Edwin I moved your character to the side of Yael as you attempt to knock the person back using a Bull Rush. Bull rush provoke AOO from the sicko. Below is the spoiler wrapped text for Bull Rush.
AOOSicko2: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7
OpposedStr: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 2 = 17
You would also have a +2 bonus from charging I believe. So your result is 11.

Bull Rush:

A character can attempt a bull rush as an attack action made during his or her move action, or as part of a charge. (In general, a character can’t make an attack action during a move action; this is an exception.) In either case, the character doesn’t get a 5-foot step before, during, or after the bull rush attempt. When the character bull rushes, he or she attempts to push an opponent straight back instead of attacking the opponent. A character can only bull rush an opponent who is one size category larger than the character, the same size, or smaller.
Initiating a Bull Rush: First, the character moves into the target’s square. Moving in this way provokes an attack of opportunity from each foe that threatens the character, probably including the target.
Second, the character and the target make opposed Strength checks. If the character and the target are different sizes, the larger combatant gets a bonus on the Strength check of +4 per difference in size category. The character gets a +2 bonus if he or she was charging. The target gets a +4 stability bonus if he or she has more than two legs or is otherwise exceptionally stable.
Bull Rush Results: If the character beats the target’s Strength check, the character pushes the opponent back 5 feet. The character can push the target back an additional 5 feet for every 5 points by which the character exceeded the target’s check result, provided the character moves with the target. A character can’t, however, exceed his or her normal movement for that action. (The target provokes attacks of opportunity if moved. So does the character, if he or she moves with the target. The target and the character do not provoke attacks of opportunity from each other as a result of this movement.)
If the character fails to beat the target’s Strength check, the character moves 5 feet straight back to where the character was before the character moved into the opponents square. If that square is occupied, the character falls prone in the square.

Mid round update.
Edwin charged towards the man trying to grab a hold of Yael and smash his duffel bag into the figure. He fails to knock the guy over and barely avoids a scraping hand swipe from the man.
Geoffrey seeing the attempt to save Yael fires his sniper rifle into the fray scoring an impressive shot to the back of the man's head. Blood sprays all over Yael and Edwin. JoJo runs up behind the woman on Richard to hit her with a canoe oar but misses in his attempt.
Richard breaks away from the woman who attempted to grab him as he turns to run the woman's scrapes his back with what feels like a bear claw. Richard's shirt is torn in 4 places and a thin blood line can be seen from each.
-4 hp Richard.
It is now Yael and Marcus turn then I will post for NPCs and the final Sicko if still around.

"WHY ARE YOU FIGHTING THESE SICKOS HAND TO HAND?! GET AWAY FROM THEM! WE DON'T KNOW WHAT THEY HAVE?!"

Not wanting to shoot any of his fellow campers nor try his luck a second time of catching whatever pathogen the Sickos have, Marcus moves 5' to the left away from the downed sicko next to him but looks for other sickos that may be walking up. Marcus gnashes his teeth and shakes his head like he forgot something. "UGH, I knew I was forgetting items! I should have purchased a NBC rated gas mask! Well, that is what Bug Out Bag tests are for but it sucks if this is it, and one is under prepared. Of course, I probably should also work out more so I can carry more. That was my other problem, ran out of strength to carry all that I wanted, and now needed?!"

Marcus brings himself back to the immediate now, and searches the immediate location and tree line for more sickos besides the one about to nom nom on either Richard since he made significant movement next to the sicko or refocus on John.

History 1d20+4
Pop Culture 1d20+3

Having seen a number of horror movies in his time, the grotesque wound this Sicko's could handle didn't bother him too much. But it did remind him of the zombie craze a few years back. Unfortunately, he couldn't remember much else beyond that name.

You also remember that the Zombies were like dead people but weren't like dead dead but kinda of living dead. That's right the name of one movie series was Night Of the Living Dead.

Retcon
Only Richard's shirt is torn no damage sustained as he took the withdraw action as described by the words "retreats to safety". Simple misunderstanding if taking a special action (not simple move or attack) please post it in ooc tags so it is clear.

IIRC the -4 that precise shot gets rid of the same 4 range window that you might hit your allies with.

Yael is stunned momentarily as she gets a face full of ichor.

Did he.... oh... Jesus f~@$.. that m~&*+#*$*+~~ just shot at me!

She gets over her dismay quickly though as there is still one remaining sicko standing. She takes a quick step over the now splattered remains and fires a shot at the remaining attacker.

