Lini relates what she knows of these creatures to the others, then summons a ball of fire to burn up the plant-thing! Cast flaming sphere.
Fire: 3d6 ⇒ (6, 2, 3) = 11
Reflex DC 16 negates.

Based on what Lini has told him, Terrill calls on Desna to bless his blade, then makes haste to attack the fungus queen.
Activate judgments (second of three uses today) of Smiting and Justice, then charge the queen! (D4) Move speed is 40', so can get there in one round.
+1 Curve Blade, Power Attack, Charge, Judgment: 1d20 + 14 - 2 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 14 - 2 + 2 + 2 = 22 vs flat-footed, no?
Curve blade damage, Power Attack: 1d10 + 9 + 6 ⇒ (8) + 9 + 6 = 23

DM Amazing Red |

Lini fails to affect the Fungus Queen with her Flaming Sphere.
Terrill charges the queen, blade in hand, but just at the last second, she dodges out of the way. Not flat-footed as she took an action.
"You look scrumptious." She says. "Why don't you work for me?" She says as she starts casting a spell.
ConcentrationDC25: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (19) + 16 = 35
Dominate Person.
Party is up again.

Though he has no idea what it is, Thunderhoof is intent on disrupting the fiendish plant's foul magics. True to his namesake, the bovine Pathfinder thunders forward to viciously trample her.
Trample: 3d8 + 14 ⇒ (6, 3, 5) + 14 = 28
DC 23 for half.

Will save, I presume?: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (17) + 10 = 27
Terrill isn't sure what the beautiful plant-woman is up to, but he's sure she needs to die. He imbues his blade with the power of Desna and strikes at her.
Activate Bane (round 3/14 today), full attack.

54 points of damage, plus 23 more if the second crit confirms with a 23 on the attack roll.

Sorry, my thread stopped updating.
will: 1d20 + 13 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 13 + 2 = 20 - I also have a stone which gives me a reroll vs. compusion (which mind fog is) at the end of the round if that fails.
spellcraft: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (11) + 4 = 15
"Let us deal with this bi... bothersome troublemaker. "
Chjara moves up to next to the queen, and casts a magic circle vs. evil. B3. This would have taken part of last turn too.

![]() |

Will: 1d20 + 13 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 13 + 2 = 17 - Now failing with even more style!
...hmmm, not to be cheesy here, but since I just threw up a magic circle, does that afford me another will save? 'tis an enchantment compulsion effect which I believe falls under the purvey of prot. vs. evil. It's not really an "exercise mental control" effect, so my inclination would be "no".

Pregenerated PFS Character |

"Go get her, Friend-friend. Don't hold back."
Lini and her friend move out of the foggy area while Lini grabs a wand. The big feline hurries to follow orders. Lini moves to F14, Droogami double-moves to E3.

DM Amazing Red |

Nope.
Duration for Chjara and Droogami: 2d6 ⇒ (6, 6) = 12
ConcentrationDC21: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (7) + 16 = 23
The Fungus Queen casts another spell. Everyone except for Lini can make a will save or be slowed as per the spell.
Shen then disappears, reappearing near near one of her sporepods! Party is up!

Chjara slowly rotates around. A green ray springs from her finger.

Terrill is about to swing again at the plant-woman when she vanishes. "Damn her!" he curses, then spots her far away. He begins to move towards her when he hears Thunderhoof's mighty moo. He accepts the surge of song and the power it gives him, and moves quickly toward the fungus queen.
Accept Raging Song, double move to Q13.

Pregenerated PFS Character |

Excellent.
Lini's furry friend gives a growl and charges toward the slippery woman, while his gnomish mistress moves around the cloud. Droogami chargesdouble moves to Q12L9, Lini double-moves to L11.
Charging Nom!! (slow, charge, GMF, rage): 1d20 + 8 - 1 + 2 + 1 + 4 ⇒ (10) + 8 - 1 + 2 + 1 + 4 = 24
Damage: 1d6 + 4 + 1 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 + 1 + 4 = 10
Trip: 1d20 + 8 - 1 + 2 + 1 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 8 - 1 + 2 + 1 + 4 = 19
Edit: It has been pointed out to me that PvP is against the rules of PFS. I'm guessing Droogami can't occupy Q15, so I guess he can't charge. Instead he'll double move (50' total due to slow) to L9.

