The stairway is dim, but fairly solid. The ancient Murkins were excellent builders. The first stairs are covered in charred spidergoat husks, some fresh, some old. As Coca walks up the stairs, he hears a screeching whine from above. A rusty spider moves down from the second floor landing. It blares a garbled static-filled warning message:
Warning! Treaspassers will gndksabdlfbs! I repeat, this is a restricted area! Emergency or maintenence use onadhgaieuvb! Failure to skdhfsdg will ldjsoewj!
The spider is about three feet across, and bristles with all sorts of sensors. Some ancient joker painted a smiley face on it's front sensor pod.

Eva searches her memory of the data on the datajack for any clues from the past recording that would help to idnetify a code, if nothing she looks for the spider's memory unity and will attempt to Degauzeit.
E.V.A.:
Recorder: LOL, stoopid spidder
Friend 1: Yah, ol' spidey got us quick dat time der
Friend 2: whatchu gunna do?
Recorder: I wished I had one a dem pirate janitor cards like Lexxy does. She smokes up on de landins alla time an' spidey don't mess wit her nohow.
The robot drones sensory pod (at the front) most likely holds the memory and CPU of the unit.

"Hmmm maintenance or emergency type cards? I shall check the front desk area again. Maybe someone left one behind. What do these cards look like?"

ID cards can be in a lot of different configurations. Usually, a clip-on small card was standard, though the ID chip could be placed in anything really: A badge, a small keychain fob, etc.
Chiro searches the ground floor after the spider is evaded. It keeps shrilling out its warning even after they leave.
No trespassing! This is a Level Alpha restricted area! Dfhgerts fgerstf!
Chiro:

Chiro will use his amazing groundskeeper skills and try and "rake" the remains from the foot of the stairs without putting his precious hide in harms way.
Will try and use pieces of furniture or bits of debris to push or pull the remains around to get a look at what is under the pile of spidergoat and other skeletons.
Germain
Germain glances around at her silent companions.
"Nothing huh?" she walks around the ground floor looking at all the dead spidergoats, kicking a few stones, before turning back to her companions, "well we need to either take that Mo-Fu out or distract him . . . maybe he's got parameters? Maybe you could do a fly around Chiro? Perhaps he's stuck watching the stairs and elevator and isn't programed to watch the sky. I whatever watched for jet packs would probably been on the now non-existent roof right?"

Chiro pokes a bit, and manages to get the skeleton free. It has a ragged suit of soiled clothing on.
Spot roll please

Sherman helps Chiro search the remains.

While pulling the skeleton out, a moldy leather strap is revealed.
The voice of the spider can still be heard from above
Urban Security Forces have been notified! Intruders! Leave or sdghfs welifdlla!
Sorry for my absences. Rl is kicking my @zz and for the next while I will not be able to keep up with the post level I once did :(

Germain glances over to see what the men folk are up too:
That spot check swells to an even 30 if she's looking at a human.

Anyone searching skelli or pulling out backpack??
I was waiting till someone said "what makes you say that 'Germain'?" or something like that before Germain revealed that she'd spotted a backpack. Germain you see comes from a rich enclave that has pretty much maintained it's tec level so she doesn't see the value of scrounging. She also has a sort of disdain for 'man-made objects' and thus isn't actually interested in salvaging tainted objects. I'll also add that Germain is very focused on her mission and thus isn't immediately interested in these side missions.
That's why Germain didn't tell the others about the backpack or go digging for it herself. And now you know . . . and knowing is half the battle. G.I. Jane!
Germain
Germain rolls her eyes. As if any human history would be valuable to these xy freaks. It was a known fact that men couldn't learn from their mistakes. Besides history was stupid, she hated being forced to learn about the stupid male history in citizenship classes, but Germain had to admit that it had taught her about how the inferior male mind worked.

Sorry I spilt the beans, but it seemed like things were bogging down a bit
The skeleton has two gold pieces in its pockets. A Glock .22 is in a holster on its bony waist. There are two clips with 15 bullets in them.
The backpack is filled with odds and ends, looks like salvaged electronics and copper bits. There is a keychain with several plastic cards attached in the front breast pocket of the skeleton's shirt.
Chiro
"Hmmm, gold to Roach and Cocoa, gun... you want that Germain or Sherman? Electronics and bits to Eva, and the cards to the most human looking....which would not be me, thank goodness!"
Chiro gives another patented grin of doom as he flexes his wings.
I will take the gun and ammo to carry, if no one else wants. Unless you meant that was a Glock 22 at 10mm caliber and not .22 caliber? In which case it is not too bad of a gun.
Sherman Tank
Can I take a 10 for a total of 10 on my listen check please?
Sherman shakes his head when the gun is offered around, patting his own weapons, "Nah thanks mon, got me boom brethan here,"
He laughs silently, his shoulders heaving up and down at Roaches comment, "Ye a funny Rasta,"
"So sista, ye goin up da stairs to show the Babylon da card?" he asks Germain

Chiro will motion to everyone to be on alert for "something bad" on the way, then sneak over to the outside door to have a look-see.

Chiro squints outside into the sunshine. A rusty eight-foot tall robotic form approaches the ruined building. Shaped like a beetle with spindly chicken legs, the robot sports two long arms and a sensor pod at the top crest of its shell. Faded markings on the robot read something in Ancient Anglish
Spot DC 20:

Eva looks to see if there is a scan bar on the ID card, and a scanner on the giant robot, she looks for a way to interact with it, she humms up her static field of blue arcing energy to deflect and incoming nasties cast mage armor does this thing have any interface ports on it?

Most likely its sensor pod is made to interface with the public.
