as you can tell, because of my 1337 Photoshop skills, the one door at the end of the divided hallway is a one way door. It's locked, and you can't seem to open it. There is no key or handle on this side of the door.

You open the door to the next room. This small chamber is mostly empty, save for the body of a villager sprawled in the center. Perched atop the body is a large beetle. It begins to click in rapid succession when you enter the room.

"Work together!" Sarephta yells. The aasimar is quick to charge into combat, and lunges at the creature with her longspear.
Attack: 1d20 + 5 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 5 + 2 = 14 for damage: 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 12 vs. flat-footed AC since beetle hasn't acted yet.

The beetle tries to deal with the spell

At the same time as Sarephta tries to shanks it with her longspear. However, the beetle is not built to be quick, it's built to take a beating, and the spear skips along its exoskeleton.

Gorwyn and Conflaviel, morningstars in hand, both rush forward to engage the beetle. Conflaviel is able to get an attack in this round; Gorwyn isn't, so uses his second move to get closer to a flanking position.

Maldrek-You know this is a giant bombardier beetle. Its a vermin that lives pretty much anywhere. It's immune to mind effects, and can vomit acid occasionally. You're magic missiles pound into the side of this thing.
Conflaviel hits the beast hard and in between two of its armored plates, and due to the hex, you hear the pop you'd expect to occur when you hit smack the beast and bust something internally.
The beetle skitters broken to a corner, and then unleashes a torrent of acid from its mouth. Gorwy, Conflaviel, and Sarephta REF save DC 13 for half of this damage acid cone: 1d6 ⇒ 1

Zhoron follow up with a maniacle laugh as he feels the hex take hold and combine with the previous hex.

She stabs at the creature with her longspear, hoping to end the threat.

Gorwyn and Conflaviel both try to help Sarephta search. Conflaviel, however, is distracted by the thought that his very nature is probably going to change soon....

You open the door to the remains of a small fire smoldering in the center of this broad chamber, letting out a plume of oily smoke. Fed by a heap of burning gear, debris, and more than few bones, the fire casts a flickering light across the walls of this room, partially obscured by the veil of smoke.

Sarephta inches forward. Standing at a distance, she tries to fish the dagger out of the fire with her longspear.
She also looks for anything else of interest in the room, wary of a trap.

As Sarephta inches into the room filled with choaking smoke, she sees the shadows dance on the walls. One of them doesn't dance like it should. Then it advances on her, leaping into three dimentions as he comes at her.
