With no threats about he begins to search the bodies collecting gear and weapons, digistructing them into the artifact on his lower back. He keeps his ears open and takes his time picking through the bodies and making sure they are dead.

"Pretty much." Velden says to the fox man. "Officially, the town will not condone it. What you do in your own homes, not my problem. But I don't see any reason to make a big spectacle out of it either, if you want to do stuff like that." He shrugs. "Again, your own skin though. I'm gonna do everything I can to make sure there's no plate for me to end up on."

He looks down to the security guard. "We'll come up with something later for punishment for breaking the law on the cannibalism. Community service or something. As for the former mayor, he can do whatever he wants, as long as he doesn't disrupt the community. If he's broken any laws, then, of course you should arrest him."

Then he turns to look at the black truck and the man in the doorway. "If you're entering the city, you'll need to disarm, you'll get your weapon back afterwards. Once you're known to be safe, you can keep your weapon. The sheriff will lock it up nice and safe. Vehicle stays outside the gates. No room to park it anyway."

"An interesting decision considering." He says more to himself than anything. Stepping back into his truck and closing the door. He steps out without any apparent weapon on him and begins to walk to the gate.

"It is how it is." He says finally. "If anyone needs stitching up, I'll be in the white shop with the red door. Remember, first limb reattachment is free this week."

Stitches sighs and turns away, walking back to his shack. He pauses enough to flip the sign on the outside so it says "ThE DOctrR iz iN" in letters taken from various scavenged signs. He slips back into the shack through a loose panel and then unlocks the front door.

Another ration day. Stitches will wash his hands and try to eat something before he gets any customers. He isn't sure if anyone will actually come speak to him, he did let his hunger get the best of him, but he'd have to deal with it if something comes of it.

Velden watches the ratfolk head off, and when he's gone, he sighs. "Sheriff, when the sun comes up tomorrow, I'll be going out to do a little hunting for skag, it looks like we've been having food problems. Can you pull together what the town has in the way of water and food, and we'll see if we can't figure something out about a greenhouse to supplement food, and organized skag hunts for meat. If anyone wants to go hunting too, tell them to let me know tonight. Only people who are already hunters for now, I'll worry about training people after we're more stable."


Taunk stand up from his cover and walks a few paces, holding his hands out in disappointment. "So, what? We're just done now?" he asks the deserted battlefield "You're just gonna leave me alone with these folk?"

"Sheriff? Any accomodations? Abandoned houses? Inns? Spas? 5 Star French Cuisine?" Velden snorts, not expecting much more than abandoned houses.


"Well Mayor Velren, there is the ex-mayor in your mansion. No one lives in the tower really not much room in there. That is the cobbler's house, Stitches has claimed that house, the shop is open for the most part just the two vending machines in there. McCarmick has his house also. I live in the sheriff's office but we haven't had one in well... I don't ever remember us having a sheriff." He says rather matter of factly a bit unsure of himself.

He looks around and then goes to the front gate. "The name is Five, will you open the gate please. Perhaps some of you came in regards to the bounty posting?"

"I see Sheriff, is the mayor's mansion something that goes with the job, or was it his place before he got the job?" Velden asks, and looks at the town from the wall. He shrugs. "We need to expand apparently. How many will fit in the tower? Any of those ruined houses good enough to repair?"

He turns to the refugees from the landing pod. "Any of you lot trained in building?"

Then looking down at Five, he shrugs. "Sure, as I said, leave your weapon with the Sheriff." He nods at the sheriff to let the man in.


"Most of the buildings are merely scrap put together using claptrap's skills. Yes the mayor's mansion goes with the job though who knows what Abe will do. Four can stand on the top of the tower but only two can really fit in the base of the tower. Lodging though the buildings could hold the lot of you even without using the mansion. The mansion should hold most of you nicely as well." The guard says, then realizes something, "Wait are you promoting me to Sheriff?"

He goes over and opens the gate putting his hand on the scanner. He extends his hand waiting for the newcomer to give him a weapon.

Five walks in and looks at the guard then he smiles. He grabs a kukri, then a dagger, his revolver, bow, and a pair of bolas. Of course he gives them to the newly promoted Sheriff one at a time and the boy has five trips in total before Five just walks into the center of Radiator Ridge.

Looking around until he finds what he is looking for, the bounty board. He walks over hits it a few times. Puts in a few chips to fix the problem and reconnects the power. Then the vid screen pops up and he scrolls through the options. Double clicks his posting and waits a few moments before deleting it.

"Bounty? Sounds fun and profitable. Where do in sign up?"

Sledj tosses Pork Chop towards the Doctor House and follows Chitwick in. Once behind closed doors; "So, you can finish pat hing me up? And maybe wanna share some meat?"


