Jeez. Two more 'safe' jobs I didn't get last week. I have to admit I'm not really feeling the RP vibe right now.
The bigger deal is that this probably means the end of our Norwegian adventure. Erin thinks she can get work right away in Phoenix; as she and Emma are already there, I'll probably move there in a few weeks. If so, I'm going to be busy for a while. I'm not gone, though, just distracted.

I've caught up with the story, noooooooo!
Such good reading you guys, I'm on the edge of my seat waiting for what happens next in this spooky monastery.
Once this is over someone should turn this campaign into a book I swear.
Maybe I'll look into doing it if I find the time. I'd love to have all the combat math side-barred as well, that's a part I really love about reading pbp's.
Some advice I can't stand not sharing (spoilered in case you don't want it):
There should be - gonna have to do some looking...
Edit:
Paydirt!::Versatile Weapon
School transmutation; Level bard 2, ranger 2, sorcerer/wizard 3
Casting Time 1 standard action
Components V, S, M (iron filings)
Range close (25 ft. + 5 ft./2 levels)
Target one weapon or 50 projectiles, all of which must be together at the time of casting
Duration 1 minute/level
Saving Throw Will negates (harmless, object); Spell Resistance yes (harmless, object)
You transform the physical makeup of a weapon as you desire. This spell functions like greater magic weapon, except that it subtly alters the physical properties of a weapon, enabling it to bypass damage reduction of one the following types: bludgeoning, cold iron, piercing, silver, or slashing. The affected weapon still inflicts damage of its normal type and its hardness and hit points are unchanged. This spell can be cast on a natural weapon or unarmed strike.
I think as a lvl 2 ranger spell that Janosz (in addition to Runzyl) should take it so he can rain damage onto any foe with his bow and leave the melee to the guys with the Str to put on the power. Also doesn't Runzyl have 2 levels of Ranger? Sounds perfect.

Thanks for the suggestion. Of course, rangers don't get second-level spells until 7th level at earliest, so it would be a while before Runzyl would have access to that spell if he plans on taking further ranger levels - which I don't think is a given.
Janosz could definitely benefit from it, too, but he's only sixth level and advancing in a prestige class, so it will depend on his plans.
Might be a good choice for a wand, though - Gil is good with wands. ;-)

Just kidding!
Well of course all authors of the original content would be appropriately cited and compensated. You guys have done all the heavy lifting already so it'd be more yours.
I've never written anything longer than a short story but this kind of thing might be fun to work on. And given it's lengthy timetable would be easily accommodated in my busy schedule.

I remember you guy's lamenting the (temporary) loss of such a big damage dealer as Lightbringer (torch-holder, lol). I remember him slicing an evil cleric in twain with his two handed power attack charge one time.
But look at Master Frogshanks go, with his "clustered shots" feat the damage total here is 70 hp (assuming all hit) with 16 of that being fire and 11 electrical. That's a pretty big hammer to punch through any DR. Plus if he uses Versatile Weapon on his arrows he'll bypass any mundane DR as a matter of course.
"Burn, twiggy! BURN!!!" Janosz steps underneath the tree's grasping branch-hand and lets loose.
It missed me. I take a 5' step to P25 before pincushioning T2. I'm using Point Blank Shot, Manyshot and Rapid Shot. Also, as I have the Clustered Shots feat, all the damage gets totaled before DR is subtracted - i.e. all the shots essentially counts as a single mega-arrow.
Attack 1 (w/Manyshot): 11+19+1(PBS)=AC 31, damage 2d8+6+2(BPS)=19+4 fire + 3 electrical
Attack 2: 10+19+1=AC 30, damage 1d8+3+1=9+4 fire + 4 electrical
Attack 3: 11+14+1=AC 26, damage 1d8+3+1=8+5 fire + 2 electrical
Attack 4: 9+9+1=AC 19, damage 1d8+3+1=7+3 fire + 2 electrical

i had always heard upstate new york was full of beautiful rolling hills and picturesque sunrises and such.
having only been to arizona once, i didnt like it. but everyone i know from there loves it for some reason. looks like a cat's litterbox to me. but time with the family in a rocky wasteland is better than time apart somewhere nicer.

Just to let you know, I'll be on holiday from Saturday for a week (yes, another holiday - but the last for a while). There is a teeny chance I'll be able to update in that time, but it really is teeny.
On a cool note - if Linkedin is to be believed, Vatters now has a job as a consultant in international relations. Though I'm sure he'll miss his easy-pull-off tie.

And then I'm sorta back. It's been ridiculously busy lately, but now work's mostly over, and I've managed to both ship the dog and sell my car and furniture. I leave for Phoenix on Wednesday.
The polic-sci job is mostly dormant - we're basically some pals from the U of Arizona doctoral programme trying to earn a little cash on the side. However, we haven't had much luck lately finding contracts, as we are open-source only. It might turn around, though.

And then I'm back in Phoenix. Man, it's hot here... Give me a few days to reacquaint myself with my family, and I'll get back to posting here as well.
EDIT: It was a nice flight. London-Phoenix direct, the back of the plane was mostly empty, so I had three seats to myself... In fact, it was nice enough that I'm reduced to grumbling about the songs on the British Top 40 show I listened to on the way - and while it's not exactly news that Rhianna and Nicki Minaj are awful, that's not British Airways' fault.

Anyone seen this and got any comments (Tenro, I know you are aware)?

The warforged-can-wear-armor-now thing kinda threw me, but generally I like what I have looked through. His rework of the prestige class I had been considering so long ago removes the dead spell progression level which had been the sting preventing me from taking it once I qualified. So obviously I like that ;)
Tenro |
i didnt look at ALL the prestige class updates, just a small handful.
they didnt update any of the psionic eberron stuff to PF that i saw, most likely since PF doesnt have native psionics.
warforged wearing armor is a bit weird, but i imagine a GM playing it fairly realistically might have the warforged unable to just use any old armor.

Tzizimine also converted all instances of Action Points to use Pathfinder's Hero Point system. That alone must have been a lot of work.
He also wrote up a much more detailed, comprehensive and maybe complicated version of the chase rules from the GMG to keep them relevant as a skill challenge in the vein of Eberron beyond the first few levels.

Sorry about my recent absence. I started a new job this week and they offered me "as much overtime as I can handle" so naturally I've chosen to work back-to-back 66 hour weeks.
We don't have access to Paizo from the new job's network sooo... I'm going to be scarce until this new application rollout completes (at least a couple weeks). Apologies to all.