Schmitty and Brian seeing the sicko attack Richard as he ran away and their beloved JoJo alone against the stranger so they charged and brought their newly found weapons the canoe oars down on the Sicko at the same time and clanked into each other. A split second later their paddles were swiped aside by a swing of Greg's shotgun as he also missed the diseased woman. Then when she tried to grab a hold of Greg's shirt the oars descended one after the other on the head of the ill lady caving in the skull and covering the oars in blood and brain matter.

Arlo dashed over to his wife Piper who was hiding under the truck sobbing.
Honey dearest we need to move now. Give me your hand. I'll keep you safe.
with a little further coaxing Piper crawled out from under the truck and stood up. Everyone was breathing heavy and looking around at the treeline in every direction. No more sick people were spotted at the moment but who knows.

So that resolves this first frantic combat. I know I learned a lot of mechanics during this fight and I thank you for your patience with any mistakes that were made or confusion that I caused. Marcus smiles as he places his handgun on safe, "Ok, I am taking the truck now. The pickup truck in the lot has a trailer hitch attached to it. It is a 2017 Silver Ford F-350 there is some rust around the wheel wells but is in otherwise good condition. The bed is empty except for 2' x 4' black tool chests running along each side of the truck above the wheel. The tool chests have a keyhole.

"Thanks guys," JoJo says to his friends as they come to the rescue. He wasn't sure how to feel after seeing them beat a woman to death but considering the circumstance, thanks was in order. He picks up his flash light and heads towards the truck. He quiet agreed, borrowing it was necessary now. He tries the door.

Marcus' mouth falls open when Edwin basically called him a coward ...

"PFFFT, you old geezer. There is a difference between survival and a dead hero. None of us know the infection vector, or for you slow types, how the sicko's illness is spread from person to person. And several of you went ahead and went all touchy feely. I may be putting all of you touchy feely types down because you were so BRAVE to go hand-to-hand with a sicko. However, I will feel sorry for the ones that the sickos grabbed. Not like you had a choice but the BRAVE touchy feely types did." Marcus smirks at Edwin, then looks at John, "I can take care of the vehicle but let's search to make sure none of them red neck blue colored types simply hid the key on or in the truck. And also, let's make sure the cab is free of sickos."

Marcus holsters his On Safe Weapon, Velcro's it in to make sure it does not leap out of the holster, and assists John searching for keys and cab inhabiting sickos.

"Can anyone hotwire this thing?"

JoJo asks his question as he tries the cab door. Surprisingly it is unlocked. A quick glance around the cab reveals a piece of paper neatly laid out on the middle of the passenger seat.

The world has gone mad. I am leaving it all behind. Feel free to use the truck I won't be needing it anymore. God has forsaken us! Those fools in the church don't realize it yet. My dear Ellie I am so sorry. I go off into the lakes and beyond to see if I can live with the things I've done over the past two weeks. I'll keep a bullet in case I can't. May this truck serve you as well as it did me before the world went mad. Edgar July 16th 2025.

As JoJo picked up the paper to read the note it revealed a key ring that had the key to the truck and what looked like a small locker key probably to the tool chests in the bed. There were a few other keys on the ring as well.

JoJo proceeded to search the rest of the cab and found a mileage notepad, a county roadmap, and $1.89 in change. He also noticed that there were bloodstains on the floor mats and bloody fingerprints on the steering wheel.

What is today in game?

John reads the note then reads it again. He stares at the words for a moment without really reading anything. What? He hops in and starts it up. His first thought is to turn on the radio and try to find a station that works.

**RESERVED FOR ZPOC**

Marcus' face lits up, takes his pack off, and starts to get in with his pack leading the way, "Scoot over ... I mean please scoot over John, I am driving! Hop in guys and gals! Oh, someone please unhitch that canoe boat trailer?!" Marcus voice is in an excited but cordial tone, and not condescending.

Male Human Dedicated Hero 2 (HP 12/12) (AC 14/14/10) (Fort +3, Ref +2, Will +5) (Init +2)

"Agreed, until we know more about what is going on, I suggest minimising physical contact with the afflicted - we don't know what is causing this, or how contagious it is."

When Marcus hops in the truck, Geoffrey nods, and jumps into the back, using the roll-bar to help position his rifle, so as to sight down the truck's path.

"Just hang on a second," John says, with a hand in the air. He continues to search through stations hoping some emergency station will shed some light on what is going on. To forestall any pushing he hands Marcus the note.