![]() |

Hrm, I just realised I didn't roll my save vs. slow earlier, so I guess I should just roll them in order. Let me know if there's an issue with that.
Will vs Slow: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (4) + 10 = 14
Will vs Suggestion, +2 vs enchantments: 1d20 + 10 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 10 + 2 = 23
Looks like I failed the first and made the second. Which would mean I didn't get to double move, so I'm far away. How do you want to resolve this, Red?
Also, thanks for not scratching up Terrill, Droogami.

Will: 1d20 + 10 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 10 + 1 = 13 (+4 vs fey and plant-targeted effects)
The gnome pauses for a moment and tilts her head at the strange woman-fungus-thing. "Well... I haven't ever kissed a fungus-person before..." she says thoughtfully. "Okay!"
She then hurries toward the woman in order to enact the most excellent suggestion. Double move to R15.

Thunderhoof continues his bellowing as he thunders forward and leans down to gore the plant-woman.

I had to double-move to get there. I don't have any actions left to kiss her this turn.

Chjara slowly casts dimension door to instantaneously get herself closer to the fight R12.
Lini and whoever the X is are now in a magic circle vs. evil. If the plant lady is evil they get a reroll vs. enchantment[charm or compulsion] with a +2 morale bonus.

![]() |

Damn! It took me so long to add up all the attack and damage bonuses that just as I posted that I used my liberation ability to ignore slow, then teleported into flank and attacked her, she went down. Once again, I'll save the dimensional hop and round of bane. Feral knows how relieved that makes me, to be conserving limited resources..
"Well done, everyone," Terrill says, still fighting off the effects of the fungus queen's magic. "I was a little ways away, but did I see Lini trying to kiss her? What was your plan with that tactical approach, Lini? Never seen that before."
He slowly moves over to the dead fungal woman and pokes at her with his blade, looking for anything of value. As he does this, he asks, "Where does the map say we need to go now?"

![]() |

Thunderhoof snorts again and prods at the slain fungus-woman with a horn.
Once we get close to the area marked on the map, Thunderhoof will unWildshape and reapply Heroism.

Pregenerated PFS Character |

Lini's brows knit together in slight confusion. "Well... you see..." She holds up one hand as if to explain, then the confusion on her face intensifies. "It all made sense at the time," she explains with a shrug.

DM Amazing Red |

Terrill finds nothing of value on the former queen of fungi. The damp yet firm ground of Tanglebriar gradually descends toward expanses of standing water. Although suspended sediment and matted heaps of decaying plant material obscure the swamp’s bottom, trees and reeds are still numerous here, suggesting the water cannot be terribly deep. In places, concentrations of plants have trapped silt and organic matter to create miniature islands amid the dark expanse of water. The elves’ directions indicate that Fihralaz claims this section of the swamp as his own, and his lair is likely several hundred feet from the shore.
From here on in, everything is difficult terrain, and acrobatics DC increase by 2. Let me know when you are done prebuffing.

After regaining his smaller and less bovine form, Thunderhoof chants a spell to fill himself with heroic prowess. Heroism.
”So the demon’s lair is near? Be prepared, his advantage will be greatest here.”
All ready!

”Hezrou are large powerful demons”, Krojun explains. ”They wield a number of demonic magics including the power to teleport across space, assume a gaseous form, and speak a word of pure unholy might. The latter is its most dangerous power as far as I know.”
The big shoanti frowns as he considers his companions.
Lini, you might want to wildshape ahead of time. If he rolls well on the blasphemy, it could instant-paralyze you.

Terrill considers the question as well, hoping to come up with anything Thunderhoof might have missed.
Knowledge (planes): 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (19) + 5 = 24
Piling on the buffs:
Activate Lucky Presence, good for one re-roll. Then cast:
Heroism: +2 morale bonus on attack rolls, saves, and skill checks (90 mins)
Weapon of Awe: +2 sacred bonus on damage rolls, on a critical target is shaken for 1 round with no saving throw (9 mins)
Shield of Faith: +2 deflection bonus to AC - would be +3 but Terrill already has a +1 ring of protection (9 mins)
When we're a little closer, will also cast:
Divine Favor: +3 luck bonus on att and dmg rolls (1 minute)
Unerring Weapon: +4 to confirm crits (9 rounds)
Spells left: 2/4/1
Chjara - I assume we'll have some sort of Protection from Evil up? Terrill can cast it communally if necessary.
