Knowledge [local] to find a suitably skilled and ethically sketchy weaponsmith type, and then it'll cost you. (Jax, did you give your cohort Knowledge [local]?)
I have not reached that part of the gameplay thread yet but just in case Cуровую can help.
Cуровую Knowledge Local 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (14) + 13 = 27 for a weaponsmith. Also maybe the Baron can help in this situation.

I am going to assume that we will sell the ioun stone, 2500 is just too much to pass up, considering.
That means that we will have 4077 if we sell that, the MW longsword,MW Mace the kits, and the gems so 709.92 per person
again it is a bit meta to give a cut to the dead, but I don't care
Zimu let me know if you plan to keep those gloves

I am not saying the DM is sneaky, but the DM IS Sneaky.
He may have put that Ioun stone there for a reason. We do need to open a gate to another plane and we may need a high Knowledge Planes, I am just saying something to consider.
I am almost done reading this thread, Mini GM suggested I start with the other thread so I will go there now.

FWOOOMPH. There is a blast of flame and a puff of brimstone. You leap backwards from the sudden wave of heat.
Ragnar the dog is gone.
Wait Ragnar went to join Rosa?

Rule #1 of playing a caster. Always wear spiked gauntlets. Always.
Rule #2 of playing a warrior. Always wear spiked gauntlets. Always.
Rule #3 of combat. Always have at least two spare weapons. (Wrist Sheath with a Masterwork silver dagger, a sling, a pickaxe, spiked gauntlets and a MW composite longbow with a Str bonus :D)

Ulp |

I told you just pay and move on but no one listens to ulp

Dren of the Dark Tapestry |

It was a bit of a gamble...I was hoping we might meet something we could deal with in a more reasonable manner and potentially get more information and even if we lost maybe we set up a rapport with.

Dren of the Dark Tapestry |

Hi all. I am heading to Costa Rica for a week and will have little access to the internet, except for a few minutes a day, so my posting may be very light or spotty from Saturday to Saturday.
Feel free to post for me as needed.

All you need is to gain Mythic Tier 1, then you can take it as an archmage ability. Perhaps we are meeting our first Mythic random encounter.
Don't give him ideas. Jax doesn't need help dying!

Welcome to the flat. People are just dying to get in here.

I like to think of myself like Picasso or Dali. Not because I am any good at art, but more because most anything I draw ends up looking like random lines and patterns on the page.

Bref |

so in my RotRL interlude the heroes have just reached Bref. Leveled up and at the end of a nasty nasty dungeon full of cursed items and traps.
This is how Bref was meant to die.

Ulp |

They are about to swarm us w spiders, already they are cheating...I expect the all out attack soon.

Jax Naismith |

Nah, they are likely fey and playing with us. Stick to the rules or make up fun reasons why you have to do things and we are good. What save is that btw dm? Here is a d 20: 1d20 ⇒ 5

Cуровую зиму |

Dren or Ulp, do you have any means of waking up Grumblejack from where we are.
It may be safer to have him awake, although make sure he does not start attacking.
Cуровую in theory could send a single Force Missile to wake him but our hosts may consider that 'casting' and drop more spiders on the ground.

Jax Naismith |

if he surrendered then leave it alone. we follow our rules, after all, we do have to come back through here
That was jax's initial instinct. Then his greed went: what shinies does he have?

DMRaven |

We'll go with Dren's roll and diplomacy. Jax is only good at lying, which is best as an assistance type deal!
With so many ideas for other characters, I laugh every time Jax handily avoids taking any significant damage. Maguses are so versatile, I love it. Due to the casting + melee combination, magus, druid, cleric, bard and inquisitor are easily my favorite classes..

Okay, gang. I have some bad news.
I just a few days ago found out that my workstream is being shut down. This means that I'm going to be unemployed starting in the middle of next month.
Now, this is not our first trip to the rodeo. The nature of consulting work is that there's really never job security. In fact, when we started the first campaign 18 months ago, in November 2012, I was freelancing. But this time we're being caught by surprise, after we had made various plans. So, we're scrambling a little.
This campaign has been a huge amount of fun, and often a very welcome distraction. But the next couple of months are going to be very up in the air, and I don't think I'll be able to give this the attention it deserves. I'm very sorry to end like this, but there it is.
Does this mean the end? Well, I'll leave the door open a crack -- if things settle down, and people are still interested, we could conceivably start things up again. But, realistically, we're probably looking at several months, and I would expect that you guys will have moved on to other things by then. So, not certainly the end, but very probably.
I have very much enjoyed playing with all of you, and if things ever break that way, I'd be delighted to game with you again, whether online or FTF. I am still coming to the US at the end of this month (tickets already bought) and will be passing through NYC, Washington DC, and Nashville. If you're anywhere near any of those places, drop me a note -- my address is "vormuir" in the domain men call yahoo dot com.
With respect and warmest regards,
Doug M.

Jax Naismith |

Agh! That sucks, sudden un-employment is incredibly difficult to plan around when you have children. I'd be happy to start anew or continue gaming down the line with you, provided I'm still even using this website (hard to know what will happen in a few months!). Unfortunately, we're up in St. Louis and not near any of those cities. We used to live near NYC (Long Island and New Jersey), have friends in Arlington right next to DC and used to live in Clarksville (45m to 1 hour east of Nashville).
I wish you the best of luck and hope things turn around quickly, the current job market in the U.S. is far from pleasant but you seem to have solid experience to help you find something!

MiniGM |

I will be around. This is hands down the best game I have ever been a part of.
But that is not important. I am so sorry about the job situation, though I suspect you will land on your feet soon. I might be in dc some this summer let me how when you will be there and if it lines up I can treat you to a beer! If you need a fix for pathfinder let me know and you can always come into any of my games for as long or as short as you like
If I could send you a job I would.
