while arrows fly in the general direction of the beast - one of Garet's finds its mark.
Ivo and Raz are up.
Ivo Crownwheel
Pepperbox touch attack, point-blank: 1d20 + 7 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 7 + 1 = 15
Pepperbox damage, point-blank: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7
BOOM goes the gun again, as Ivo clicks forward the barrel and fires once more at the huge beast.
"I'm pretty sick of 'em too," he says. "Just keep hitting it until it stops squirming!"
Razarak Medvyed
Raz will start chanting and as he completes his words his fist begins to crackle in the tell tale zap of electricity, he will also move to right outside the creatures range (to prevent aoo) to attack the next opportunity.
casts shocking grasp And moves forward
DM Talomyr - Kingmaker
Ivo blasts another hole in the the creature as Raz carefully moves forward with an electrified hand.
Badly wounded, the centipede lashes out at poor Strauch again. The creature's tail whips well wide of the goat, but the bite lands true and viciously, nearly cutting poor Strauch in half.
After taking DR into account, Strauch takes 21 damage (dropping him to -9). To add insult to significant injury. He needs to make a DC 14 Fort Save or take 1d4 ⇒ 4 Dex damage as well.
Tail Whip: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 1 = 8

Extra Damage: 2d6 + 9 ⇒ (1, 1) + 9 = 11
The party is up.
DM Talomyr - Kingmaker
With yet another blast of Ivo's pistol, the massive centipede slumps to the ground, burying poor Strauch under its carcass.
We'll stay in rounds as Strauch can still be saved and there is still the matter of the few remaining mites and their kobold captive.
Torsten Bock
Unfortunately the DR from Spirit's Gift expired some time ago as we left and reentered. I hadn't planned to come back... The crit takes Strauch to -14 which is instantly dead given his Con of 12.
"Nooo, Strauch, fur-clad friend!" Torsten cries out as he crosses the cavern to his familiar's side. Seeing the goat bleed with the slow motion of death rather than the quick pumping of a living beast he looks up, sees two mites and casts the rope he enchanted at one of them. "You shall not run, one must pay for Strauch's blood!"
ranged touch, semi-squeezed, 1 range incr.: 1d20 + 3 - 2 - 2 ⇒ (16) + 3 - 2 - 2 = 15
Garethane Seregon
"Damn."
If there are mites still about, there are targets for Garret's arrows. He moves up to bring them into point blank range.
Shot at R1 MW Longbow (Point Blank and Semi-Squeezed): 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (8) + 7 = 15
Damage: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8
DM Talomyr - Kingmaker
Grief-stricken, Torsten hurls his enchanted rope in the direction of the mite leader - wrapping up the shocked mite with coils of rope entangled.
Meanwhile Garethane steps forward and sinks an arrow into one of mites below, killing it instantly.
Raz and Tove are up.
Tove Hellstrom
Tove moves up beside Strauch, initially hoping to channel energy to the wizard's companion. Upon seeing that the beast is beyond her help, she simply rests a hand on its head and says a short prayer.
Razarak Medvyed
Raz will move to the entangled mite and attempt to land a devastating blow on the entangled mite leader,
attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (18) + 3 = 21
damage: 2d6 + 4 ⇒ (6, 3) + 4 = 13
if the mite is carrying a metal weapon or armor, +3 to hit, but I think 21 on an entangled opponent should do the trick...
And manages to land a solid, shocking punch.
DM Talomyr - Kingmaker
While Tove comforts Torsten by saying a short prayer for his fallen companion, Razarak recklessly leaps down into the crevasse - landing fist first on the head of the entangled mite leader. The kobold prison shouts in glee, seeing the demise of his tormentor.
The lone remaining mite gives up any hope of maintaining his prisoner and begins to scurry up the opposite side of the crevasse.
The party is up.
Garethane Seregon
No need for that mite to get away and bring reinforcements...
Bow Shot 1
MW Longbow (Point Blank, Rapid Shot, and Semi-Squeezed): 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (10) + 5 = 15
Damage: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4
Bow Shot 2
MW Longbow (Point Blank, Rapid Shot, and Semi-Squeezed): 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (15) + 5 = 20
Damage: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9
DM Talomyr - Kingmaker
Two shots from Garethane's bow later, the remaining mite is dead and stapled to side of the crevasse.
Combat Over. There is a badly injured, but pleased kobold in the bottom of the crevasse with Raz. Roleplay encounter from here.
The kobold, obviously in pain calls out, "Спасибо! Спасибо! Все эти мерзкие клещи заслуживали смерти!"
Garethane Seregon
Garret doesn't speak Draconic, but figures the Kobold will understand someone trying to help. He puts away his bow and attempts to assist the kobold out of the crevasse. Shifting Feral Focus to Strength to climb down.
