Yes, Kerek, by all means do everything that I do. Everything.
Vash, please at least put spells in your stat line. I find it easier to cry "OUCH! OUCH! I IMMEDIATELY REGRET CHARGING THOSE THREE ORCS ARMED WITH NOTHING BUT MY GOOD LOOKS AND A LARGE BANANA!" if I can know at a glance if the healer still has juice left. =)

I spent a reasonable amount of time and effort building my druid but I want to point out that I am new to this and could have easily made errors so please do look at my build with some care.

Spells are in there under the spoiler my dude :)

I will give the best once over I can, when time permits, and get those messages off to each of you so you have some idea how to start interacting with each other and the campaign - but *sheesh* right now I'm overcome with emotion. My daughter is going back to Cambodia this week, and on Friday last week...we bought her wedding dress
We are now planning a February destination wedding on Oahu for her - Yikes!

My youngest is also 25, but I only have 2. Both my kids got good full academic scholarships to in state schools and both earned engineering degrees. Engineer dad is, of course, proud.

Four messages went out to the new player character just moments ago. I hope the three existing player characters are still hanging in there. I will make a post today that introduces the new player characters, but given that I flooded their inboxes with paragraphs of dull information, they might be slow to post in the game, so let's hope all goes well.
Merrum Blaine
Im here, just not sure how to introduce myself.

I might have made a small mistake in the messages I sent out. Though Preacher is confident he is meeting adventurers he has known from his past, he is in fact mistaken, and these three are people that do not recognize him
I apologize for the mistake. I’m sure Preacher will realize his mistake and then things will move a bit better through some introductions
Just to be clear
Preacher and Lilly have known each other for about two to three weeks
Preacher and Lilly, together met Kerak and Merrum only a few days ago
Wylla, Isaiah, and Wolfgang, do not know Lilly, Merrum, Preacher, or Kerak

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh,
forgive my n00bne$$ here, but what's the hook? Are we all on the same mission, or.... If we don't know each other, how are we not just going to say "excuse me" and walk on?
Lilly Wildwood
Lilly would be a little defensive of the woods so near her home so one hook is if she is told someone in the area is casting spells at people she will want to track that person down and "discourage" such behavior in the future.

If anyone is interested, I'm kinda doing a fun little one-off.
Let's get this craziness started.
Lilly Wildwood
Hey all. I am back from my work trip and con. Pretty exhausted (very little sleep at cons for me) and catching up on everything. I hope to have a post up soon. I have a short trip this weekend too and will be gone Friday through Sunday afternoon. But then that's it for trips for a while. Thanks for putting up with my absence.

One thing that quickly trips me up is forgetting that D&D5e uses a very different type of action management than Pathfinder
Please take a moment to review it if you can and remember that outside of Bonus actions that some classes have with specific rules the normal actions available to a character during a round are
Attack
Cast a Spell
Dash
Disengage
Dodge
Help
Hide Ready
Search
Use an object
Movement is sort of treated as something completely different than it is in Pathfinder
Terquem
Very early on, when I started this adventure, I advertised it to players as a "non house ruled - straight D&D5e" game and I want to be sure everyone knows what that means to me
Even though, right now, we see a grid on the combat mount, we are not using grid style combat rules (which are OPTIONAL rules in 5e) but trying to stick to the more "theater of the mind" rules as they are presented in the 5e Player's Handbook
I can remove the grid if it confuses anyone, but basically try to remember that you can just describe where you want your character to go and I will try to fit that into the distances on the map
because we are about to try to do (something I've always wanted to do, but never have pulled it off) a "hide and Seek" kind of combat encounter, we will use the grid to try to keep track of where everyone is

Kerak, using the bonus Cunning Action, to Dash close to the fleeing Elven Woman, complicates the action economy a little bit.
I believe you still have 10 feet of movement left, as part of the entire movement allotment you would have for the round, normal, and then additional 30 feet for the Dash Bonus Action, so you can still choose to Attack this round if you want to - this would move you right next to your double
Drawing Weapons is not talked about in 5e as any kind of "limitation" on character actions in a round.

