Ronen Carst
Heeding Cairenn's wisdom Ronen sheathes his blade and removes the crossbow from his back.
Move action: sheathe sword
Standard action: grab crossbow
"Cairenn is there any chance these creatures will make for the island?"
DM Grimmy
I moved everyone's tokens to the island.
Round 1 - Water Elementals
As Uurnir and Ares and Lilia prepare to disembark the raft, the elementals converge, trying to capsize them.
vs CMD
Capsize: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5
Capsize: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (10) + 3 = 13
Lilia Stinsen is thrown from the raft...
Reflex Save: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (15) + 3 = 18
But she recovers her footing at the bank of the island.
Ares Valorn
Round 2
Ares climbs down the from the raft and draws his sword and shield, then yells "We made it to land guardians, now by muirs worn sheath leave us be and you can guard for another day."
Diplomacy?:1d20 + 9 ⇒ (8) + 9 = 17
Lilia Stinisen
Round 2
Lilia quickly scampers onto the island. She again prepares to blast the first unfriendly creature she sees with her magic missile.
Move action-depart raft. Standard action-ready action to cast spell as I assume last round's spell didn't trigger.
Cairenn Bell
Round 2
Relieved that Lueck is on solid ground again, Cairenn makes a face at Ronen's question. "I cannot say! They would no doubt prefer to fight in water than on land, but if they are angry enough or charged to attack any who come near, surely they will pursue."
Stop bardic performance
Cairenn moves a few feet to be on the far side of the little islet, bow clutched at the ready if either elemental comes to land or attacks.
"Can we draw the little raft safely up onto the ground? Priscilla, how much effort is required to pull those levers? I have 50' of string-- we might run across the little bridge to land, and tug the other lever by string, if it will hold..."
Readied action to shoot at either elemental if they attack
Readied Bow: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 12 Guessing that would miss regardless of anything
Priscilla Springheel
"Normally none at all, What will be difficult is the fact it looks like only one level can be used at a time. Atleast for the causeways haven't tried the portcullis one."She taps her chin as she looks at the device the two causeways and the portcullis. She examined a few theories in her head before she spoke up.
"The walkways seem to atleast last long enough for one or two people to get across. Once across then the next goes so on and so forth. We will have to test the string and see but it sounds solid enough" Priscilla says as she than looks back to the others.
"So who is gonna go over first?"
Ronen Carst
Round 2
"Cairenn help Priscilla solve the riddle of the levers. The rest of us will guard you two. Let us not stir the creatures any further. We do not need to waste our resources. From the looks of this cavern we might have much to explore"
Loading a quarrel onto his crossbow he shouts up to the caretaker,"T'Salix you have a decision to make. Return to the surface and pray that the wilves or something do not catch your scent or descend and trust that we can protect you from the creatures."
Move Action: Load crossbow
Lueck
Round 2
Lueck fumbles ashore, and then struggles to get his longspear free from its bindings. At Ares words, he pauses to see if the elementals will indeed relent, or if he needs to fight them.
Move action to ready spear, ready action to stab at anyone that comes into reach and attacks an ally.
He mumbles to no one in particular "Sorry, that rope climb was tougher than I thought."

Round 2 - Water Elemental Guardians
The water elementals converge on T'Salix, slamming him with crimson waves.
Slam: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (6) + 5 = 11
Slam: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (13) + 5 = 18
Damage: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8
Everyone with readied attacks, it's your call whether this counts as a trigger. Lilia, ditto for round one when they tried to capsize the boat. That could count as an attack and trigger your magic missile, your call. Let me know.
DM Grimmy
Round 3 Go!
The huge dragon femur levers look and feel on the heavy side to pull with the twine, probably a DC 15 dexterity check to pull it off.
The elementals seem as though they are going to harass anyone in the water, which probably includes people crossing on the causeways! But they don't seem keen to clamber up on the island at the moment.
Let's stay on turn based initiative for this.
Lilia Stinisen
Round 3
Lilia chooses not to waste her waning magic on the awful half orc. She would protect she and her friends, not the groundskeeper. She prepared to cast her spell if the elemental's pursued one of the group. If not, she would wait while the others figured out those levers.
