Please note the Entangle spell makes all the affected terrain Difficult. This means 2x movement to enter. If your base speed is 20, it's reduced to 10' and you can't get adjacent to the cougar this round. Sorry if I didn't mention it earlier, if you want to retcon any action, please do so.
Still need an action from Tunder and Mirela and a stabilize roll from Seldon before the goblin goes.
Barek Hisdren
Forgot it's difficult terrian even if you make the save. However, Barek has a hole card for this situation. Dragon Style lets him charge through allies AND difficult terrain. So can I retcon the movement to a Charge? He will take the -2 to AC so that he can deliver that punch (with a +2 to attack if it matters).
Now he also needs another reflex save for staying in the Entangled area. And, yes, Dragon Style is a wee bit overpowered in my opinion.

Stabilize: 1d20 - 3 ⇒ (11) - 3 = 8
The light in Seldon's eyes goes out as the panther drops him limp to the ground. "Rhaich!" the elf gasps, clutching at his throat. "Drive them from this foul place melloneamin, and be not afraid. Desna watches... over you..."
Yikes! Another brush with death for poor Seldon. But at the same time holy wow as a GM I am super excited watching this fight pan out, for better or worse. :P
Tunder Stonepeak
Reflex 1d20 + 5 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 5 + 2 = 12 w/dwarven resistance
The writhing foliage holds Tunder fast, but it doesn't seem to matter to him as he targets the cat on top of the elf.
Iona (Hvy Crossbow):

Then reload.
Mirela Malvo
Reflex DC 14: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (1) + 6 = 7
Completely and utterly unprepared for the entangling, Mirela finds herself bogged down in the weeds and overgrowth in the area. With a frustrated growl, Mirela attempts to wriggle herself free.
Escape Artist: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (6) + 7 = 13 Seriously? Wow, epic fail.

Gogmurt and Friend - Round 1 - concluded
22 Thorn
21 Selena (entangled)
16 Panther
16 Barek
11 Tunder (entangled)
8 Seldon (unconscious}
7 Mirela (entangled)
4 Gogmurt
Seeing his cleric friend go down, Barek charges, his training allowing him to ignore the grabbing vines and branches, and pummels the cougar, who screams in pain.
Tunder's shot, affected by his partial entanglement, goes wide of hitting the slinky cat.
Seldon drops another HP, as blood continues flowing from his bite and claw wounds.
Frustrated, Mirela can only watch as the vines and spiky thorns continue to grapple her.
Stepping out of the thick thorny bushes without a scratch on him, comes a goblin dressed in strange ceremonial garb. In one hand, is a darkwood wand, in the other, which waves around in an incantation of some kind, appears a flaming blade. "Ha, longshanks come to Thistletop, must pay with blood!"
End of Round 1
Seldon is at -5 and dropping. The cat took Barek's best punch already. What's up now? Remember, if you start a round in the affected area need another Reflex save. If already entangled, need a strength check or Escape Artist DC 14 as a move action to free yourself. Even if freed, the terrain is difficult and will slow you.
Thorn, Omen bringer
Thorn first makes sure there is no other threats, he pulls his feet clean of the entangling underbrush, then focuses on the cat once more swinging high, before throwing as much weight as he can into the attack.
1d20 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6 Perception Check.
1d20 + 4 ⇒ (13) + 4 = 17 Reflex save.

Still hamper by the growth Selena forgoes the use of her spells and concentrates on disrupting the shaman with the flaming blade instead.

Gogmurt and Friend - Round 2
Freeing himself from the brush, Thorn swings his guisarme high, but a little too high, missing the black coated cougar completely.
Frustrated by her inability to break free, Selena readies an action in case the caster comes into her view.
Leaving Seldon for dead, the cat turns to take on more threats before coming back to dine. She swishes her tail as she stalks backward, and pounces at Barek, fresh off his charge. The man avoids the bloody jaws and one paw, but the other clubs and scratches him for 6hp.
Cougar Reflex: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (8) + 9 = 17
Cougar Bite: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (8) + 6 = 14
Cougar Claw1: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (8) + 6 = 14
Cougar Claw2: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (15) + 6 = 21
Claw2 Damage: 1d3 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6
Really, three 8's in a row? Barek, Tunder, and a stbility roll for Seldon hopefully we get to all that tomorrow. Don't forget to roll Reflex if starting teh round in the affected area.
Seldon Swiftheel
1d20 - 4 ⇒ (13) - 4 = 9
Barek Hisdren
I made my reflex save at the end of the last round.
Barek growls as the cougar slices him with a claw. He rears back and tries to smash the cat in return.
Attack (DS): 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (20) + 7 = 27
Damage (DS): 1d6 + 8 ⇒ (2) + 8 = 10
Crit Confirm: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (9) + 7 = 16
Extra Damage: 1d6 + 8 ⇒ (5) + 8 = 13
If that kills the cougar, then he will move out of the entagled area toward the goblin.