**RESERVED FOR ZPOC**

Marcus stuffs the note in his vest and with urgency in his voice, he speaks quickly but cordially, "Jojo please move over? You can play with the radio equally well in the passenger seat. There is a lot of people around here, or was, which potentially equals a lot of sickos if it has a high infection rate. Again, please scoot over." Marcus only slightly pushes him for he is not trying to start a fight but being nice that it is urgent to get moving.

RocksAhead wrote:
I forget if I mentioned this before or not but the in game date is Saturday July 26th 2025. You left for the trip 30 days ago on June 26th.

I knew I said the date somewhere before it was in the discussion thread. So the note was dated to 10 days previous. Richard's analysis of the John Doe's brain smashed corpse was that time of death was over 2 weeks so pre-dating the note by a few days.

The radio crackles and hisses through several channels of static. Before finding 106.7 FM that is playing music.

The other night I dreamt a nice continental drift divide
Mountains sit in a line, Leonard Bernstein
Leonid Brezhnev, Lenny Bruce, and Lester Bangs
Birthday party, cheesecake, jellybean, boom
You symbiotic, patriotic, slam but neck, right? Right

It's the end of the world as we know it (It's time I had some time alone)
It's the end of the world as we know it (It's time I had some time alone)
It's the end of the world as we know it, and I feel fine (It's time I had some time alone)

It's the end of the world as we know it
It's the end of the world as we know it
It's the end of the world as we know it, and I feel fine (It's time I had some time alone)

JoJo changes the channel and finds more static and then finds a station that has a emergency tone going but no information following it for 30 seconds before he switched the channel back to the music.

Team by team, reporters baffled, trumped, tethered, cropped
Look at that low plane, fine, then
Uh-oh, overflow, population, common group
But it'll do, save yourself, serve yourself
World serves its own needs, listen to your heart bleed
Tell me with the Rapture and the reverent in the right, right
You vitriolic, patriotic, slam fight, bright light
Feeling pretty psyched

It's the end of the world as we know it
It's the end of the world as we know it
It's the end of the world as we know it, and I feel fine

It is quickly revealed that this song is on repeat.

And one last radio station is playing ...

Whoa, oh, oh
Whoa, oh, oh
Whoa, oh, oh
Whoa
I'm waking up to ash and dust
I wipe my brow and I sweat my rust
I'm breathing in the chemicals
(inhale) (exhale)

I'm breaking in, shaping up, then checking out on the prison bus
This is it, the apocalypse
Whoa

I'm waking up, I feel it in my bones
Enough to make my systems blow
Welcome to the new age, to the new age
Welcome to the new age, to the new age
Whoa, oh, oh, oh, oh, whoa, oh, oh, oh, I'm radioactive, radioactive
Whoa, oh, oh, oh, oh, whoa, oh, oh, oh, I'm radioactive, radioactive

I raise my flags, don my clothes
It's a revolution, I suppose
We're painted red to fit right in
Whoa

This is it, the apocalypse
Whoa

I'm waking up, I feel it in my bones
Enough to make my systems blow
Welcome to the new age, to the new age

Whoa, oh, oh, oh, oh, whoa, oh, oh, oh, I'm radioactive, radioactive
Whoa, oh, oh, oh, oh, whoa, oh, oh, oh, I'm radioactive, radioactive

All systems go, the sun hasn't died
Deep in my bones, straight from inside

Welcome to the new age, to the new age
Welcome to the new age, to the new age
Whoa, oh, oh, oh, oh, whoa, oh, oh, oh, I'm radioactive, radioactive
Whoa, oh, oh, oh, oh, whoa, oh, oh, oh, I'm radioactive, radioactive

Then it repeats as well...

Although more about drug addiction, it still works for an Apoc.

"Ok Jojo, you've got your TEOTWAWKI news broadcast, can you now scoot over!" Marcus pushes him slightly with his backpack and there is a little bit of frustrated anger in his voice indicating both urgency AND frustrated anger.

Richard puts his backpack on the cargo area, and secures it with a snap hook.
Jumping in the back he takes out his smartphone and thinks aloud.
"Ok radio is on repeat, maybe find a CB-Funk in a huge truck.
We need to find out what happened. Medicine packs are in each car. Wait in every car in germany. But maybe in offices. Yes. Food and water. Uncontaminated. And protection gear, so that we can have a look at those things. Are animals affected? Hmm maybe check an animal clinic, I guess regular hospitals could be overrun by turned patients! Find better weapons and survival gear. Yes!"