Cairenn Bell
Round 3
"Oh damn it," Cairenn mutters, as he sees the elementals go for the half-orc. T'salix has some unsavory views but he doesn't think the fellow deserves to be pummeled to death when they did force him to come along, so...
His first shot goes awry. Cairenn does not waste another arrow after it, but instead begins to shout encouragement.
"Loose shaft! Strike deep!
"Sunder living waves!
"For there's further fate awaiting
"Then an end in wat'ry graves!"
Start performance, +1 to hit/+1 to damage.
For Cairenn, at least, the levers are going to have to wait.
Ronen Carst
Round 3
Finding no space along the shoreline he holds his shot.
"Lilia step back and hold your magic we may need to destroy these creatures if we want to cross the bridge safely. Take my crossbow I will use My Lady's blade against them but will need to trade places with you."
Removing his quiver he holds out the crossbow and quiver to Lilia.
Lilia Stinisen
"Many thanks, Ronen. I was too wasteful with my magic in the graveyard earlier. I'll try to do better in the future. Assuming there is one," she says with a smirk, taking the weapon and holding it up to fire at any approaching elemental's.
DM Grimmy
Guys we do simple initiative, remember? You don't have to wait for a particular count to go among your team mates, everything just resolves in the order posted.
Round 3
Lilia (ready magic missile)
Cairenn (Bardic performance)
Ronen (gave crossbow to Lilia, drew sword)

Water Elementals <<<<
Lueck, Uurnir, Priscilla and Ares haven't gone yet in round 3
I'm not botting or delaying anyone yet because it's the weekend ;)
Urrnir Drahaenn
b-b-b-but
Let's stay on turn based initiative for this.
;_;
Round 3
Seeing that the half-orc was in imminent danger Urrnir curses under her breath. "We never should have brought him, he's too much of a liability." she complains. Regardless she wades back into the water, albeit only ankle-dip, and attempts to aid the unfortunate caretaker.
Kinda hard to tell from the map. If T'Salix is within my reach I'm gonna try and pull him out of the water on my turn. If not I'll fire an arrow at one of the elementals to distract it.
Attack Roll: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5
Damage: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3
DM Grimmy
Right, lol. I meant we'll stay on initiative for this cave exploration phase since there are hostiles on the board, rather than ending the combat and going back to freeform exploration mode :) But we're still doing initiative the way we always have. LOL hopefully you get what I mean now. Sorry I didn't explain that better.
The little green "x" thingy is supposed to be T'Salix.
So you can reach him, Urrnir, but you'll provoke an AoO dragging him up.
DM Grimmy
AoO vs Urrnir: 1d20 + 5 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 5 + 1 = 14
As Uurnir draws T'Salix up to the island, a crimson wave crashes into her, but it breaks up harmlessly when it collides with her strong shoulder.
T'Salix flaps down on the island sputtering water and reaches for his soggy tobacco pouch.
"I could've climbed up myself," he wheezes.
DM Grimmy
Round 3 - Ares
"You man the levers, Miss Springheel! I will be the first to cross!"
Ares crosses the little island and carefully puts one foot in front of the other on the causeway, with the waves lapping his ankles and splashing as high as his knees.
Double move to F17
Moved at half speed so no acrobatics check required.
Cairenn Bell
Round 4
Seeing that the elementals have withdrawn for now, Cairenn hesitantly stops singing. He draws out string from his pack, and makes ready to tie one end around the lever that supposedly controls the gate.
"Ares!" he calls across. "If the gate is raised from our end, have you anything you could use to force it to stay wedged open?"
Priscilla Springheel
" no problem" she says out loud while under her breath."cause not really much i can do to hurt water?"
While the others fought she began to fiddle even more with the levers.
disable device: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (9) + 9 = 18
DM Grimmy
As Ares sets foot on the little bank by the bone portcullis, the ground beneath him begins to glow like embers. He feels heat transferring into his metal equipment at an unnatural rate. His sword, shield, even his spear tips, begin to scald.
