What way do you like the combat initative better? Rolls or like it is in Fire?
I thought anout refunding improved initiative feats and adopting the LoF rules. What do you think?

I like mechanics and rule sets so removing them makes me uncomfortable because then abuse occurs.

To some people, having fun means breaking balance and cheesing. That's what the rulesets are supposed to solve. I don't mind the way you are doing it, its working for now but I have a feeling that at higher levels with certain players its going to become a serious issue.
The highest I have ever played was to level 8 in a second edition game. So what are your concerns. I have a tendancy to try to fix what is not broken. Like you say I can do that because this is not a viedo game.
Most of my experience is in 3.0/3.5 but I've played 1-20+ a few times in that system. I've also DMed a ton in 3.0/3.5. In AD&D I was a teenager and thus played mostly low level stuff. I'm a rules lawyer by nature so I tend to stick to rules unless the rules are bonkers then I make new ones that have some semblance of verisimilitude.

Ameiko Kaijitsu spent her early childhood in Kassen and even though she was older you all grew up together. She will have gotten word that you have became successful adventures and wants to invite you to the Rusty Dragon a tavern she started for adventures in Sandpoint so the 6 of you may catch up and tell stories.
Once we are in Sandpoint we can do either of those AP's.
I would be okay with Rise of the Runelords. I don't think this is the character I would want to play for Jade Regent.
BTW Dave, Hajar is Nalun in this game, so he's not gonna be posting for a bit. We'll be at a standstill until he can post to provide the key.
Yea no problem. Like I said I'd rather wait then DMPC. That being said I am sure Nalun would toss you the key. I am sure he would also yell to you to use fire on it as it is vulnerable to fire. Torches would work fine.

Is anyone thinking of Multi Classing? I could see Shalee becoming a Fighter/Bard. I don't know what he had in mind for that character I just know she cracks me up. If you want to Multi Class feel free. If you want to do something crazy like Gunslinger or Samurai we will figure something out to make it work.
I probably wouldn't multiclass. But who knows, maybe I'll become a paladin lol.
Maybe, I am going to have to beef up the AP for a bit to give you a challenge. You are supposed to start at LV 1 of course. It will be pretty simple to throw in some extra baddies. Only 1 encounter in the entire Legacy of Fire game has been what it was supposed to be by the AP so far. Lol.
As a GM I get excited to get you to "The good part" that always seems to be just one encounter away lol. I have been looking forward to this construct fight though.

To increase difficulty by 1cr simply add the advanced template to all enemies. It's simple, +2 to all rolls and +1HD....

Np, sometimes my tabletop game has 6-7 people so I increase CR that way.
Incidentally, I would prefer it if you don't DMPC my character - at least in combat. Outside of combat, if we're just doing exploration stuff and I haven't posted all day, fine - but in combat, or for skill-checks or social situations or what have you, I'd prefer to be in full control of Mark.
