Alex, as much as I hate to say this, a 17 would confirm the crit on Tun'ada because he is raging without a shield. (Current AC 16 including the extra +1 from Mage Armor).

Honesty appreciated. Extra damage- 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6

Where do they shift position to? This may have bearing on Ambroze's action.

Your Humble Narrator

One is now directly north of Savarend, one is directly west, both in melee range.

Round Three:
Using his knowledge of the cannibals, Ambroze begins calling out advice to his companions for how to best battle their adversaries. The scholarly gnome draws his wickedly sharp shortsword as he speaks.

Standard action to activate Bardic Knowledge (Naturalist) ability (assuming that the previous knowledge check from the big battle with the cannibals is applicable): all allies within 30 ft receive +1 insight bonus to AC and on attack rolls and saving throws against exceptional, supernatural, and spell-like abilities used by the cannibals. Currently this only affects Savarend and Ambroze, as the others are more than 30 ft away from Ambroze. Move action to draw shortsword.

The savage leader looks at Marcus hungrily, sheathing his scimitar and reaching out to touch Marcus' fresh wound, smearing the mercenaries blood over his hand and wiping it all over his face, some getting into his mouth... The redhead seems to be instilled with confidence having made this move, and grins like a madman, his face red with fresh blood...

Marcus, this provokes an attack of opportunity from you...

Searching inside herself for a way to keep Marcus free of the taint of any foul tribal magic this creature might be attempting, Gwen finally closes her eyes and simply lets the foreign words come forth.

The deflection AC bonus is not going to stack with the potion of sheild of faith Marcus drank. I'm hoping we can assume that Gwen knew what Marcus was doing particularly when he complained that he forgot to drink it for the big cannibal battle.

Female Human Oracle 4

It wouldn't change what she's doing anyway. That was the least important effect in her mind. She's casting the spell for the benefit to saves, really.

Your Humble Narrator

I'm off for the evening, thought i'd update the savages so Ambroze can act today though.

One of Savarend's strikes to the neck breaks something vital, and the savage dies instantly from the blow. The second is badly wounded from a kick to the chest with the full force of 180 lbs of solid Dwarf behind it. Worried about what foul magic the cannibal might be attempting, Gwenyth puts a protective ward over Marcus, who attempts to trip the cannibal leader as he reaches out to Marcus' wound. As Marcus attempts the trip, the cannibal throws Marcus off guard and lunges at him with animal-like ferocity, only the potion Marcus drunk sparing him from the savages teeth.

He was still threatening you with his teeth ;).

1d20 + 4 ⇒ (18) + 4 = 22 Narrow miss

Marcus' counter attack is unsuccessful, his falcata glancing off the cannibal's armour while the shield bash is deftly dodged. Tun'ada has more luck, his claw slashing Klorax across the face. Chi puts a hex upon Klorax, the superstitious savage partially resisting the effect but still making him a little less sure of his defences, Chi's cackling extending the hex as she withdraws from the javelin fire coming her way.

1d20 + 8 ⇒ (14) + 8 = 22 Will save success

The savage attacking Tun'ada presses his advantage, laughing gleefully as Klorax takes Marcus' blood. His rusty scimitar sails hopelessly wide, thunking into the nearby building. Another savage moves to take his dead allies place fighting Savarend, with both cannibals attempting to cut the monk. The last savage hurls a javelin at Savarend now Chi is hidden out of sight, the projectile flying half a metre wide.

Round Four:
Ambroze continues to offer words of advice while casting a spell to make the ground slippery beneath the feet of the two savages battling Savarend.

Free action to continue Bardic Performance (Naturalist). Standard action to cast Grease on the 10-ft square just west of Savarend - this will catch both of the cannibals battling the dwarf. The savages must make a Reflex DC 14 or fall. They can walk within the greased area at half speed with a DC 10 Acrobatics check - failure means they can't move that round (and must then make a Reflex save or fall), while failure by 5 or more means they fall.

Your Humble Narrator

Bump; need Gwen's action, will take in six and a half hours if not posted as per my 24 hr policy :).

Your Humble Narrator

Busy day myself!

Savarend continues to stand fast and dispatches another savage quickly and efficiently. Gwenyth continues to feel Marcus' wounds as his own heal (+5HP Marcus, -5HP Gwen) and repositions herself to release a burst of positive energy; excluding both the savage leader and his ally from the healing. The wounds suffered by Tun'ada, Marcus, Gwenyth and Chi begin to heal over in a wave of positive energy.

2d6 ⇒ (4, 3) = 7

Marcus finally scores a solid blow with his falcata, lunging through Klorax's chain mail and pressing his advantage- but Klorax recovers swiftly, deflecting Marcus' shield with his own. Debilitated by Chi's hex, Klorax takes two claw slashes from Tun'ada- the red head looks like he is now suffering from his wounds. Chi casts a minor blessing and places it on Marcus, still cackling onimously.

The remaining men under Klorax's command seem determined to fight to the death. The savage hacking at Tun'ada narrowly misses scoring a wounding blow, while the remaining savage facing Savarend makes a clumsy blow with his scimitar; taking a careful step away from Savarend into the grease Ambroze laid down. The remaining savage uses the opening to hurl a javelin at the monk, gawping in awe as the Dwarf strikes the Javelin to the ground mid flight.

Round Five:
Disappointed by the ineffectiveness of his previous spell - and seeing that the cannibals have chosen to move away and throw javelins instead - Ambroze dismisses the slippery substance to give Savarend a clear path to the savages. At the same time, the scholarly gnome continues to offer words of advice as he steps up next to the dwarf, shortsword held menacingly before him.

Your Humble Narrator

Wow, full update while I slept.

With another sickening crunch, Savarend snaps another neck in his stride towards the main battle. Gwenyth continues to heal the castaways, the wave of energy not quite as potent as before. Marcus lands a well executed falcata blow, his blade landing on Klorax with the force of an axe; clearly doing a great deal of damage. The shield bash is completely ignored by the tough barbarian, but one of Tun'ada's claws cuts through the armour, aided once more by Chi's evil eye hex. Chi attempts to put a slumber hux upon Klorax, but he shakes it off with ease despite the growing intensity if his wounds.

1d20 + 8 ⇒ (14) + 8 = 22 Will save success

Seeing as javelins proved to be somewhat useless against the dwarf, the cannibal moves back into melee with him scimitar drawn. He looks nervous and doesn't seem to think much of his chances; and he keeps glancing at the trapdoor by the firepit. Clearly spurred on by whatever he saw, he launches a furious, all-out attack; its ferocity overwhelming Savarend's defence and slashing his rusty blade across Savarend's chest. The savage gives up on trying to kill Tun'ada, instead doing his best to ward off your blows at his leader with his scimitar (successful aid another test gives Klorax +2 AC).