Checking in. Sorry for my absence. My mother had a mild heart attack and has been in intensive care in the hospital since Tuesday. Little damage to her heart and two stints have cleared any blockage but her blood pressure will not go back up. Until it does she is stuck in the ICU and I am stuck 12 hours a day at the hospital. I hope live is back to normal soon.
Game wise I was unsure if Lilly had used her total turn by moving and smelling. With a move of 50 I hoped she could still attack. ? If she can she will. It hesitate to bide and try to trip the imposter. Posting from phone. Gonna roll attack roll here
Bite: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (19) + 5 = 242d6 + 3 ⇒ (3, 1) + 3 = 7 if that hits then the enemy then it needs a D.C. 13 Strength save or be tripped.

Sorry I've been absent. I just got out of the hospital. I nearly dehydrated myself into some serious trouble. I will try to catch up.

Sorry, I had been waiting to see a callout or something that I was actually up. :/ Sorry!
Lilly, hopefully your mother's health situation improves. My dad has gone through 3 heart attacks, I don't envy you the situation you're in, it sucks something awful.
Merrum, hopefully you get that water in you!
Terquem
Lilly - I hope you are well, and can only hope that things for your mother are improving.
When you have a moment, we sort of need you to clear up a little something for the other player characters
Do you want it established that you have shared with Kerak, Preacher, and Merrum, that changing your form into that of a wolf is something you do on occasion, and they should therefore, be prepared for such a thing?
Lilly Wildwood
She certainly would not hide, and has not hidden the fact that she is a druid and seems quite competent in most druid things. I would think that it would surprise no one when she changes shape. Unless druids would hide their abilities in your world its likely to have come up that she can take the form of many animals.
Terquem
Alright,
For the record, Druids in Alodoa are not secretive (except for a few very important things about their rituals) and most people are familiar with their ways
Lilly, in the few weeks and days she has been travelling with the others (Merrum, Preacher, and Kerak) has mentioned one or two occasions where her shape changing into a wolf help her in a pinch
Lilly Wildwood
totally doc here but would Lilly be expecting the druid this man was pretending to be to be here? Ig so she is going to try to find her. I don't want to have to shift back but have things to ask here... Lets see how this goes.
Wylla 'Opaleye' Spingle
I'll be out of the country and without internet access starting Sunday, October 8th. I'll return to the land of the interconnected living on Sunday, October 15. Between now and the 8th, I'll be very spotty as I get everything ready for the trip. In the interim, please feel free to bot Wylla as needed!
See all y'all in a week or so!

It has been since November 1 since I posted the inside of the house, and a few clues.
Kerak thinks the party is walking
Lilly has made one post
everyone else seems completely uninterested in this part of the game, or is very busy with real life.
I'm not trying to sound grumpy, I know I am a major reason the game moves slowly, but if you don't want to interact with this scene, please post here telling me you want to move on to the next encounter
Terquem
There are literally seven player characters here, and one NPC villain, and it seems no one is willing to risk a post talking to anyone else, like asking, "where do you come from?" or "what brought you here?" or "What do we have in common?" or "Is there something I can help you with?" or
literally anything
I know, I know, I run a slow game, but it really seems like practically no one on these PbP games actually wants to play a Role Playing Game, but only wants to participate in slow PbP tactical combat.
Terquem
If you talk to an NPC I will try to answer your post as quickly as possible
If you interact with the setting, I will try to post as quickly as possible
If you have questions about the setting, where you come from or what your character knows I will answer you as quickly as possible
What I think I see is a lot of players want to play Pathfinder Adventure Paths, where, as a player, they already know everything they need to know cause they've read the adventure, and all they ever need to do is make "knowledge rolls for their characters, so that the adventure moves forward.
Okay, end of me trying not to sound grumpy.

After everyone has had a short rest, the group is sure to tidy up the little home, leaving it as neat and clean as when they found it, and then sets off along the marked trail which leads back into the village of Pawkatukit. The trail at the fork leads northeast, back to the center of the village and becomes a small, but well beaten down dirt road, then a paved road that comes to the cross street of the center of town. From here, the party turns left, going west, toward Chapel Hill, and the Hall of the Solution Society.
That's why I thought we were walking.
The site issues probably sabotaged a lot of people - I know at least one person who told us he was quitting the forums altogether in a game I was in specifically because of them. Some people may not have noticed that they are no longer signed in.
