With the discussion of stealth and disguises Nahia concentrates for a moment has her figure begins to change. Her previously plump cheeks grow sunken, her now hazy eyes surrounded by dark and sallow circles, and her skin blotchy. Similarly, her brightly colored clothes change into a dingy ragged robe stained with old blood and bile, a thin black veil covering most of her face. Looking down at herself, she smiles.

This should pass as a member of a plague cult alright.

Nahia nods at Rose as she reaches into her pack for a book. "Give me a moment to look something up... And your plan isn't a bad idea. Especially if you can lure them in into a trap... You'll need to be ready to make an escape in case anything goes south. And we definitely don't want to let them leave. The last thing we need is them finding and joining forces with those dogs."

Rose changed the appearance of her armor, removing the asmodean heraldry, just making it look less heavy and vaguely sinister and quietly moved through the forest. She took on her "elven forest scout" disguise she'd used back in town.

When she approached the snake-elf and the scouting party she stepped out from behind a tree about a hundred feet from them with her hands up and made a low psst to make sure she got their attention.

When she was allowed to approach, she quietly said "Boy am I glad to see you folks."

@Hound: Again, there's no passage from the third floor to the caves, you need to go up to the sanctum and to reach the sanctum, you need to fly or climb from the third floor.

Rose barely recalled reading about celestial creatures. The half snake woman in front of her certainly fit the tales. The exotic beauty, the golden wings, the clear and crystalline voice that seemed to belongs to angels.

The voice however betray no feeling whatsoever. Rose cannot say if the enemy few for her brief act. Things got even messier when the woman started talking again.
”I won’t ask again.” she said in a cold voice. ”Where’s the guardian of this place?” and as if a hidden command was spoken, all the elfs eight in total ready their bow, preparing to shoot at the half snake woman’s notice.
Sorry about the delay. I'm assuming you guys somehow flew to the sanctum, and took the spiral to the caves. I'm assuming as well that enough time went by, to allow the others to arrive at the caves and gather the boggards, before Rose and Mysty try to con the celestial. Intentions?

Rose blinked and nodded. "Yeah, sure. I was planning on doing that anyway. I'm on your side, you know? Quiet down though, alright? I would really rather they not find out I'm here. I'm already risking blowing my cover as is without the noise. They call themselves the Sons of the Apocalypse. I guess they're trying to revive some old cult that was destroyed by Markadian the Victor."

"They aren't very bright, but some of them are really tough. Their leader's some kind of ghost. He says he's the high priest of the original cult. He has some big winged ogre-thing as his primary enforcer. There's a necromancer too, but I don't see much of her. They're the main trio that run the show. Whatever they did in there made the whole place glow green. I'm betting you saw that? They aren't saying a whole lot about that they're doing, but whatever it is, it's really bad. They already sacrificed one of their own people right in front of everyone. That's what started the whole green glow thing."

"The big guy you met earlier is their mouthpiece to the rest of the cult. He's dumb as a stump. I'm his second in command. The rest are just recruits. I think a lot of them are being blackmailed. They aren't bad people, really. They just don't have much choice. The cult has a lot of people's family captured and kept down in the caverns."

"They're setting up for some kind of big ritual down in the caves. I'm not sure why, but I'm worried they are going to sacrifice a bunch of people at sunset."

Rose looked up at the sky. "So there's not a lot of time, and I can't be seen with you, but I really want to try to get as many people out of those caves as possible."

@Rose and Mysty

While Hound tries to make his way quietly and stealthy as possible towards Rose, the woman tries to sweet talk the half snake celestial woman and her trove of followers. The celestial being hears all of Rose’s history.

More than once the half-snake woman looks at the caves entrance direction, and then, just before Rose’s history ends, she is hovering in midair.

It was a nice try, but the caster knows when the spell fails. However, she is going to investigate the caves, since you kept mentioning it, but she knows Jurak isn't there, since she'd been there before cutting out your supply routes and ambushing boggards.

Mysty fireball explodes near the unsuspecting elfs. Two of them are able to escape the worst of the damage, but still getting badly hurt in the process, the other one, is burnt to a crisp where he was standing.
Waiting Nahia do describe the other part and continue with the game.

Nahia begins an erratic dance, her limbs jerking about, bending in places that have no joints. She starts her chanting Aklo: "Elder ones... spirits from before order... I call to you..." Reaching into her dress, she retrieves a small, dried tentacle. Grasping it in her hand, her chants continue, but her voice cracks and breaks into some unknown tongue. ???: "Ph'nglui mglw'nafh Cthulhu R'lyeh wgah'nagl fhtagn. The tentacle in her hands jerks and begins to plump. Nahia's chant deepens, the sounds no longer matching up with the movements of her jaw. And then her mouth begins to open, revealing nothing but deep blackness. Her mouth continues to open, wider and wider, until half of her face is nothing more than a gaping black maw, the only still part of her rapidly jerking body.

The tentacle wriggles faster and faster, until it escapes her grasp and jumps into the black void, disappearing. Suddenly, her body goes still, her limbs locked into their twisted position. Without warning the blackness separates, revealing a single, large eye of seemingly endless depth. It gazes at the elves off in the distance of the forest.

In a flash the darkness leaps from Nahia's maw, striking the ground and erupting in a shower of writhing tendrils of black shadow that begin to flail and grasp in all directions.

Moving and casting Black Tentacles.

I make a single grapple check each round with a +12 bonus. All in the affected area (or who move into it) are subjected to a grapple against that result. If the check is successful, that person is grappled (-4 dex, -2 on attack rolls/non-grapple CMB, can't move, DC 22 + spell level concentration check to cast spells, can't use two hands, CMD to escape is 22) and takes 1d6+4 damage. If the creature is already grappled, the tentacles get a +5 bonus.

During this time the affected area is considered difficult terrain. The tentacles can not be damaged, though they may be dispelled. The spell will last for 7 rounds. No save or SR.

Tentacle grapple: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (4) + 12 = 16
Grapple Damage: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9

I've marked the affected area on the map.

Nahia's body goes limp for a moment before shifting back into a normal semblance of a human form, her new joints disappearing with the sickening sound of cracking bones. The gaping maw closes and Nahia's face is back to normal, though it is hard for her to hide the chill that runs through her body.

Stupid elves dodging my Cthulian tentacles and then flying like it's nothing... pouts

And sorry all, but I've got nothin'. My spell layout was prepped for those dogs an close range combat, not this distant archer crap. Seren is in a similar boat.

Nahia grimaces as Grumblejack takes to the skies and Hound barely manages to fall out of the air.

Do I follow after them? I... I could... but what use would I be? And we're all sitting ducks against those arrows... If only we could get them in close... what... can they be that stupid.

Nahia shouts in a raspy voice "They're flying! Everyone, fall back! We must protect the caverns! If they find Hears-The-Father before his ritual is complete then all is lost!"

Please be dumb enough to fall for that. Please!

Speak and delay? And feel free to roll a bluff for me to lure them back to the caverns...
