I'm assuming my Favored Terrain still counts in the temple, but if it doesn't, subtract two points from my results.
Stealth: 1d20+13
Perception (with low-light vision): 1d20+16
Survival (tracking- half ranger level added): 1d20+12Although the light is almost non-existant, Issac can make out that the church is very bare. There are no signs of a struggle, and no bones or corpses strewn about. A small nest of old cloth and straw shows where Barmy Kank once slept.
Although you have low light vision, there is almost no light in the place. If you want to see more detail, you might have to risk a light
Isaac pulls up his rain hood and winds a handkerchief over his mouth and nose to disguise his features before pulling a sunrod out of his pack and striking it. He keeps the sunrod fairly low to the ground and cups a hand over the side facing the top of the dome, where light may be noticed from above.
It's a futile gesture, but it's worth a shot. You can't douse a sunrod once it's lit, right? You can only stick it into some thick clothing or something to keep it subdued?| Dungeon Monkey |

Yah, reading the entry, there seems to be no turning it off. It doesn't seem to be a hugely glowing thing, so I will assume that due to the commotion outside and the fact that all the windows in the place are closed tight there will be little chance of being seen from the outside ..
Issac pulls the small iron rod from his pack. He strikes it against the floor, its gold tip flaring with a warm yellow light. He can see the church clearly now, and there is no one inside. The only entrance other than the hole he crawled into seems to be the front door. The windows are bricked up, and the walls are stripped bare. The light seems to fade a bit beyond the ring of the sunrod, as if the darkness was eating it. There is a hushed feeling of deep time and quiet here, like ancient things brooding over incidents that occured long eons ago.
Issac casts about, looking for anything of interest. The interior is very bare, only a few small pieces of masonry on the floor. A thick layer of dust coats much of the floor, except where the nest, the hole and the doorway are located. As Issac examines the walls he notes something strange.
Spaced evenly around the walls are six odd stones, incorporated into the structure of the wall. Where most of the building blocks are typical grey granite, these are six-feet-high black-basalitic rectangles, set vertically where the other commoner stones are set horizontally. Issac creeps closer and notes that if he stares hard enough the black stones seem to have a faint greenish glowing pattern etched upon them. It is very faint, like the glow of a lightning bug under a leaf. He gets the feeling that the designs are organic in nature, not carven, but is unsure.

Justin and Merle peek around the corner in time to see two plate-clad guards jangling towards Ekuur in the middle of the street fronting the old church. A few pedestrians are scuttling into doorways or alleyways, obviously keen to stay out of whatever is beginning. Another guard stands by the doors to the church, a fourth is entering the large warehouse nextdoor.

Tentatively, Isaac touches a hand to the odd stones. He tries to think of where it could have come from, what properties it could have and who in Sigil might know more about it, since there seems to be precious little else to turn to for clues.

"Think we could deal with those guards without drawing to much attention to ourselves?" Merle Asks Justin
Unaware of the feline's silent, acidic, urges,... Justin takes in the scene with narrowed eyes, biting his bottom lip. His mouth forms a thin, firm line, and his eyes narrow even further.
"Yes, actually. I think we can,..." Justin answers softly. He makes a swift gesture, and points at Ekuur.
Cast Message (again) just Ekuur and I for now.
'Ekuur, It's Justin! We're here. Keep their attention, but DON'T attack them unless they attack you first! Just keep them guessing for another few moments.' Justin Whispers, his previous casting allowing Merle, Karrin and Swire to hear him as well. As he's whispering, his hands are searching through his pockets rapidly. He grabs two bits of mystic flotsam and begins to gesture.
"One conjured critter, coming right up!" The mage Whispers with a smirk, then begins chanting in time with his movements.

Issac touches the strange stone, and the hairs on his arm tingle and stand up. The rock is smooth, and there seems to be no energy, but he feels like a cockatrice just walked over his grave. The faint lumenescence swirls within the glossy black stone, circles and whorls emerging then fading on the edge of his perception.
Issac has never seen a similar stone. It looks like basalt, but it is smooth and glossy like a fine grade of obsidian. Its surface has a polished satiny sheen. It seems faintly warm to the touch. He casts back over his travels and anything he could think of, but there is nothing that comes to mind similar to these rocks in his experience.

Next door to the church. You guys are several blocks away. There are a few other innocent bystanders, but they are staying well out of the fighting zone. They don't seem to have seen you, or at least they aren't paying attention to you. That might change however ..

| Justin Case |
"I hope your distraction is a big one" Merle says to Justin "Because more of those guards have just turned up" she points them out whilst doing her best to remain unoticed.
Justin's eyes flick sideways towards where Merle is pointing. He continues to chant softly and rhythmically, but he nods, and his whispered chant does seem to be more urgent than before,...
Casting Summon MOnster III, but using it to summon (hopefully) several (3) lvl 2 monsters, Celestial spiders to be precise. Don't expect them to kill the guards, but the webs should keep them busy for a bit. ;P Oh, and I thought that we were closer than what you just said. I had thought we were peeking around the building next to the church!? I just want to have the spiders appear behind the guards, as if they came from the temple.
Justin finally reaches what is obviously the crescendo of his casting, he finishes his final gestures with a flourish, and points towards the church. A ring of glowing symbols flashes briefly, and when it fades, there are 1d3 ⇒ 3 (3! yay!) man-sized spiders with golden glints on the edges of their chitin. The three gold-tinged spiders begin casting webs with a pearlescent sheen at the rapidly-increasing pool of Athar guards. Two miss, but one manages to wrap a guard up with their sticky strands.
The dozen or so guards boiling out of the abandoned-looking warehouse next to the church begin surrounding the celestial arachnids. Several begin to jog up the street towards Justin's position. As Justin takes this in, he sees a large figure emerge from the warehouse.

Faded from sight Drazek dashes across the rooftops at a full run heading towards the guards that spotted Bethany.
They were on the building next to the one you are on. The DC Acrobatics check is 15 to leap the gap.