"Eh? Building? No, not me. I ain't planning on stickin' around that long." says Taunk loudly as he gathers his remaining belongings. His armor melts away leaving him in just the dusty prison clothes he had been put in for the trip. Luckily there was a pair of leather overalls among his things that he was able to slip on for a more normal appearance.

Afterwards he follows the strange elf inside the gates of the shanty. He rubs his chin when he spots the bounty board and asks "What's this, job board of some kind? You lookin' for work?"


Male Ratfolk Alchemist 1

Stitches gestures to the operating table. "Put the bandit there." He instructs, "And have a seat here, I'll take a look at you."

Stitches will look over Sledj and assess his injuries.

Heal: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (7) + 9 = 16

Stitches will "aha" and "hmm..." and then nod to himself. "Yep." he says. "Just a bit banged up."

Stitching up: 1d20 + 9 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 9 + 4 = 21 (+4 Healer/Surgeon's kit)
That will recover 3 Hit Points for you.

After he's done stitching closed the wounds, he hands him a vial.
"What's the saying? Take this and call me in the morning?" he says. "Wait. Don't call me, I don't do phones."

I would love to hunt together with you Mr. V but the last time i went hunting for food around here, the locals said that i was too good! Apparently my "Explosively Prepared CharSkag" was too well done for their delicate tastes. They have no idea what their missing...

So i will stick around here, however there is much work to do! Claptrap says in a perfectly happy voice, then again he always has a cheery voice...

The warehouse is MINE! Note that if you decide to take up accomidations with me, i snore at night. Loudly. I got this great recording of the Mayor one night. I hear its supposed to put you right to sleep. But i wouldnt know, I have never slept before! Would you like to hear it?

And i am very good at building and repairing housing units! I havnt made made one explode in over a week! Well, time to get to work,so much to do!!
And with that the little yellow robot takes off to the wearhouse/shed (with the gourd still on his head like a hard hat) and dissapears inside.
While i figure out what i am going to do next :)

the large blood orange colored canine that accompanies the furry humanoid begins sniffing you as you ask this, and if you stay still long enough sticks it's tongue out to lick you.


Aannra had been sitting in the tuck the whole while Five had done his thing, his orders, stay put incase she needed to drive them off fast. She had been with him for sometime, he driver and de-facto bodyguard after Velden had gone stop side on some paid job. Not that Five needed her to do this, but he had found her other things to do, like that fat slaver she and taken to task a week ago. Five was good at find bad guys who did bad things to girls, she liked that. She was old now, 48 days old, most combat replicants did not last more than 6 days in a MZ like this, so 48 was good, she may even make it to half a year.

The drive down had been ok, now the bandits where heading off. Once at the gage five had headed off to check his posting and what was going on in the small pit of a town. She had taken her time to picked up and pack her things and then headed after him. At the gate she just phazed past it and ran up to Five and the posting board.

"So what now Five, do you think Velden made it down safe? I think I spotted him, be good to see him again, I like his jokes?"

Description
She's an odd looking thing, A lot like five, an elf with long white hair and white skin like him, in fact she could be his sister. She stands some 5'10, slight build and seeming to move fast and with inelven grace. She has on a pear of tech-Shades that cover her eyes. She has on a simple combat jump suit and pack, Strapped to her right leg is an odd looking pistol, in one boot is a Combat Knife. Other than that she has no other weapons that can be seen.

then in a odd voice the weapon says back

"Command one order executed"

The weapon powers down.

"See safe mode"

She smiles as if every thing is fine now, then pops it back in her holster and walks off not waiting for him, She calls out

"Velden! Velden! Are you safe, well, not dead?"

She starts moving around looking a bit worried, calling his name as she go's.

Five looks at Sledj, and responds to him, "a bandit who looks for more reputable work? Well you can select any of the jobs. Some are time sensitive as others just need to get done."

Then he tells Taunk, "No I had a bounty up but no one showed up. I was planning on clearing out Firestone of bandits, you interested?"

With Aannra's appearance he just points at Velden.


Bounty Board in Radiator Ridge:

Food stores are low - Bring 3 fresh dead scag bodies to the Cobbler's house.
Reward: new pair of boots, a thunderstone, and 23 sp

Purging of Fyrestone - kill all bandits in Fyrestone.
Reward: 25 gp, and 3 sp for each bone relic off the bandits.

We be goblins - find the goblin caves near Radiator Ridge. Bonus take care of the threat.
Reward: fire sword, 10 gp. Bonus: 5 gp each crystal staff recovered.

The guard takes weapons and locks them in the tower. He looks at Aannra with a weird look but lets her keep the blaster.


"Velden!!"

She runs over to so fast literally jumps on him with a leg and arm rapping hug, holding him tight she says

"Velden your safe, I felt bad when you left, I did not like that feeling, please do not let me feel that again"

That said she lets him go, drips to the ground and standing, spins around looks at the others there. She whispers from the side of her mouth.

"O new faces, who are they, do we trust them?"

