It looks like the Hadanka will need to make the save as well when he enters into combat?
Liminy Spickett
|
The brown square under it on the map. Those 4 squares are greased. And 16 fails so he is prone. +4 to attacks against him, -4 to his attacks. He can stand up on his turn without a problem (though it provokes aoos) but if he trues to move he'll need an Acrobatics check.
| Terevalis Unctio of House Mysti |
It does it does have combat reflexez
He makes his AoO on the barbarian
1d20 + 8 - 4 ⇒ (20) + 8 - 4 = 24
1d20 + 8 - 4 ⇒ (3) + 8 - 4 = 7
no confirm
1d6 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4
I want to make sure I am reading the entry correctly, it says with a longsword +1 and then +2 with slams but I am reading that as a double attack and this one is not using weapons only its slams
Liminy Spickett
|
I had to check around on this one. The answer for normal Faceless Stalkers is that since nothing grants it extra attacks then without a sword it can only use a single Slam attack but that it would be as a primary attack so the attack bonus would be +5 higher and would add 1 and 1/2 it's str bonus instead of 1/2 as a secondary attack. However the people I asked knew it was this scenario and mentioned this Faceless Stalker is unique so it might be different somehow. But default 1 attack with a more powerful slam. This does mean he can use grab on that aoo but if he succeeds he gains the grappled condition. (-4 dex, -2 to attack rolls)
| Terevalis Unctio of House Mysti |
Ya, this is kind of confusing. I appreciate all of your help
Grapples 1d20 + 11 - 4 ⇒ (15) + 11 - 4 = 22
Looks like he is able to grapple the barbarian for 1 Con drain
Liminy Spickett
|
You are welcome. The Con drain is at the end of it's turn, Assuming it is still alive. A few people attacked it after it went prone and you should account for those and if it is still alive let us know who's turn it is.
Liminy Spickett
|
Ok so Hádanka got grabbed and can't use a 2 handed weapon in a grapple. Snowball hit for 4 dmg, Garn Wildshaped, Liminy cast Grease and it failed, Ragnar tried a touch spell and missed still holding the charge, Gorak gets a turn, Then Evarice again, Then baddy who is prone and grappling Hádanka (-6 AC total).
Gorok Legbreaker
|
Gorok rises from his seat to attack. Seeing the greasy floor, he makes a rare smart choice and decides to go around, pulling his greataxe before he moves. With a great roar, he brings his axe down on the enemy.
greataxe, rage, power attack, flank, prone, sneak: 1d20 + 8 + 2 - 1 + 2 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 8 + 2 - 1 + 2 + 4 = 22 for 1d12 + 11 + 3 + 3 + 1d6 ⇒ (8) + 11 + 3 + 3 + (1) = 26 slashing, magic damage.
| Terevalis Unctio of House Mysti |
Battling the creature as best they can, by making it slip and then slashing at it with a few weapons, the resourceful beast is able to grapple the barbarian and suck his blood
ROUND 2
Evarice
Baddy
Liminy
Gorok
Hadanka
Garn: turning into dino
Ragnar
_Snowball_
|
With the creature on the ground, it makes an easy target for Snowball who bites and claw into in fury.
bite, prone: 1d20 + 8 + 4 ⇒ (10) + 8 + 4 = 22 for dmg: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6
claw, prone: 1d20 + 8 + 4 ⇒ (14) + 8 + 4 = 26 for dmg: 1d3 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5
claw, prone: 1d20 + 8 + 4 ⇒ (10) + 8 + 4 = 22 for dmg: 1d3 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5
Garn Harlardorn - animal form
|
Garn, in his dinosaur form, similarly takes a short hop next to the creature, his two rear talons clacking ominously on the marble floor when he lands. Almost immediately, the two evil-looking talons rip into the creature, followed by a bite of his sharp teeth and a quick rake across its body with his foreclaws.
talon, PA, prone: 1d20 + 9 - 1 + 4 ⇒ (16) + 9 - 1 + 4 = 28 for dmg, PA: 1d8 + 6 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 6 + 2 = 16
talon, PA, prone: 1d20 + 9 - 1 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 9 - 1 + 4 = 20 for dmg, PA: 1d8 + 6 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 6 + 2 = 10
bite, PA, prone: 1d20 + 9 - 1 + 4 ⇒ (9) + 9 - 1 + 4 = 21 for dmg, PA: 1d6 + 6 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 6 + 2 = 12
foreclaws, PA, prone: 1d20 + 4 - 1 + 4 ⇒ (19) + 4 - 1 + 4 = 26 for dmg, PA: 1d4 + 3 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 3 + 2 = 9
Evarice Bue
|
Evarice sees the creature is prone, so she emerges from the pews with her Glaive, ready to strike...
Glaive +1: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (13) + 5 = 18
Damage: 1d10 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7
| Terevalis Unctio of House Mysti |
The creature drains one more Con from the barbarian but the volley of attacks from the party are enough for the druid and companion to finish him off.
PFS CORE - Hádanka

