Huh...I could have sworn that the wand and the potions were magic. I wonder what the liquid is?? Maybe we should take it to an alchemist to get them checked out...did any of my contacts give me any idea what they might be?? And I guess the wand is just non-magical...and magic users who might want it??

Very well, thanks. Had some great weather and great company, and aside from a bit of drama things were a lot of fun.
Recruiting was less than successful, though. I ran a game, but with only half the number I'd wanted. They've had some bad experiences with a certain that guy GM, and I got several violent "NO"'s. Not quite the enthusiasm I was hoping for. I've more or less given up on them, as being pushy isn't going to get me anywhere.
True to form, I ran said GM and a few others through we be goblins and he tried to sodomize every foe he came across...
Perhaps I'll start up a PbP here instead. I've certainly seen how it's done.

How do we want to deal with treasure?? We have a bag load of money from the stuff we took, as well as a few magical items. How should it be divided up, and who should keep track of the treasure?
Welcome back Twigs....sorry to hear it did not go so well...I hate when one person ruins it for everyone.

If you sell everything but the potion, wand, and oil, you'll come out at 1785 gp. However, as none of you are wizards (or any other class capable of casting magic missile for that matter), it wouldn't be unwise to sell the wand. Dhan can use Use Magic Device to use wands, though. So, your choice on what to do with it. The potion has still yet to be identified. I assume you'll want to hang onto an oil of keen edge. So, the previously stated amount divided evenly among the four of you comes out to 446 gp, 2 sp, and 5 cp each.

Hello gents, how do you fair? You may or may not recall that I had been playing in this campaign a month or so back as a magus, but dropped out due to issues with my schedule. Shortly after that, I ended up getting out of PbPs altogether, and the craziest thing happened. I REALLY missed it. In any case, finals are finished at my school, and wouldn't you know it? My schedule is nowhere near as busy as it once was. I started playing in a game that Twigs is running, and he had mentioned, Hector, that you still only had four people in this campaign (and that he needed a cynic foil for his character), and suggested I inquiring about returning. So here I am, tail between my legs, wondering if you would be open to such a notion. I completely understand if you'd rather not, though I did enjoy this group for the brief time I played with them, and I really hope you'll give me a second chance.

Sweet! I'll browse through the IC thread to see what I've missed, but could someone fill me in on the basics? How did you guys resolve Marcus's sudden departure? I presume that as it stopped being important, nothing has been resolved involving his cousin?
Also, since I'm playing a fairly stoic character in Twigs's game, I hope it's alright if I slightly tweak Marcus's personality so I can be a little more open and ambitious with him.

DM Hector |

I resolved it behind the scenes. Marcus discovered documentation in Yargin's office that showed that Marcus's cousin had been a frequent customer of their less-legal wares, and Marcus assumed him dead. He aided Titus in bringing those captured to justice just before hearing of the king's death. In the ensuing chaos, the queen called in the Order of the Nail Hellknights to help quell the riots. Marcus has been helping. This is the following afternoon. Henric, Alexei, Dhan, and Alatáriël have met with the queen and are now checking in with the Korvosan Guard to see how they can help the city.
Although I'm sad to say that, not having heard from Alexei in a quite a while, he seems to have wandered back to the Bank. That being the case, we'll say that he handed over the silver case to Henric.

Marcus Ignatius |

If it's been a day, Marcus would have at least contacted the Order of the Nail to see about joining them. I'm not sure how long that process would take, but it would not be unreasonable that he'd stop by the city watch in the mean time to see what he could do to quell the chaos in the city.

DM Hector |

That sounds fine. I'm not sure on Hellknights changing orders, so I'll check the Hellknights article in Council of Thieves. In the meantime, we can say they're working on it. With any institution as bureaucratic as the Hellknights, such things can take a while.

Just giving a heads up that I'll be fairly scarce for next week. There's a problem with my internet, so I can only post from work or from various cafes. On Thursday, I'll be leaving to visit friends and family in the States, which means I'll be totally out of commission for a day as I fly over, but after the 20th, I should have fairly reliable internet access again.

DM Hector |

Each of the gold ingots contained in the silver case are worth 100 gold sails a piece. There are 12 of them. Also, the case itself is of a very fine quality and, as such, is worth 50 gold sails in and of itself should you desire to sell it.

Dhan Semloh |

Glad to see you back...I was getting worried that it was just going to be the 3 of us going in!!
If possible I would like to spend some of my money and purchase 4 potions of CLW. I will subtract 200 gold sails from my total. (I think I have the balance from some of the stuff we already sold..)

DM Hector |

Just to let you know, I haven't left. I'm back on work rotation and pulling 14+ hour days with an hours drive there and another back. I'll be back on task Thursday. Thanks for you guys' patience with my sporadic work life. And go ahead with the potions Dhan.