If Marcus isn't going to read it then JoJo takes it back.

Instead of sliding over JoJo gets out and heads over to Greg. If Marcus wasn't going to read the note then maybe he would. "Something happened weeks ago. Right after we left I guess. I still want to see but I don't think the resort is going to be safe."

**RESERVED FOR ZPOC**

Marcus lets Jojo take the note out of his vest but only the note, "Thank you!" He then turns down the radio to low even though he likes the music. He closes the door and locks it, then uses the power window to lower a little, "Come on people, let's go, it is better to be moving than sitting here. We can adapt as we drive. I suggest those in the bed to not put your backs to the road but towards each other, or towards the middle of the bed and cab. That way, a sicko can't grab you easily while driving by. Also, please unhook the trailer? It doesn't have to be nice, with the little wheel and all. Just unhook and drop."

Greg glares a bit at Marcus who seems to be barking orders at everyone else as if he suddenly is in charge just because he has been waiting for a moment like this his entire life.
Thank you JoJo. He says as he quickly reads the note.

Edgar and Ellie huh. Shame they were a nice older couple in town. He was a painter. She taught at the school. Yeah seems like whatever is going on happened at least a few weeks ago judging by the date and his mention of two weeks. Hah Marcus think of it your whole life you've been absolutely waiting for s*#$ to hit the fan. When it does you're on vacation. He laughs out loud and then looks at Marcus with a bit of pity. Sorry that's not called for. Marcus wants to drive. Not sure if he really knows the way around or anything but sure let's all jump in. The bed will be a bit cramped with 6 of us back there. 2 in the front and 3 in the backseat of the truck.

Looking around at the group of campers he continues. Well if Marcus wants to drive. I need 4 others to be in the cab with him. Yael and Geoffrey you two seem like decent shots, at least from what I've seen, would you mind riding in the bed with me? Also how about you college boys with the oars ride in the back with us?

Greg as he waits for a response goes to the back of the truck and tries to unhitch the trailer. Marcus there's a padlock on chains back here any chance there's a key on that ring?

So Greg is making a suggestion that the split of PCs go Marcus, Edwin, Richard in the cab with the Canterburys. With the Yael, Geoffrey and JoJo plus Brian, Schmitty and Greg in the bed. The time lodge any protests would be now. Oh and the truck key ring has 5 keys besides the one in the ignition.

Front is just two seats. Backseat of cab can fit 3 comfortably. It is a three seatbelt arrangement. There are actually 11 of you currently. So that would be 5 in the cab and 6 in the bed if everyone wanted to be comfortable. You could squeeze more in the cab but it would mean people sitting on people's laps and obscuring Marcus's vision -2 to drive checks.

Female Human Fast Hero 2 (Investigative)

Glad to know we mean so much to you Marcus. I'll be sure to remember that next time. And dude, stop singing, you're making me wish Geoffrey had missed the sicko. Yael turns to Edwin. Thanks back there, those guys were creepy as hell, I'm not sure if I would have had the guts to do what you did.

Yael strips to her tank top, putting the now blood-splattered plaid shirt she had been wearing over it into an empty front pouch of her backpack. She holds up the note with her right hand and reads it carefully, absentmindedly tracing the scar on her right arm with her other hand. She looks up as Greg makes the seating suggestion.

Hey look, it's great we found a way to get back, but I'm actually a bit apprehensive about possibly facing more of the sickos from the back of truck in the middle of the night. We passed by a couple of small islands as we were canoeing right? We could wait out there until morning. Either way, I vote moving away from the resort to somewhere a bit more remote. Also, Marcus, if you're driving, let JoJo borrow your gun.

Are our cars in town or in a somewhat deserted parking lot near the visitor center?

JoJo hops in the back with the rest, facing outward. He watches for anymore of those crazy people...zombies. Try as he might all he could remember was the name and some old Romero movie about the living dead. It sounded insane. I mean it was just a movie. But what he witnessed was also insane. "Anybody remember the Zombie monster craze around 2010? Do these...sicko's seem similar?"

Male Human Dedicated Hero 2 (HP 12/12) (AC 14/14/10) (Fort +3, Ref +2, Will +5) (Init +2)

Geoffrey, already up on the back of the truck, gives Greg an odd look.

"Sure, I am happy to stay up here."

He listens to Yael's suggestion.

