Ok, so that was not the entire post. A lengthier thread will go up tomorrow once you are inside. I really enjoyed the RP that went on after the combat encounter. It seemed natural and well-placed.


Just an FYI, I am off work this week and not traveling, so posts by me may increase.


The group did not grab as much loot as I thought that they would after the last encounter. Also, I didn't give you much time with the quick arrival of security.

I am adding the sum to your signing bonus.


To gather more information, you will have to question actual people and use either diplomacy or intimidation checks. The former producing friendly reactions and the latter causing hostility or at least resentment.

Oddly enough, I feel like that should be worth something I would think. If you want to find out more about either group, make a profession check roll and let's see what comes up.

You arrived in the morning. I am going to say that it is around 15:00 or 3 p.m. because of slight travel, waiting and talking. Combat encounters, while slow in pbp go fast in real time.


Ok. I don't want to railroad you, but you'll have to do some sleuthing here to advance the storyline. If you are wanting to relax, grab a meal, visit a casino, go shopping, that stuff can be arranged as well. I will just need a confirmation on what the group does next. Personally, I am finding that the pbp goes at a much slower pace than table top, but at least everyone shows up!:)


If we all have different ideas about where to go, I propose we each individually post what we want to try with the assumption that entire party is present. This might require some time jumping but I think its the only way to do gather information that is RPed out completely.

Yeah, I'm good with Blacklock's idea or something along those lines since I'm sure we all have somewhat different ideas on what to do here?

Also, question, should I just assume that I'm able to recharge the battery for my rifle as long as we're in civilization pretty easily? Like, since we're in Absalom Station should I wait until we rest for the night or something before I recharge it to full or can we just assume she uses a charger after any combat around the Station?

@ Kasha, you can recharge at the Moon Phase and at various spots around the station. Please let me know when you do so I can change it in the tracker.


Not sure if its worth it to do this in gameplay, but given a chance Ill split up the cred stick with everyone equally.


Ok, but I messed up by not giving everyone enough time to check and grab. My table group grabs loot like its candy. I wouldn't worry about it. It will even up down the road.

So I had a question about the combat drone. How weird is it to be walking around with a combat drone in a civilized place like Absalom station? Is it frowned on to bring it into stores and restaurants? It is medium sized and clearly weaponized, so I could see it not being welcome everywhere. On the other hand, we're all walking around openly carrying weapons, so maybe its not a big deal.

But anyways, just thought I'd get your perspective on what you'd think would be acceptable behavior.

I pictured it as sort of a conical r2d2. So in my mind, the assault hammer goes into a compartment, or it can be simply explained as a mining droid. I think that it would be more disconcerting if it was visibly armed with a firearm than an assault hammer.


I'm not trying to railroad you, I am just trying to make sense of what everyone wants to do. If you decide to walk out of the Moon Phase Lounge and proceed to Level 21 of the Spike, we can do that also.

Definitely feels like dying, Xond and Kasha have not posted for 9 days straight. Even then it was just a 'im still here' in discussion. Its been longer in gameplay. That's a big chunk of our group.

If we have to re-recruit, maybe make a once per day post requirement on weekdays or something. Hard to imagine this rate going on for years like the AP requires.

I definitely think a 1 post daily (or notification if you can't do that) is a necessary and reasonable requirement for keeping a game alive.

Hi, still here. Waiting to be called in for support if needed.


I really liked those characters. They were flavorful, especially Kasha. I'd keep her as an NPC, but I don't really want to run a character and GM simultaneously.

I wasn't strict with posting requirements because I run into real life struggles myself. Usually, I'm offline one weekend a month and two weeks in the summer. I try to get outdoors as much as possible.

I know Gryggax really wanted to play. That user seemed new, I could check with them. I agrew that a post commitment would improve the game, I just don't want to be a hypocrite about it as I sometimes post a day or two late.

After this encounter, everyone should level up. We can recruit after that. Gryggax is a healer I think if you want to go that route.

I'm going to let the remaining party decide on the needs, reserving the right to choose final players. My input is that Envoy is fun, essential face if the player is active and witty. I also feel like we need a solid melee role, although Boris may have that covered.

Thanks, doesn't seem to have any. Now that I think about it might be a waste since Trick Attack kind of does that for you. I'm still learning the rules and will probably make all kinds of blunders mechanically, but oh well.

I think once you hit the full 2 weeks since last hearing from them, it’s time to reach out. Just one more person is fine - that’s the recommended number. Doesn’t hurt to add an extra, though.


Ok, then do we go with Gryggax, a healer, really wants to play, but new to the game with no pbp experience really, or do we recruit?


I would be wary of Gryggax too but then again everyone has to start somewhere. He reads as a mature person. He might have more experience than the post count indicates, perhaps his alias page was too cluttered so he made a new account.


The party will definitely need a fourth PC for this next encounter. It may be quicker to just grab Gryggax and play on. If we lose that player, then recruit. I’m going to go with this for now. I will miss the fun of Kasha and Xond, but we must move forward.
