We check the other way as well before checking out probably-slime-door.
Rynjin
There are two other doors, one to the east (at the very end of the hallway) and one to the south, just opposite the "slime door"..
As you approach the one at the very end, you hear a faint scratching sound interspersed with a desperate knocking coming from the wall directly to your left. The wall there seems abnormally smooth.
Samuel Sledge
Sledge pokes the smooth wall with his longspear to see if it has unusual give. He stands ready for combat in case something pops out.
Basically, he's not gonna let something (assuming it is the wall or comes from the wall) surprise him.
Samuel Sledge
"Does anyone know of a sort of beasty that does this kind of thing?"
Basically, can anyone do a knowledge check based on the info we have?
Jones Shei'lac
Jones frowns. "I haven't nearly enough information. All I can discern is that it has claws or nails."
Samuel Sledge
"Alright, get ready."
Sledge kicks a hole in the wall.
Pummeling average damage is 43.
Rynjin
The other valid option was "leave it alone".
Sledge catches a glimpse of four emaciated, corpse-like beings before they're upon him.
Kn. Religion to identify.
Init: 4d20 ⇒ (15, 20, 15, 16) = 66
Init: 4d20 ⇒ (7, 12, 8, 6) = 33
Jones (26)
Darius (22)
Zin (20)
Sledge (19)
Four creatures
Everyone is up!
Jones Shei'lac
Kn. Relig: 1d20 + 14 + 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 14 + (4) + 1 = 25
Jones drinks a Dex mutagen and moves up to one of the creatures.
Rynjin
These are Wights. More specifically, the one i the lead is a Wight and the rest are its Spawn...and recently made, at that. It appears these people (all wearing the same uniform) were sealed up in that small room with the Wight, killed, and transformed.
You know everything there is to know about Wights, but the highlights are: They drain your soul (Negative levels on hit) and an be killed by Raise Dead or similar spells (no material component needed).
Zin'Retatarianna Mor
Z will call out to Sledge, "Hey get back, it's about to get hot other there and you don't want to be around."
Once he moves away.
Fireball DC20: 10d6 ⇒ (5, 5, 3, 5, 4, 1, 4, 4, 3, 3) = 37
Burning: 1d4 ⇒ 3

Never mind, Jones will move the F$#@ away from these guys.
Samuel Sledge
Should we kill the Spawn first? A lot of Spawn are weaker when their creator is still alive. Jones would know, so Sledge would target whichever Jones tells him to.
Sledge backs up to allow Zin to fireball, and then moves back in once she has done so. Assuming it's a readied action for once Sledge gets out of the blast radius.
If any wights survive, he will give them a devastating elbow to the skull.
1d20 + 8 ⇒ (13) + 8 = 21
1d8 + 18 ⇒ (8) + 18 = 26

I'm pretty sure they're all dead.

Note: There is nowhere in this hallway you can put that Fireball without catching everyone else in it too. Let me draw a map real quick.
Edit: Yeah there is. Hallway is a bit longer than I thought. Thankfully that whole "volume" thing doesn't apply in PF.
After everyone scrambles out of the way (I assume) Zin is able to blast the alcove, incinerating all four Wights at once.
Samuel Sledge
Cool bghoul. Ain't nobody got time for negative levels anyways.
We check for treasure.
Also, updated my statbar to adjust for no longer being a mutagenic mauler.
Samuel Sledge
Sledge listens at the non-slime door.
Take 10 with aid for 29+2+2 for 33.
Samuel Sledge
"I hear water."
Sledge opens the door and steps back, fists raised.
Rynjin
20 feet below, the room is filled with water. For a moment, the room looks empty, until Samuel notices a pair of glowing yellow eyes peeking out of the water, attached to a transparent reptilian form that blends into the water almost perfectly.
Sam Fort: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (14) + 11 = 25
Samuel feels his joints and skin stiffening for a moment, but the feeling passes.
Samuel Sledge
uh rynjin u know flesh 2 stone is 6th lvl spel yes?!?
"There's something in there. It's transparent, got glowing eyes, some kinda lizard creature. Made my joints go stiff when it saw me."
Sledge closes the door.
"What's the plan?"
I could use my ability to gain temporary feats to get blind-fight and go down there and beat it to death.
Jones Shei'lac
I ain't going in there. Any Knowledge I could roll?
Jones Shei'lac
Jones gives the vials of basilisk blood to Darius, then risks a glance into the room.
Kn. Arcana: 1d20 + 14 + 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 14 + (2) + 1 = 23
Fort: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (12) + 5 = 17
Rynjin
This is a basilisk...though not a standard one. Jones knows that its gaze can turn you to stone, but not much else about the particulars of this variant (save that it is, obvious to the naked eye, transparent).
Samuel Sledge
"We can just leave it alone for now. We'll come back later and deal with it."
Samuel Sledge
"Alright, then. Let's deal with the slime door."
Sledge goes to the door and opens it, quickly stepping back and making sure the others are doing the same.
Rynjin
The room appears entirely empty from the doorway. though the goopy sound is incredibly close. A bit of goo, black as night drips from just over the door.

Zin's up first, but all of you act before unidentified goop. What do?
Samuel Sledge
Nobody does anything until we've identified it.
Jones Shei'lac
Kn. Dungeoneering?: 1d20 + 9 + 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (10) + 9 + (5) + 1 = 25

"Ick. You think you can burn it?"
Cast Flaming Sphere at the door then raise it up above the door.

"It's cooking. Keep going. Everyone, back away from that door. We'll take this nice and safe."
Darius Ral'algul
" Che' That goes without saying, luckily I don't have to move to KILL things. I rather be INFORMED however, so I'll wait."
Darius then summons a scimitar of force to cut at whatever is inside.
Spiritual Weapon: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (4) + 7 = 111d8 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5
Jones Shei'lac
Jones delays.
Can't do much. It's immune to precision damage, and going invisible is pointless.
Rynjin
Bruh, you don't know that IC.
But whatever. You don't have a spell or anything that can reach it anyway, I think.
The goop swings down under the ledge (it is too large to actually enter the room), and attacks the nearest target: Jones, the only one who hasn't moved.
1d20 + 8 ⇒ (11) + 8 = 19
But it misses.
Jones now recognizes it as a black pudding.
Highlights: immune Precision, Blindsight, splits into two identical puddings when hit by Slashing or Piercing damage, likes to Grab people, and it does Acid damage.
Jones Shei'lac
Yeah, that's what I meant. If it sounds like an ooze, and drips like an ooze, it's reasonable to assume it's an ooze.
Darius Ral'algul
Well if its not moving
The Spiritual weapon continues to assault whatever is in the room While Darius readies a bomb in his left hand. " Hrmph, whatever it is can be classified as stupid or under strict orders.. or unaware of what is happening. This should be over soon then. "
Spiritual Weapon: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (15) + 7 = 221d8 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3
Readied Bomb Toss: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (1) + 7 = 81d6 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7
Jones Shei'lac
Hoo boy...we need bludgeoning or AoE.