-2 con drain
HP: 17/21
Ouch! Garn would you please activate this for me. Hadanka proffers his wand.
wand CLW 1st charge: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2
wand CLW 2nd charge: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
-2 con drain

Evarice wipes the sweat from her brow. "Goodbye. We'll tell your master that you inconvenienced up slightly." She looks at Hádanka. "My apologies, I won't be able to help you with that health drain today. Tomorrow Shelyn can help me."
She turns to the other followers. "How long has... he was a master of disguise, yes?" Evarice carefully studies the crowd. The last thing she needs is another Faceless Stalker.
Sense Motive: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (11) + 6 = 17
Garn Harlardorn - animal form
|
Garn is going to stay in dinosaur form as it last for a few hours. So no more conversation from him. Not that was much from this strong silent type in the first place... :)
With the combat over, Garn gingerly picks up one of the wands that he drop earlier with his mouth, brings it over to Liminy and drops it into his hand, then starts gesticulating with his snout towards himself and Snowball.
Liminy, with your spellcraft, a simple spellcraft will reveal it's a wand of mage armor. Basically, Garn is asking you to activate it on himself and Snowball.
That done, Garn does the same with the other wand he dropped earlier, this time bringing it to Evarice. However, for this, he simplies points his snout at Evarice belt, indicating to her to keep it for now.
In case Garn or Snowball gets injured, please use his own wand. Thanks.
Hadanka, sorry I forgot to drop my scroll of lesser restoration, and now I can't access it.
Garn then paces over to Snowball, and with some snarling and waving of his front claws, enchants the natural attacks of his faithful companion.
Cast Greater Magic Fang on Snowball, via Natural Spell.
Liminy Spickett

"His health has been drained from him. Such wounds can't be healed by low powered spells such as Lesser Restoration. You will need a powerful divine caster and a decent amount of diamond dust to heal that."
After delivering the bad news Liminy will use the wand of Mage Armor on Garn and Snowball.
Liminy will cast Detect Magic and examine the body. He'll also search it in homes of clues to the identity of the master.
Perception: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (8) + 10 = 18
Evarice Bue

"Oh! You want me to... use this?" Evarice inspects the wand Garn hands her. "Oh, I see, this will help with basic injuries. Thank you." [i]I've never spoken to a dinosaur before, but..."[/b]
Turning to Liminy, she resigns herself to the facts. "Yes, you're right. If it's truly that bad we will find a temple in Oppara and ask for the help of a powerful priest there. I'm certain there is a temple of Shelyn around here." She shrugs. "Sorry, I'm biased a bit."
Turning back to the crowd, she looks for the leader. "You've been compromised. You can't stay here any longer. Do you have another hideout? Can you leave the city for a bit?"
Liminy Spickett
|
If you missed the discussion thread, There may be hope yet. Despite being called Blood Drain it may just be ability damage. And Liminy has a scroll with Lesser Restorations on it. We need confirmation from Terevalis on if it is damage/drain.
Liminy Spickett
|
"Hádanka looking at you I think I misspoke, The creature's power was not as strong as I feared."
Liminy pulls out his lesser Restoration scroll.
"If Everice would do the honers I think we can get you back to full fighting shape. After that we have some people to rescue."
Evarice Bue
|
Evarice takes the scroll. "Please Shelyn, grant me the power to restore what was taken from Hádanka!"
Lesser Restoration: 1d4 ⇒ 2
"I....I think that did it. Thank you, Liminy."