Gogmurt and Friend -Round 2 -continued
Feeling the slashing wound of the cougar's claws, Barek strikes back with a mighty swing. His blow catches the cat square under the chin, and sends it flailing backwards, nearly turning head over heels before collapsing to the ground in an un-moving heap. Seeing an opportunity to move before the vines find him again, the brawler moves a bit closer to the goblin caster, but not out of the way of the grabbing branches.
Seldon's bleeding continues unabated.
Cougar is down now. Need posts from Tunder and Mirela to finish up round. Barek, I show you at 12/24hp, sound right to you?
Tunder Stonepeak
Tunder leans over and tries to help the elf. "You keep falling elf."
Healing 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6
If that doesn't work, he'll get a Potion of Cure Light wounds to give to Seldon.
Also, just in case Reflex 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (10) + 5 = 15
Mirela Malvo
Escape Artist to break free: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (13) + 6 = 19
After several moments of struggling mightily with the animated foliage surrounding her, Mirela manages finally to squirm free. With a triumphant grin, the lithe acrobat dodges and weaves through the vines in an attempt to provide aid. Seeing the beast felled, she continues on towards the goblin nearby.
Hustling through the terrain, double move but at half speed for the difficult terrain. Moving full speed still doesn't quite clear Mirela of the entangle area, so another check follows as per above.
Escape Artist, end of turn: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (16) + 6 = 22

Gogmurt and Friend - round 2 - concluded
Reaching for a potion, Tunder stoops and pours it down the throat of the bleeding and unconscious Seldon. The magical elixir does it's work as the bleeding stops and the cleric begins to sputter and regain his senses.
Finally able to break free of the grasping vines, Mirela moves towards the goblin caster threateningly.
The goblin druid strikes at Mirela with his flame blade. Trying to drive her back into the tangling woods, but the rogue avoids his slashing attempts.
CLW potion: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 1 = 8
Gogmurt Flame Blade: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8
End of Round 2
Technically, it's a Reflex save to avoid the entanglements each turn, and then a move actino for Strength or Escape Artist to break free. Same rolls for you (or pretty close) so we'll take them. Good to see Seldon back in action again. Without the cougar to worry about, you can close in on the goblin much easier.
Thorn, Omen bringer
1d20 + 4 ⇒ (14) + 4 = 18 Reflex save
Thorn sees Tunder take care of Seldon and goes after the flaming goblin. If he has enough movement still he takes a heavy blow at the goblin.
1d20 + 6 - 1 ⇒ (17) + 6 - 1 = 22 guisarme attack with PA, 2d4 + 6 + 3 ⇒ (3, 1) + 6 + 3 = 13 damage with PA.
Seldon Swiftheel
Reflex: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7
Seldon's hand traces across his ravaged throat. He manages a look of wordless thanks to Tunder before pulling himself to hsi feet and struggling against his bonds.
Strength: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7
Selena Magnimar
Thwarted by the goblin not coming around the corner, Selena has to take matters into her own hands. She first tries to break free of the entangling grasses and plants holding her hostage.
escape artist 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4
Not having any luck initially she tries again to free herself.
escape artist 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4
The grasses are too tough for her and all she can do is strain futility at her living bonds. Hopefully her new companions fare better and can silence the goblin and end the growth giving her such problems.
Barek Hisdren
Reflex Save: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (19) + 4 = 23
Barek struggles out of the branches and throws a dangerous right hook at the goblin.
Attack (DS): 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (14) + 7 = 21
Damage (DS): 1d6 + 8 ⇒ (2) + 8 = 10
Mirela Malvo
Reflex Save: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (11) + 6 = 17
Still dodging the weeds and vines, Mirela finally finds her target who is currently engaged with Barek. Drawing her rapier, she strikes at the goblin from his flank.
Attack: 1d20 + 5 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 5 + 2 = 10

