Bite vs Agon AC14: 1d20 + 6 - 1 ⇒ (14) + 6 - 1 = 19 for 1d4 + 3 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 + 3 = 8

Giovanni, seeing a melee with little opportunity to join, delays.

Once again, the shadowy hound snaps out at Agon, once again sinking its fangs into his flesh (8 damage).

The ranger drops to the ground (14 damage taken, -3hp), but any risk of death is quickly resolves as Kildrek's healing washes over him a second later (up 5hp from the channel to +2hp).

I see what confused me. The first time you listed Round 2 you had me listed at Initiative 6 and the hound was not there, so I used Guidance. Then, in the post that the hound attacked and hit, it was listed at Init 6 and then I was at 5. If I didn't go until after the hound I would have foregone the Guidance and cast that heal then, not waited.

In any case it would have been easy to catch at a table playing real time, not so much with all the posts of a PbP. No worries.

This room, both in the Material and the Shadow Plane appears to be used for little more than storage. You can tell the Blakros side holds cleaning supplies, old or damaged exhibits, and other miscellany.

The Shadow side holds little more than the shadow mastiff, its tethering chain and an old sad bowl with a partially chewed bone.

That wraps up this side. Where to next back from the main hall?

Giovanni gives a sigh of relief when the hound falls.

"That was embarrassing!"

When the time is right, he moves on to the door to the west.

Position updated on the map.

I imagine someone uses a wand charge on Agon vs letting him continue on as 2hp. So if someone's good with lending the wand charge, go ahead and roll that next post.

Giovanni seeks to save some face after fleeing the last fight by striding across the hall and opening the next door. Everyone else hastens to catch up and provide him assistance in case there are more hostile shadow-men waiting within.

Dozens of mannequins dominate this room, each decorated in the trappings of distant Tian Xia. Ceremonial armor of samurai from Minkai and the silk gowns of courtly ladies catch the eye, but the delicate tea sets in long glass display cases seems out of place next to the strange shadowy figures leaning against the fan-decorated walls. Humanoid bodies encased in ice stand scattered throughout the room, and a glaze of dark rime covers the floor.

Frosty Floor - all can read:

The floor of the cold storage room is covered in frost, and is dangerously slippery. The PCs can move at full speed with a DC 5 Acrobatics check, or at half speed with no skill check. Any PC who fails this Acrobatics check cannot move that round. Any PC who fails the Acrobatics check by 5 or more falls prone.

Round 1 Range into Melee
Naz runs into the room and tosses a tanglefoot bag at the metal snake ... Range Touch: 1d20 + 3 - 4 ⇒ (14) + 3 - 4 = 13

Tanglefoot bag:

A tanglefoot bag is a small sack filled with tar, resin, and other sticky substances. When you throw a tanglefoot bag at a creature (as a ranged touch attack with a range increment of 10 feet), the bag comes apart and goo bursts out, entangling the target and then becoming tough and resilient upon exposure to air. An entangled creature takes a –2 penalty on attack rolls and a –4 penalty to Dexterity and must make a DC 15 Reflex save or be glued to the floor, unable to move. Even on a successful save, it can move only at half speed. Huge or larger creatures are unaffected by a tanglefoot bag. A flying creature is not stuck to the floor, but it must make a DC 15 Reflex save or be unable to fly (assuming it uses its wings to fly) and fall to the ground. A tanglefoot bag does not function underwater.

A creature that is glued to the floor (or unable to fly) can break free by making a DC 17 Strength check or by dealing 15 points of damage to the goo with a slashing weapon. A creature trying to scrape goo off itself, or another creature assisting, does not need to make an attack roll; hitting the goo is automatic, after which the creature that hit makes a damage roll to see how much of the goo was scraped off. Once free, the creature can move (including flying) at half speed. If the entangled creature attempts to cast a spell, it must make a concentration check with a DC of 15 + the spell's level or be unable to cast the spell. The goo becomes brittle and fragile after 2d4 rounds, cracking apart and losing its effectiveness. An application of universal solvent to a stuck creature dissolves the alchemical goo immediately.

With the room's guardian dispatched, you are able to cautiously enter the room while navigating the slippery ice.

While examining the frozen human forms in this cold storage room, you find a grisly display of partially dissected humanoids and half-completed biological experiments from the Material Plane.

Each specimen is frozen in several inches of hard ice. Many have a rictus of pain and fear solidified on their cold, blue faces, and all of them have an identical black rune branded onto their foreheads.

Continuing to search among the Tien relics here, you discover a handful of items in usable condition - a suit of masterwork parade armor in the samurai style, an orc double axe with blades shaped like strange dragons’ heads, and a masterwork composite shortbow used by the mounted archers of the eastern steppes.

Additionally, a white wooden stick, some sort of wand, hangs on a hook here. Nemrok is able to recognize it as also radiating a magic aura.

With the current room secure, the group forms up at the door at the far end and Giovanni opens it (presuming Giovanni since he has good HP and armor).

A few desks, three locked chests, and a locked standing cabinet are here along a wall facing the West Exhibit Hall made of smoky glass. Fading in and out of vision, the shadowy form of a slablike table holding an unconscious, vivisected human man, his chest rising slowly with each breath, is superimposed over the southernmost desk. Medical implements and alchemical devices are spread across nearly every surface, some more substantial in form than others.