"Agreed, we should probably stay away from population centres, at least tonight; in the morning, when visibility is better, we may have a better shot... I just don't want to be swarmed by an entire pack of those things when I can barely see."

Geoffrey then frowns.

"I am not sure whether the islands are a good idea, though - bodies can float; what happens if one of them washes up on our island in the middle of the night? It would make fleeing difficult. Honestly? I think our best bet would be to find one of the Park fire spotting stations, and hole up there until morning."

History Check: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6
Pop culture Check: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 2 = 12

Jojo's comment reminds Yael suddenly of her childhood. Well, that letter says that things started going south between three and a half weeks ago. So maybe... some might say... it's 28 Days Later.

Her lips start curving into a smile at her joke about her personal favorite zombie movie, but quickly turn into a frown. Damn, yeah, I had completely forgotten about all that, it was so long ago. Shoot em in their head, don't get bit was the general rule of thumb right? Braindead but hungry. Hard as hell to kill. And Zombies definitely keep walking if you put a bullet in their heart. But still, that was all fiction, if the sickos really are real-world zombies, it might be different.

She hops into the truck next to Geoffrey. That sounds like a good place to hole up. Greg, how many people would normally be near the parking lot where our cars our?

While all of your vehicles are parked in our customer lot back at the Backwoods Guide and Canoe Trips in town. Normally at this point in night there wouldn't be too many people just those returning from a trip a little later than normal. Gary who drives the bus and canoe trailer would normally be there as well. But who knows now. Greg stops and thinks for a second before continuing. We are talking about driving along the edge of town. As for sleeping on an island it is not a bad idea but we don't have any food supplies remaining and I am getting hungry myself not sure how everyone else is feeling?

So party seems a bit divided on where to go. Sleep on island or take the truck and go where? Still check out the resort for information or drive directly to Backwoods and to your vehicles.

Marcus replies to Ranger Greg, "Right boss! If we ever see Edgar and Ellie, I will give them a hug for leaving the truck here!" Marcus turns off the truck, takes out the keys, and runs to the back to help unlock the trailer lock. Marcus rolls his eyes as Yael gets after him about not wanting to expose himself to a sick person that has some weird unknown sickness to save her and the others and for singing a song that was on the radio, "Women! And she thinks I sound like Dan Reynolds from Imagine Dragons?! She hasn't heard me sing. I sound more like a duck in heat or wait ducks don't go in heat ... whatever ... focus and get everyone of here alive!" He arrives at the lock, looks at the lock, picks the key or keys that look similar to fitting the lock, and the name on the lock matches the name on the key. While unhitching the trailer, Marcus speaks up, "Well we can always search those packs or not worry about eating tonight, it will not kill us to wait until morning to hunt, fish, or scavenge. As for the island, we don't know how deep the island shoreline is and there maybe zombies in canoes as well. An ocean or deep lake island would be more ideal which we don't know if the island we passed is deep shore and there could be sickos on the island that we didn't see in the fading light. However, the island will more than likely have less sickos than the resort if the resort has been compromised."

It's no big deal, that is why I placed it in a thought than in a statement. The real focus was attacking the zeds in hand to hand when the group still does not what the infection vector is.

Marcus look as Jojo, "What?! Right boss was answering Ranger Greg to unlock the trailer and I would really give Edgar and Ellie a hug. They didn't have to leave the truck here for anyone. So go heckle someone else like a sicko. As for the resort, we can always drive by. I am sure we will see if sickos are abound with a drive by. And I agree about driving by major population areas. A city has all sorts of things that can go wrong in an apocalypse."

Marcus finishes the trailer making sure both the hitch and the trailer may be used again.

"Giving this more thought, about we only take enough people to fit in the cab of the truck, and we go scout the perimeter of the resort, then return? The others go and scout out the island by rowing around it with Ranger Greg's light? And that is all we do, nothing more and nothing less. Does Edgar have a CB in the cab that can reach your handheld radio Ranger Greg?"

How the hell am I supposed to know Marcus is there one there. I haven't been riding around with the guy after all. There is not a CB.
Greg thinks for a second and from the bed of the truck says to everyone
One of the islands we passed not too far back, maybe a 15 minute row, would be big enough for us all to sleep there. It does have a shallow shoreline as you can canoe right up to a sandy beach. Maybe we all spend the night there and try to scout out the resort in the morning when it is light. Not sure if we should be splitting up at this point. But whatever you all think is best. The resort also isn't far from here. Like a 2 minute drive. We can all go and check the perimeter as you suggest and then all go to the island for the night to camp safely. I still think we will need someone on watch at all hours.