Climb: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (13) + 8 = 21
Torsten Bock
"Сделали они или нет, их зверь убил моего He scowls to cover his expression as he wraps the goat's body in his cloak. "Есть ли что-нибудь в этой темной дыре, которую ты можешь видеть?"
DM Talomyr - Kingmaker
"Нет, ничего кроме твоего друга, который прыгнул сюда." the kobold says, slowly making his way out of the crevasse with Garethane's help.
Razarak Medvyed
perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (16) + 6 = 22
Raz will take a look around the crevasse and see if he can see anything.
DM Talomyr - Kingmaker
Raz finds nothing of use down in the bottom of the crevasse, only bits of bone left over from whatever the centipede had been fed in the past.
Garethane is able to reclaim five of his arrows, the remainder of the arrows are broken beyond repair or sunk too deeply in the body of a mite. A few mundane daggers and a total of 24 gold pieces are found on the bodies.
Tove Hellstrom
As Garethane delivers the kobold to her, Tove takes the tortured creature's hands in hers and calls down Erastil's healing grace.
Channel Energy: 2d6 ⇒ (3, 6) = 9
"I should hope so," she answers Ivo. "Enough with these dank tunnels, the sooner we stand back under stars the better."
DM Talomyr - Kingmaker
You all file out of the tunnels under the Old Sycamore with former kobold captive in tow.
Where to? Back to the Sootscales I would assume.
DM Talomyr - Kingmaker
Exiting the tunnels under the Old Sycamore, Chirkri and Nakra, the two kobolds who journeyed with you and watched your mounts while you were below, are happy to see you emerge, but even more so when they see their friend. You find out that his name is Mikmek and prior to his capture, he was a hunting scout for the tribe.
You head out for the Sootscale caverns, knowing full and well that it will be a bit past nightfall when you arrive.
The now former captive kobold seems to be pleased to be free of the mites and sticks close to his friends and Tove for the journey, gradually warming to the rest of you - save Ivo - along the way.
"Клещи уничтожены! Наши новые друзья вернули нам старую Байкрон!" Mikmek, Chirkri, and Nakra call out as you approach the cave mouth.
Shortly after the kobolds call out to their kin, Chief Sootscale emerges. Shortly after, the purple scaled, Tartuk emerges with four of his followers.
Angrily, Tartuk yells, "Они отделали старый Байкрон с их мягкими, бесмасштабными пальцами. Они должны быть принесены в жертву в надежде на прощение!"
Following Tartuk's statement a sour expression crosses the face of Chief Sootscale. "No! The long-legs have done as promised, they will not be harmed. Tartuk your madness has gone on too long, too many have been sacrificed to your whims, your time ends now!"
The Chief's hopes appear to be for naught, as the four kobold that arrived with Tartuk ready their barbed spears to protect the shaman.
What do you wish to do? If this is going to be a fight, I won't bother with a map for this one. The two sides (You/3 kobold companions and Tartuk + minions are 20 feet apart. Chief Sootscale is 15 feet from you and 10 feet away from Tartuk.)
Garethane Seregon
Not fully understanding the situation but sensing where the danger is coming from, Garret will pull his bow and ready a shot to disrupt spellcasting should the the grouchy purple guy decide to throw down.
Tove Hellstrom
Tove also draws her bow and readies an arrow to take down the next Kobold who acts to escalate the situation.
"Torsten, what's happening?"
Tove Hellstrom
Tove doesn't need a translator to understand Ivo's pepperbox. She pulls back quickly and lets her arrow loose. Target is the shaman if it's still standing, otherwise the most senior looking lackey.
Longbow Attack, point-blank range: 1d20 + 4 + 1 ⇒ (15) + 4 + 1 = 20
Longbow Damage, point-blank range: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9
DM Talomyr - Kingmaker
Ivo starts the fight by blasting Tartuk with his pistol, Tove follows suit by sinking an arrow into the shaman.
The party's three kobold companions stare in shock of the whole situation.
Garet readied to shoot if Tartuk is casting. Raz and Torsten are up
Torsten Bock
"Мы пожертвовали достаточно!" shouts Torsten angrily. A conjured spear follows the arrow and bullet as he moves to shield the chief of the Sootscales. It flies with considerable force in his anger but isn't quite targeted well enough to strike vital organs.
Same targeting as Tove plans.
attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (20) + 5 = 25
damage: 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 12 + 1 bleed
confirm crit: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (5) + 5 = 10
extra damage: 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8
Due to the 24 hour duration of Share Language, Tove still speaks and understands Draconic.
DM Talomyr - Kingmaker
The shaman staggers, attempting to retaliate when Torsten's spear impales the purple-scaled kobold, ending his life.
The four kobolds who had accompanied Tartuk drop their spears, raise their hands in the air, and begin pleading with Chief Sootscale following the rapid dispatching of their patron.
Chief Sootscale seemingly ignore their pleas for the time being and walks over to you, asking for Old Sharptooth.
