Trosvod "The Wyrm" |

Trosvod yawns and stretches.
Then immediately regrets both as his wounds remind him of the battering he received the other day.
HP: 4 (1 + level 3) /27

"No grub? What the frack?", the reptilian says out loud, looking around for breakfast.

Nosmo Valencourt |

It takes almost as much resolve to choke down the food provided without retching as Nosmo has had to summon to face combat.
"I'll say this, at least: I don't miss the heat and humidity of Nakondis," Nosmo muses, his groaning voice belaying any trace of actual optimism in his words.
In his secluded cubby, he busies himself with his "project." He grinds the scale against the impromptu whetstone.
Engineering Check, Make Lockpick: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (7) + 11 = 18
Finally, he nervously and surreptitiously shows off his work to his comrades before attempting to apply the pick with trembling hands.
Engineering Check, Pick Locks: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (13) + 11 = 24

GM Kevin O'Rourke |

Afraid not you guys are all effectively chained to a radiator away in a corner.
The guard sneers at Trosvod "You got your meal last night alien. You're just laying about. Typical of a vesk... lazy, greedy and demanding!" The other guards begin laughing.
While the guards taunt and gets Nosmo's nights labour has been put to good use slowly releasing their bindings.
For now the guards have not noticed, there are still three present. If you wait sooner or later one will go for their meal break but they might notice before that happens.

Nosmo Valencourt |

Nosmo's eyes dart pleadingly to his companions. They practically scream, "Now? Do we act now?" His face bespeaks uncertainty, although easily mistaken for simple fear by casual onlookers. The engineer's muscles refuse to relax, and he remains primed to leap into action should his companions judge that now is the right time.
I figure I can either help Trosvod against his target - going low while he goes high - or I can use Overload to jam a door and prevent reinforcements from intervening.

Trosvod "The Wyrm" |

Trosvod gets the hint and moves more swiftly than many would expect from a vesk, as he tries to slash the nearest guard in the face.
Vesk Claws vs Guard Face: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6
Damage (not archaic): 1d3 + 2 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 2 + 4 = 9

GM Kevin O'Rourke |

I amn't 100% sure AXL but they don't have melee weapons out so its not an issue. I think they would get an AOO if they did though.
@Nosmo, if you help Trosvod I'll let you roll a d20 and let him keep his roll or that one. There are in depth rules for aid but sometimes it's best to keep it simple.
@Trosvod, you get your BAB on the claws attack roll. Even if you are using deadly aim you should still be at a +3 to hit. Remember you can make multiple attacks with a -4 for next round

Trosvod Extra Roll from Nosmo: 1d20 + 3 + 2 - 4 ⇒ (4) + 3 + 2 - 4 = 5
For his part, Elthaeron spoke words that were old before anyone had even dreamed of exploring the depths of space. His rifle materialized in his hands, and a shot was quickly fired. Already savaged by Trosvod the guard collapses to the ground. The guard never had a chance to draw his pulsecaster pistol or standard taclash.
AXL charges at the other guard who is caught off guard by the sudden assault but his armour protects him but is never the less kept off balance by the android.

Attack, Aid AXL or Trosvod: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (18) + 2 = 20

Trosvod "The Wyrm" |

Trosvod keeps pressing forward with wild, brutal slashes, now with Azlanti blood flying off his talons.
First Attack: 1d20 + 3 + 2 - 4 ⇒ (14) + 3 + 2 - 4 = 15
Damage (not archaic): 1d3 + 2 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 2 + 4 = 7

Damage (not archaic): 1d3 + 2 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 2 + 4 = 8

GM Kevin O'Rourke |

Elthaeron smirked as he put another shot into the surprised guards. Fighting was certainly easier when the foe wasn’t ready!

The second guard collapses. Without knowing how long you have before the other returns you or someone else shows up you have a chance to secure their equipment.
Total Loot from both of the Guards
Ceremonial officer plate (infrared sensors) x2
Pulsecaster pistol with battery (20 charges) x2
Standard taclash x2

Nosmo Valencourt |

The second guard has scarcely hit the floor before Nosmo rips the pulsecaster from his limp hand, as though frightened the downed foe might still squeeze off a shot. Before taking up the pistol himself, though, Nosmo sets about prying the armor off the guard's body, instructing his exocortex to begin interfacing with the armor's systems.
Since I am a squishy mechanic, may I claim the other pistol and one of the armor suits?

Trosvod "The Wyrm" |

Trosvod begins looting the other guard, first seizing a taclash.
@Nosmo: fine by me!
@All: Trosvod's fighting style benefits from being in heavy armour. Plus he's still pretty mangled from the fight beforehand. Does anyone object if he grabs a suit?

Trosvod "The Wyrm" |

I'll take that as two for Trosvod
Trosvod gets the armour onto him swiftly and efficiently. It's almost as if he is not entirely unused to rapidly looting dead bodies.
"So, we getting the rest out? Warm bodies - or cold - would be handy for help!"

Nosmo Valencourt |

Nosmo pauses abruptly, one leg already slipped inside the armor.
"Oh, right!" he exclaims and shuffles awkwardly over to the access panel, the armor still around his legs.
Would this be a Computers or an Engineering check?

GM Kevin O'Rourke |

Sorry I should have specified, it would have been computers.
The doors to the cells begin to open. Grub the caterpillar like alien is in reasonable physical condition compared to the others.
Letrimakinetamal is hampered by it's dried out shell but can still mobilise slowly under it's own power.
Mothkala the vesk is malnourished but if provided with food might be of assistance.
Tseechik the shirren is barely able to stand but can walk very slowly.
Vertash the rather large Ikeshti is in the best condition but with a look of blood lust in her eyes she moves towards the door.

Nosmo Valencourt |

Nosmo sheepishly watches Elthaeron crack the release code upon the cells, so the mechanic shuffles a few steps away and continues sliding on his armor. He stands guard, a step or two behind Trosvod, with his purloined pulsecaster in hand.
As the cell doors whine open, he nervously looks over his shoulder at the newly freed prisoners. No words come to his lips, so he offers a nod to them, his anxiety masked behind the Azlanti helmet.

AXL23 a.k.a. Axel |

AXL looks back at the assembled 'team', and nods at Nosmo and the others.
Before leaving, he does look around for canteens or some sort of water container to pour over Letrimakinetamal.
Adding to that, if the soldiers had rations or any edibles, he will offer them to Mothkala.
Last but not least, he tries to improvise a crutch of sorts to assist Tseechik moving around.
Not sure what/if I should roll? :P
"If we want to stand a chance to escape and survive, we all need to be as strong as possible, given the situation - and work together"

Elthaeron added his fire to the melee, But was somewhat perturbed on how quickly everything was going south. He had imagined something like the old holovids, where the heroes would quickly and efficiently Sneak past the armed guards and steal a ship before anyone realized they had left their cells. Now it looked like the walls would be red before that could happen.

Trosvod jogs towards the chaos, taclash in hand.
Somewhat getting his composure back, Elthaeron kept shooting. It helped that the others were keeping the attention of his targets. Already badly injured the guard collapses to the ground.
AXL continues the pressure on the guards.