Priscilla gets the feeling she is on the right track with working the levers. With a little more work and some luck she should be able to get one to hold while a second one is pulled.
You need two consecutive DC 15's to make it happen Pris. Full round action for each attempt.
DM Grimmy
what Ares sees:
An archway topped by a snarling demonic face at its apex pierces the natural cavern wall ahead. On either side of the face, small but intricately detailed figures carved in the act of fleeing decorate the stone.
A portcullis of fused bones wards against further progress.
Beyond the archway, a wide flagged road slopes downward through a wide tunnel. The sound of tumbling water fills the air.
Lilia Stinisen
Spellcraft 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (6) + 6 = 12
Round Four
With the imminent danger retreating, Lilia decides to not rush into more danger following Ares. She waits and watches Priscilla working on the levers, hoping that the halfling could figure a way that everyone could cross the path toward the open gate.
"If we let Pricilla do her thing, we might be able to get over there in a bit easier fashion. Or, we could all rush ahead and take our chances," she adds with a slight smirk.
Lueck
Round 4
Lueck glances over his shoulder at Cairenn, looking to see what his response to Lilia's suggestion is. Hoping the magical spear has some sort of power against the creatures, Lueck stabs out at the other elemental.
I think I can reach the one on the other side of Urrnir; if it is out of range, please consider this a readied action to strike one coming within range.
To hit 1d20 + 3 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (11) + 3 + 1 + 1 = 16
Damage 1d8 - 1 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (4) - 1 + 1 + 1 = 5
Urrnir Drahaenn
Round 4
When Ares runs across the causeway Urrnir immediately followed. She does her best to cross the expanse nimbly. Regardless of whether or not she agreed with Lilias words her duty to the son of Muir came first.
Acrobatics: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (10) + 7 = 17
Urrnir: Move (Double Move?) Action to follow Ares. Acrobatics to avoid AoO.
DM Grimmy
Lueck there are no opponents around for you to attack at this time. You might be looking at the map in an older state or something, try refreshing your browser tab.
Urrnir, nothing attacks you but I'll apply that acro roll for moving faster than half speed across the causeway.
When Urrnir reaches Ares's side she can see his discomfort as his metal gear heats up. Within an instant the same effect permeates her own metal belongings. The heat is not damaging yet but it is already uncomfortable, and rapidly increasing!
Ronen Carst
Peering across the causeway he watches as Brother Valorn seems to be in some sort of growing discomfort. When the warrior of Freya follows after her charge Ronen does not notice the same discomfort, but chooses to wait while Priscilla attempts to solve the riddle of the levers.
"Brother Valorn what is happening over there you look to be in some discomfort?"
DM Grimmy
Priss it's a full round action for each attempt on the levers, and you have now made three separate attempts all in Round 4 :p
You can save those rolls for when it's your turn again.
Round 4 - T'Saalix
The half-orc rolls soggy tobacco in a soggy tobacco leaf wrapper. The makeshift cigar dangles from the corner of his mouth as he dashes across the causeway.
"Save some of that burning ground for me! I need a light!"
Acrobatics: 1d20 ⇒ 12
As he hurries across without taking enough care, T'Salix slips from the causeway and falls into the channel.
DC 15 Acrobatics check for moving faster than half speed across causeway.
DMG
Round 4 - Water Elemental Guardians
After the half orc splashes around for moment, the telltale sign of a wave cresting beside him appears. This time however, it's wave form breaks... it swirls and forms into a whirlpool with the caretaker caught in it's vortex!
T'Salix Reflex: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4 fail!
At the same time, the second guardian reappears from the waves at the edge of the island where Lilia Stinisen is standing. It splashes up and attempts to pull her down into the waves!
Grapple: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10
But Lilia just barely manages to wriggle free!
Lilia Stinisen
Round 5
Lilia's readied action goes off, and she blasts the elemental that tries to grab her. She then moves to try and get to a center of the dry land, making it harder on e elemental to get her. "Hurry Priscilla...they are coming!"
My readied action roll from a prior post resulted in 4 points of damage.