She looks at them with beady eyes checking out each one

Velden sighs. "Annarra, we're in public. You should show some restraint. And don't look at me. I told Five I wasn't interested in his jobs anymore if he wasn't going to play things straight up. That last little 'job' of his cost a lot of people their lives." He waves off the Sheriff. "She's unlikely to start a fight." Although the tone of voice says he's warning her not to.


She looks sideways at Velden a little hurt, its hard to tell if it was his comment on doing things in public or her not killing anyone that hurt her.

Then she perks up,

"O the ever.. thing, or what ever halls caves thing place, that was ages ago, me have Five have had lost of fun since then. But yep lot of deaded, remember the big crazy guy and the little green man, deaded. I felt sorry back then. But now I feel fine! and we lived!. Also don't forget it was A lot! of fun. Poow Poow and BOOM! lots of BOOMS"

She makes her hand into a gun shape for the Poow Poow parts and opens her hands for the booms to show just how big they where.

Then notes the half orcs and skips over to the two of them with five.
saying back to Velden
"they crazy like the other big fellow was."

She asks them directly

"Hay are you crazy like him, all chopping killing and talking to others in your own head? because that was funny, that made me laugh."

She walks around them looking them over.

Chop off my hands and rip out my teath while you're at it, I assure you, I'm just as deadly without the thing,


She side steps and skips to Sledj moving with more than elven grace.

"Is that, you crazy mad like the big man was"

She smile at him as she says this.

As the foxfolk talks Aannra skips over to him,

I take it this is a fresh start for your PC then if not just add in she should know him

Finished with preparing the meat, Sledj begins to mix up another mutagen (+Str/-Int).

"See it's like the little green boomer and the Big crazy all rolled into one, can we keep him, hu, pleasesss, prrrritty Pleasess"

Then smiling she seems to have an idea, in a rush but with some ease she scoots up the water tower.

Once she's up, Aannra pulls out from her small pack a Monocular and looks the the bandits went.

"Looks all clear"

Aannra:
This is a new timeline, some things have changed and some connections no longer exist. For example, I was born (well, created) off world, I only know of Velden from briefly working on the same starship, there is no connection between me, balto or velden anymore (although Velden and Balto came in on the same ship, so maybe something) and I don't think Five has any reason to know us :)

While Claptrap wouldn't have a vote, I would like to go for the Firestone quest or the Goblin caves quest. Also, for "tonight", Claptrap probably won't go on Veldens hunting expidetion, but rather do repairs and salvage on the cargo hold :)

I've just assumed that Annarra and Velden and Five met offworld for some weird thing that vaguely sounds like the old timeline, that way it stays consistent with the new timeline.

She stops for a moment looking at nothing much then says in an even flat tone as if reading from a book in her mind.

She nods as if happy she said the right thing,
then gives an evil grin adding

"If you don't believe me, why not ask Velden how come he still has his balls."

Then her mind is off again, you may get the idea she never seems to concentrate on anything for very long, like her mouth and body are always playing Catch up with a brain that's jumping from thing to thing as a speed just not normal.

"Former Mayor, yep, lets go have a chitty chat, then a long night of danger in the dark, sounds fun"

Velden raises an eyebrow, and shakes his head. "For those who haven't twigged to it yet, Annarra here is as much a human or elf as Claptrap over there. Her designer just had a better eye for aesthetics than Claptrap's maker. Doesn't mean they aren't both miswired in the head." He shakes his head and starts walking through town, motioning for the sheriff to come along. "So, how many bandits are in Firestone? We've already killed a good dozen today."


She follows Annarra and the sheriff eyes wide at all the new sights.
Taking it all in, the layout, the smells the whole thing.

If the others follow she will smile at them and then go back to looking.


"Well from what I can tell, we can wait and see what the other bandits do, then just clear out those that stay or you can go wipe out both at the same time. I have not observed their numbers but most should be dead that originally started in Fyrestone. No I would say you have killed already a good three dozen. Likely just the females and any pets the bandits might have kept were left behind." He says trying to be informative with the little that he actually knows. He also seems a bit young in his position and unconfident in his ways. The sheriff stays on the other side of Velden from the screw loose Aannra.

The door to the mansion is locked. DC 30, Disable Device. Mechanical/electronic lock. The windows appear to be covered in metal protections. The whole mansion looks like it is in lockdown.

Velden's a 'lead follow or get the $*#$& out of the way' type, not trying to dominate or boss around, OOC. If someone else comes forward with stuff to do, he's as likely to follow as lead. So far, nobody else has been pushing agendas, so he's pushing forward.

"Only if you want to sleep in a building that's blown up." He says, as she puts a hand on her blaster. "Try bypassing the security system first. CLAPTRAP!" He yells out, and points toward the door. "Help Aannra bypass the security on this place, and try to curb your natural instincts to blow up the town while you do it, 'kay?"
