Standing next to Adular, Rain accepted his Water Breathing Spell on her as well as Variel. (Adular, please let me know the duration)
"I'm going into the water, after Fishpork" she said discreetly to Variel and Adular.

Moving to C:13, to stand next to Neko, she had a word to her cat companion. //Please cast Touch of the Sea on me. Then protect the helm.//

As a swift action she kicked in her animal focus: FROG. (The creature gains a +4 competence bonus on Swim checks and on Acrobatics checks to jump.)

She couldn't permit Fishpork to remain beneath the ship and cause whatever manner of damage to the Ship/rudder, or Variel or Ana, wherever she was.

Then Rain positioned herself, magical pike in hand, at the rail and as Variel moved to go into the water, she jumped into the water below.

Acrobatics to Jump into the water: 1d20 + 8 + 4 ⇒ (15) + 8 + 4 = 27

(This also brings her swim skill to (12+4) +16)

Not sure how high up Rain is on the deck and how far below is the water ... Hopefully she makes the jump and doesn't suffer damage.

Then moved toward the helm to protect the Wheel as instructed by her mistress.

She can only move 30 ft this round, placing Neko at E:17.

Rain landed in the water without trouble and, with pike before her, began to swim mindfully/cautiously/steathily in the water along the ship's hull (to B:17 in the water)

From her position, Rain takes a defensive stance as she looks around in the water for Fishpork's location, hoping the giant creature would not readily spot her, giving Variel and/or Ana time to get into position also.

Swim: 1d20 + 24 ⇒ (11) + 24 = 35 (Due to her favoured terrain: water, A ranger traveling through her favored terrain normally leaves no trail and cannot be tracked (though she may leave a trail if he so chooses.))
Perception: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (7) + 16 = 23
Stealth, if required: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (15) + 13 = 28

If she see Fishpork or anything, then she can telepathically send message to Neko on the ship -- I believe it has a 100ft range...is this is doable, that is.

Round 6

Neko, noting the sorcerer's air elemental and Jiro by the Wheel, moved to the side rail and taking a defensive stance, and attempting not to be seen/noted by the enemy, peered down into the water, hoping to warn Rain of any impending danger. Neko was still close enough to the Wheel to attack if any would try to take it, but she was attempting to be of use to Rain in the water, as well.

Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (3) + 7 = 10
Stealth: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (1) + 15 = 16 Great -- both low rolls.

Move action: to C:18 (top of stairs?).

Okay, so I’m itching to do something today and it looks like there won’t be any fighting until tomorrow so here’s at least some “Social RP” in the meantme.

Horatio suspects that best place of entrance to ascend unto the ship would be up the cable for the rudder. Furthermore, no one would be able to see Fishpork climbing the cables unless they were on the quarterdeck like Neko and looking aft off the ship – except for Amen-set who was standing on the Fighting Top and thus had elevation over both the main deck as well as the quarterdeck and could see folk climbing.

However, she was out of ammunition and could do little but watch and possibly cast a spell.

Therefore he continues to climb to the Top so he can at least aid her in watching the waters.

When he finally ascends to the top he turns to Dhaavan.

”M’Lord,” he calls out, still playing the role of the somewhat thuggish and un-intelligent bodyguard ”begging your pardon, but you’ve got a better view from up here to see that piss-drinking, monkey-fornicating whoreson… if he ever decides to show his poxing face, that is,” he adds with a bored look at the Pirate King’s crowd on the wharf.

Then he spits a fine stream of tobacco juice down on the docks and continues to watch the waters.

EDIT: GM, given that Horatio and Amen-set can score a perception of 14 and 15 respectively if they both get natural 1's I'm going to assume I can see Fishpork, too. Meantime, that's where they would have been looking anyway, because that's the best way to try to ascend the ship from the water and that's where they would have been looking in the first place.

Rain, frustrated by the creature's antics this day, quickly sent the warning to Neko via their link and instructed the golden cat to warn the others telepathically.

Neko heard the wherabouts of Fishpork and, via telepathy, mentally broadcast the warning to all the Lady's officers and their immediate companions within 100ft of her.

Seijiro has his rapier drawn and waits for Fishpork to board the ship and approach, readying an action to attack the monster when he comes aboard.

Mentally, he instructs Tomo to go up into the rigging where he'll be safer.

Horatio nods at the musket that Amen-set is holding and taps his ammunition belt – his expression alone silently asking if she wants it reloaded.

She shakes her head and keeps it slung over her back and her hand squeezes tight and a sudden dark energy crackles over her fist.

Clearly bored with her place it seems she is eager for battle to commence.

Though Horatio has ordered her to be cautious it's clear that she'd far rather be spilling blood than these tiresome games of cat-and-mouse...

Anasrianna, irritated that the creature won't stay still, decides to change things up a bit. All of a sudden you feel a swell of water slightly rock the ship as the water is displaced by a huge creature of some sort. Climbing out of the water onto the dock you see a massive lizard like creature, long wicked clawed arms gouging the docks with it's massive strength. Once out of the water it shakes itself, dislodging the water and roars. Brightscale answers back with a roar of his own though you get the feeling he is saying *About time you showed up Ana*. The creature is 15' tall and probably weighs several thousand pounds, it's scales shimmer green, with yellow stripes and a yellow snout.