Geoffrey shakes his head vehemently.

"I strongly suggest that we don't split up; in every horror movie that I ever watched, doing so always ended badly... Why don't we do a quick drive-by to see what is happening with the resort, then head back to the island to rest for the night?"

Edwin squints at the setting sun. They were running out of daylight when they first arrived, and if there were more of these 'sickoes,' it'd be a bad idea to be blind-fighting in the chill of the night.

"A drive by would give us some info to mull over, but if anything happens it could be bad..."

Edwin spits on the ground. It was remarkably similar to his factory work. Whatever it took to minimize labor and save time. Potential problems could arise from the smallest of issues. Still, he was feeling a bit ashamed at taking the whole emergency situation too lightly, and it showed on his crusty face and the way he scratched the back of his neck, a nervous tick since way back.

"If we got enough daylight, should be fine. But I probably won't be much help... I can get camp set up at the small island while you all do recon. Make myself useful somehow Get some coffee going. Should be alright with a canoe nearby and a lonely island."

Marcus shrugs at Ranger Greg and continues ...

"That only happens in the movies Dr Whittaker and this is no movie. Maybe a bad dream but not a movie? Military units separate all the time to gather info and report back to the larger body for an attack or whatever. However, we are not a military unit. I vote, let's go to the island and when there is daylight in which we can see further, we scout out the resort and other possibilities. We will need to set up watches and two people or more per watch is the best. It is too easy for a single person to fall asleep."

Marcus looks around ...

"Let's make haste, our fiddling here may have attracted more sickos or zombies, whatever they are?"

"Not a movie? You just shot a guy in the heart and he kept right on coming. In the real world, that kills someone. So we've taken a pretty large f!~@ing jump towards movie shenanigans." JoJo is nearly yelling by the end of his rant. He cools off quickly at the silent stares of the others. "I'd like to avoid more shenanigans so I vote for an island. And I don't think anyone is falling asleep tonight."

"Marcus, do not get me wrong, but you know you have the only car and the others are supposed to be left behind. I for one would not feel very safe and if anything happens to you, like a simple accident or out of gas, we would be worried!"

Clarification sun has official set it is night now but not complete darkness. It is about 8:30 PM.

So it sounds like we are all leaning towards paddling back out to an island for the evening. The closest one is only a thousand feet or so away from here we should be there in a matter of a few minutes. So we are agreed then to the boats and back to an Island for safety?
Greg waits for any objections and then continues.
Let's do our watches by our canoes today. I'll take the first watch alone I doubt I'll get much sleep anyway.

So a watch order of the following is proposed.
9-10 ready campsite for sleeping.
10-11:30 Greg
11:30-1 Marcus and JoJo
1-2:30 Richard and Geoffrey
2:30-4 Yael and Edwin
4-5:30 Arlo and Piper
5:30-7 Brian and Schmitty
7 Rise and shine and to the resort.

"Rich, we are not going any where but the small lake island. I wasn't going to be alone to recon the Resort. I was going to bring (5) people who would fit comfortably in the cab but it is still better to recon during the day when dealing with the sick or zombies. I just hope the resort is mostly clear of sickos and truly bad humans. Healthy bad humans are still worse than the sickos."

Marcus looks at Ranger Greg,

Yes, the island looks good and watch by canoe order does make it easier. I suggest no one sit down, use red light if there is not enough star light or no light, no fire, talk to each other in a low voice without bass or in a whisper, and keep people from snoring. Normal light can be seen easily at night, especially on a clear calm lake, but red light does break down faster than normal light so it does not travel as far. Normal human noises are easily picked up at night because there are fewer white noises to drown out general human noises and noise echos better across clear calm water than on land or choppy water. Of course, if we hear anything no matter how slight, turn on those lights to see what is making the noise. Don't be afraid to wake anyone up if you feel something is horribly wrong. Being too nice in an apocalypse will usually result in death. Also keeping our lights off saves battery power for when we really need them."

After Jojo's outburst, Yael quietly reaches over and touches his shoulder, giving him a sympathetic smile.

Sounds fine to me, let's get moving. We have the keys to the truck right?

I think that is a majority ruling to go to the island and spend the night with the watch order proposed. If I can get a d20 roll from everyone for their watch duty I will make a post summarizing the evening. I believe Marcus still has the keys to the truck.