Gogmurt and Friend - Round 3
Despite being freed from the entangling plants, Thorn's movement is still slowed enough he can only get within range of the goblin with a double move. No attack available.
Unfortunate Selena is still fully engaged with the grasping plants and cannot free herself despite repeated attempts to do so.
No longer worried about entanglements (you are out of the affected area) Barek fires a hard right hand that crashes against the jaw of the goblin, certainly getting his attention after he was focused on the Varisian rogue.
Tunder rips his way lose of the entwining vines but it so hampers his movement that he only advances a short ways.
Seldon is able to pull himself upright but cannot move farther due to the many restraining plants that have encircled him.
Lastly, Mirela sidesteps into a flanking position, but the shifty goblin avoids her rapier attack.
The goblin druid makes a mighty swing with his flaming blade at Mirela then sidesteps out of the flanked position, and right into the thorny bushes which part magically to let him through unscathed. The flaming blade catches the Varisian rogue for 5hp damage and causes her clothing to begin to smoulder.
End of Round 3
Gogmurt Flame Blade: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (16) + 3 = 19
Mirela Damage: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5
I have Mirela with 10/21hp, right? The goblin druid has walked into the thorns where you cannot pass. These briars are like walls for you, but you can attempt to hack them down etc.
Tunder Stonepeak
Reflex 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (14) + 5 = 19
Tunder moves out of the area of magical plant growth and prepares to fire his crossbow at their enemy.
Iona (Hvy Crossbow): hatred, fav enemy,
to hit 1d20 + 4 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 4 + 1 + 2 = 12 Damage 1d10 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6
Selena Magnimar
Escape artist 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5
Again 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 2 = 12 Really, 4 rolls and nothing above a 10
Selena continus to be held captive by the grasses and weeds unable to free herself to aid the others.
Seldon Swiftheel
Reflex: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (18) + 4 = 22
Freeing himself from the brambles, Seldon will Channel Energy, clutching his holy symbol as it glows like the north-star between his fingertips. (I think there's a point in my movement, after 5ft, that I can catch the whole party but not Gogmurt. Correct me if I'm wrong on that though. Also I'll update Seldons hp in his header, I believe he should be on 9/23)
Channel Energy: 2d6 ⇒ (3, 5) = 8
Barek Hisdren
"He stepped into the wall! I can't reach him!" Barek growls in frustration. He falls back to allow Tunder and Thorn to close with the goblin.
Some hefty penalties for Barek attacking. Downside of using fists.
Thorn, Omen bringer
ROUND 4
Thorn will take a five foot step and attempt to strike the goblin.
1d20 + 6 - 1 - 4 ⇒ (13) + 6 - 1 - 4 = 14 guisarme attack with cover, 2d4 + 6 + 3 ⇒ (4, 3) + 6 + 3 = 16 damage with PA.
Mirela Malvo
Given that Mirela needs to put out her smouldering clothing, and can't reach the little bugger, she'll step back.
Round 3
Clutching her wound which appears as quickly to heal under Seldon's blessing, Mirela curses at the goblin and steps back to duck and roll, putting out the flames left by the blade.
DM DoctorEvil
Gogmurt and Friend - Round 4 - concluded
Thorn advances and pokes around in the shrubbery, but can't make pointy contact with the druid.
Selena remains held against her will by the entwining vines and plants and cannot escape despite her repeated attempts.
Frustrated by his quarry escaping into the brambles where he cannot follow, Barek steps back allowing the others a better chance.
Tunder gets free of the entangling plants and fires his crossbow at the fleeing goblin, but the shot caroms off the briars and misses.
Seldon calls on the Goddess to heal his compatriots as he strolls out of the grasping plant area as well. The warm glow of healing touches each of the party, reviving you from a hard series of fights.
Mirela disengages from the goblin, dropping to put the fire out on her clothes before burns set in.
The goblin druid throws one more fireball at Thorn, then steps back farther into the briars where he can't be seen, and disappears.
End of Combat
Flame Ball, touch: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6
The goblin escaped to fight another day perhaps. Time to pick up the pieces.
Barek Hisdren
Barek helps the others out of the grasping vines and grasses. "Any sign of where he went?" He looks around the plants for indications of goblin movements.

Selena Magnimar
With the sounds of combat ending, the rush to free herself is over. Instead of fighting her situation, Selena waits till the spell effect ends and then moves to join the group. Sorry everyone. I failed to get free and help you all. I will not fail again in such a way. Rest assured I will do my part. Seldon, are you ok? I saw you go down but was unable to aid you either?
Thorn, Omen bringer
Thorn looks and tries to help Barek find the goblin.
1d20 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 2 = 22 Perception check.

The goblin druid has gone deeper into the brush than either of you are able to see, but Thorn hears the crackling and smashing of branches which seems to indicate he moved off to the north (along the same track as the drag marks).
The entangle spell wears off eventually and you all have freedom of movement again. The donkey, first fearful of the cougar attack and then pinned by the ensnaring vines, brays loudly it's complaint at being drug into this briary mess.
You all agree to follow the drag marks or explore in a different direction?
Thorn, Omen bringer
"It seems like it is beyond our reach in the brambles, but heads North. Thank you Tunder for keeping my brother alive, alas I fail on that area. Good work everyone! Anyone else with serious injuries? Seldon how many channels do you have left today?" Thorn asks.
Selena Magnimar
I am good just furious at myself for being trapped for so long and being so ineffective the entire time. Next time I see that shaman I will get my revenge. Until then I will follow you and the drag marks.
Mirela Malvo
Finally putting out the last of the flames, Mirela curses quietly to herself "Damn, I hate the smell of burnt leather."
Sheathing her rapier, Mirela nods at Selena "Don't beat yourself up about it, you weren't the only one who got caught up in that mess." Squinting her eyes at the brambles, Mirela shakes her head angrily "We're going to get that little bugger."
Moving towards the drag marks, Mirela crouches down to view them "Let's follow the drag marks then."
Tunder Stonepeak
....Squinting her eyes at the brambles, Mirela shakes her head angrily "We're going to get that little bugger."
Moving towards the drag marks, Mirela crouches down to view them "Let's follow the drag marks then."
"That's Gorum's truth you're speaking now. It's the first sensible thing you've said."

Thorn nods in agreement then goes to check on Bessie.