Knowledge Nature DC 15:
Ana has turned into an Allosaurus.

Neko swiftly sent Rain a quick, telepathic description of the new creature now roaring on the dock. Rain had already broken the surface and had heard the roar.

Rain pondered her memory of such creatures.

Switching her animal focus to Monkey (swift action, +4 to climb), Rain stowed her pike on her back and holding onto the hull with both hands, Rain began to climb up the side of ship, using whatever handholds, footholds and rope she had to make the task faster.

Accelerated climb to move at half speed (15ft) with -5 penalty: 1d20 + 10 + 4 - 5 ⇒ (18) + 10 + 4 - 5 = 27 (I believe it is 10 to 15 ft to reach the deck? That's how far she jumped down earlier on. Also, not sure what other penalties are involved - Immortal factor them in and please let me know.)

I think that's all she can do this round.

Not being able to see the bulky Fishpork from her current position because of the magical fog cloud, Neko used her scent ability to pinpoint the creature's location.

When she had a good idea where Fishpork was from his putrid/particular scent, Neko cast Acid Splash.

One acid missile flew from her paw toward Fishpork.

Perception using Scent to locate Fishpork: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (19) + 15 = 34

Ranged Touch Attack with acid missile, 35 ft range: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (6) + 8 = 14

Dhaavan; "Whirlwind" is a special attack of the Elemental. It can be used freely instead of a standard attack. I don't see any restrictions on how many times a day you can use it, plus, when you use Whirlwind as a special attack it doesn't provoke an AoO.

Are you sure you can't use it again?

Flynn, air elemental whirlwind is limited to a number of rounds at a time. "Some creatures can transform themselves into whirlwinds and remain in that form for up to 1 round for every 2 HD they have. If the creature has a fly speed, it can continue to fly at that same speed while in whirlwind form; otherwise it gains a fly speed equal to its base land speed (average maneuverability) while in whirlwind form." Also, using whirlwind doesn't provoke an aoo but leaving a threatened space does no matter the form.

Hearing Dhaavan's commands to lure the creature from the fog, he shakes his head in frustration at the beast.

He turns to Amen-set -

"Take care of the fog," he tells her bluntly, then he leaps from the Fighting Top to land on the deck below and advance quickly to the melee, if necessary.

What she's casting:

Excellent Roll! That said, you're totally confident that she's casting Summon Elemental 2.

Further, with that great roll you also suspect that she's probably planning on summoning another Air Elemental to drive away this fog, especially as:

A: Your Elemental is still alive but isn't banishing the fog this round and -

B: You instructed the others to "lure it out of the fog" which makes her AND Horatio believe that your Air Elemental can't do it again next round, or otherwise you'd have it retreat for a round to safety, then do it again next round. Finally -

C: Amen-set wants to fight; the fog is blocking her ability to use her ranged weapons; she's going to take steps to remove the fog so that next round she can at least try to use her MW Crossbow or something else...

NOTE: If Dhaavan has an alternative plan for what she can cast, she'd happily adjust her action if you call out to her before she really starts cooking (provided it won't make her lose the spell)...

Sure thing this round...

After giving the gift of water breathing to Variel and others around him Adular sees little that he can do in his current position. With Variel disappearing into the fog, Rain on the far side of the ship and the rest at range Adular takes the plunge and follows Variel. He pauses momentarily though to creat a copycat image of himself and ends up directly below Variel protected by the difference in deck heights.

Suddenly another Air Elemental appears at F:16 and Amen-set, recalling the words Dhaavan had used to command the creature, points at the fog and demands that it goes into a whirlwind and removes the fog so that her allies can see...

The Air Elemental moves cautiously into the space of F:18 and transforms into a whirlwind, thereby removing the fog!

At least that's the plan. GM: If the fog is removed then Amen-set will attempt one thing; if the fog is still there, that will effect both her's and Horatio's action for the round.

Please let me know the status of the fog and I'll go from there. Thanks!

Variel's will save 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (4) + 7 = 11 +1 fear, +2 enchantment Doubtful but with bonuses who knows.

With the fog clearing and the marsh giant fully exposed Variel chooses to aid his allies rather than go for a more damaging attack. Still with his abilities he is able to get 2 attacks in on the giant.

Cool! Well, now that I know the Fog is formally gone I will at least have Horatio use his first of his Double Move Action to stand up. Also, not sure if I can see Fishguts given his height and distance, but in either case, I'm moving forward to help!

As Horatio stands up he charges up the stairs on the port side.

Quickly appraising the situation (and not wanting to step in range of a reach weapon) he moves to H:19 with the remainder of his Double Move Action.

This should - hopefully - put me out of the range of his reach weapon (I'm assuming it is a reach weapon?) but as I'm only 20 feet from him it should also remove any range penalties for next round.

As she watches the folk on the far deck she casts a spell -

A sudden burst of Flame is Produced in her hand.

She flings it at the enemy -

Attack on Enemy -
1d20 + 4 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 4 + 1 + 2 = 22

IF it hits -
1d6 + 5 ⇒ (6) + 5 = 11

Then she orders her Air Elemental to rise up and back and hover for a time to the left of Horatio (at H:18) in case the enemy should try to destroy it and then summon another fog.

EDIT: The spell is Produce Flame and is Touch Attack; no range penalty.

GM: If it hits, there is no save.