"It was already here. A wolf in sheep's clothing. Chalfon Dalsine has the antiquities we need. And may know where the other surviving cultists are being held. We should find him quickly."
| Terevalis Unctio of House Mysti |
Once the PCs have dealt with the
Akkuret, the Dawnflower Blossoms cultists are quite
upset, knowing that their entire organization has been
compromised. They thank the PCs once again and inform
them that they are no longer safe here and that they will
hire a ship this evening and flee the city. They decline
any further help, stating that the PCs have already done
more than enough.
| Terevalis Unctio of House Mysti |
Charito, one of the female human cult members, has
gotten very nervous and seems to be hiding something.
If confronted, she breaks down in tears and falls to
her knees, begging not to be killed. If shown mercy,
she reluctantly confesses that she knows who Chalfon
Dalsine is, and states that she hadn’t mentioned anything
until now because she was afraid the other Dawnflower
Blossoms wouldn’t trust her. She truthfully confesses
that she knew nothing of the attack, and that she worked
as a chambermaid for a woman who was having an affair
with Chalfon last year. She can give the PCs some very
basic information about Chalfon from the introduction
(such as his being the black sheep in the family, and the
fact that he only returned to Taldor a few years ago). More
importantly, she knows where his manor home is located
in Senate’s Hill, and can give the PCs detailed directions
to the manor.
| Terevalis Unctio of House Mysti |
Treasure:
The Sarenites had to leave most of their
possessions behind during the initial attack, but the
survivors present the PCs with their few remaining
treasures before the Pathfinders depart. In all tiers, this
includes a potion of lesser restoration, a potion of Cure Moderate Wounds and an illuminated
Kelish manuscript of key passages from Sarenrae’s most
holy text, The Birth of Light and Truth, worth 150 gp.
Evarice Bue

Can we use the potion of Lesser Restoration instead of Liminy's scroll?
Sense Motive: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (3) + 6 = 9
"As you wish. Good luck to all of you." Evarice turns to her companions. "We need to find Dalsine's manor, and quickly. We should end this tonight."
Ragnar Foehammer

But apparently we can't roll above an 8 to save our bacon...
You know what, fuggeddaboutit. I'm using my re-roll. I own a shirt. I have 4 stars.
Sense Motive: 1d20 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (13) + 1 + 2 = 16
Ragnar suddenly steps over to one of the female cultists. "You. Girl. You know something you're not saying, don't you. Speak up, girl!" He pokes her with each sentence until she talks. You can all read the spoiler!
Garn Harlardorn - animal form
|
And uh, you can just take 10? :) But oh well, let me roll, too!
sense motive: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (6) + 9 = 15
Garn sniffs the air in the direction of the girl, and paces over to her. He pushes his snout at her repeatedly, and growls, as Ragnar moves over to her as well.

I didn't think Sense Motive was one of the things you could take 10 on normally.
Giving her a stern look, More trusting we would be if you had volunteered the information when asked. I will ask you others to ensure she does not communicate with anyone that might betray either of our groups.
After a moments thought, he speaks with the rest of his group, I think we should proceed rapidly to Chalfon's estate. I would guess the Master of that 'thing' is either Chalfon or located on Chalfon's estate. They seem to be working together too closely for anything else. Do any of you know if the Master will be able to tell the 'thing' is dead?
Is anyone else injured or can we set off immediately?
| Terevalis Unctio of House Mysti |
In a play by post I think it is easier to put all the relevant information as a spoiler rather than wait until everyone rolls, especially this close to the end
Evarice Bue

"Charito, no one's going to kill you. Thank you for your information." She gives the woman a comforting hug. "One of Saranae's principles is redemption, yes? Confess more of your stories to the Dawnflowers here. Everyone has suffered hardship in one way or another."
Evarice turns to her companions. "Let's make haste. I think you were the only person injured, Hádanka." She smiles. "Glad to see you're feeling better."
Onward, to Senate's Hill!

"Ah, no, Gorok. Not these legs. Maybe if Dalsine refuses to come quietly, we may have to threaten to break his legs. Clearly you enjoy playing bad cop..."
