Skin tinted blue with green hair, Raina is a child of the ocean. She is in love with history and stories of the past, and wherever she goes, she tells the story of her own people:

They say our people came from a union of merman named Eadro and a human woman named Selune. It was a forbidden love as the people of the land and the people of the sea were not meant to mix. We were born of their love and we lived on the coastlines and tended the waters on the shores. We looked human enough from a distance, but the bluish-green tint of our skin exposed their love, so we often hid in the shallows, only going on land to hunt. But we are a folly people, as changeable as the waters we lived in, and in our folly we grew reckless and brave. We spent more and more time on land. And the more time we spent on land, the more we loved it. And it was with this mistake that we were caught.

When Umberlee, the God of the Sea, discovered our people, she became enraged. She threatened Eadro and Sulune and forbade them from ever seeing each other again. In her wrath, she brought forth a tidal wave to eradicate us. Eadro and Selune stood against her, hand in hand, to protect their children. Our people were saved from the waters, but our village was destroyed. Umberlee did not like this. She banished Selune to the moon where she could never walk upon the land again, and Eadro to the bottom of the oceans, where he could never to see the surface again. Selune was distraught. She cried; and as her tears touched the moon they became silver. They rained down upon the ocean and sank all the way to Eadro so he would never forget her. Eadro collected them all and left some in the shallows for us to find. To this day we keep them with us. They protect us from the wrath of Umberlee and have allowed our people to survive.
Those of us who tend the shores wear the silver teardrop, made from the tears of our mother.

Far too fey in appearance to be beautiful Shimmer's purple eyes are set a bit too far apart and her ears are long and seem to turn independently of each other in a disconcerting way. She wears the robes of a scholar and moves with the grace of a cat. Armed with bow and rapier and a brace of daggers she has chosen no armor to protect her. A strange and arcane headband adorns her forehead. Perhaps it is a relic of the high elves or some trinket she found while exploring the wilds. She changes the subject if the item is mentioned.

Shimmer seems to study the creature before her more than just listen. When she is done speaking the wizard responds I have never met a Water Genasi before Raina. Thank you for your story. I am Shimmer Darkstar and perhaps one day, I will share my story with you as well. It is more personal and while not a happy tale, it is not yet over so there is still hope for me I think.

I'm going to start this, others who want in can still join us. Happy 4th of July everyone, to those who celebrate it.

A group of 4 redbrand ruffians are starting fights in the sleeping giant inn and they beating up others for their money, threatening others with their weapons. You are all outside staring in through the windows seeing this and you know the redbrand ruffians are trouble. The front door is 15 feet away and another 15 feet to get to a redbrand ruffian, what do you do?

Those ruffians would be members of the Redbrand. They disrupt the peace here and harm the innocent. I cannot stand idle and watch such. I could use some help my new friends. Shimmer casts Mage Armor and stealths to the front door as she pulls her rapier.

Stealth: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (10) + 9 = 19

that beats their passive perception, they don't get active checks, they are distracted.
Shimmer opens the door just at the right time when they have their backs turned away from the entrance as she peers through a window nearby and times it righ, and does it so quietly, she sneaks in, unaware that a new person has just entered the building. Though people do see you, somebody is facing that way, or at least looking at the door, you're not stealthing from everyone in the building, just the bad guys. It would not matter if your stealth was 100, someone sees you enter. None of the innocents say anything about you entering, they know it would be a bad idea when you come here to help..

Raina follows through the door, but moves in a completely different direction than Shimmer.

She then casts Shape Water, and pulls the beer out of a mug and dumps the ale on the head of one of the ruffians.

Now, I think it's time you boys leave, she says, pulling their attention towards her so her allies can sneak up behind them.

That should give everyone else advantage on their stealth checks.

All four ruffians go towards Raina with swords raised, none of them dare to turn their back on her, none are even looking at the door, the now slight ajar door. Oh, I'm really scared, of your Magician tricks. We are going to knock you and take you prisoner. Or you can give me all your money lead us to your rich house and we can rob everything you have. Your hands will be tied up so you can't cast spells. You are also going to help us rob the town with help of your magic after we are through robbing the house and untie your hands and you get none of the cut, otherwise you are our prisoner As he says with a very threatening and aggressive voice.

The second ruffians chimes in Yeah we don't want to hurt a pretty lady like you, actually what is the point, a pretty lady like you is pretty harmless. As he laughs and says with a cocky voice.

The other two laugh, a cocky laugh. yes they will have advantage alright, though once combat breaks out, they will be focusing fire on you.

Shimmer quietly stands and begins her blade dance. Stepping forward she impales the rear-most ruffian with her rapier. As she hits, a green flame leaps from her chosen enemy to the next closest one to him, burning the man for 4 points.

Rapier Sneak attack, Green Flame Blade: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (10) + 7 = 171d8 + 1d6 + 5 ⇒ (3) + (6) + 5 = 14

Vynisia really had little care that ruffians were beating folk up for coin, but she did care that they were threatening her group, with an almost languid laziness she hisses a Poison spray at the nearest thug.

Shimmer stabs a redbrand in the back badly wounding him con save: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2 and then the warlock makes him choke over poisonous gas, still he survives.

They hear the Dragonborn. Don't think of us as bandits, think of us as "Entrepreneurs". If you help us, you can get a part of our cut, now as a Dragonborn, you should breathe fire on the people attacking us.

I have no patience for such ruffian trash. Seeing the enemy grouped up, Shimmer will move to position the spell to not catch her allies and cast Thunderwave.

The redbrands have taken over and the guards will never be able to deal with it. Even though I have given you instructions to the hideout, it is heavily guarded. In fact the guards in this town are very few. The townsfolk are weak, stupid and vulnerable.

For example, not long ago I was travelling through the marshlands of Chelimber to discover an ancient wizard tower. The tower was buried for so long that the earth grew up around it and created an island! Ogres had settled on it and we had to sneak past carefully, avoiding their patrols...

She continues the story weaving riveting tale of her past adventure.

Before the heroes leave the sleeping giant, they are approached by a woman named Halia. Please I beg of you, the wizard, the leader of the redbrands is trouble, and very dangerous. Bring his body back to me dead and I'll pay you all 100 gold You can roleplay this out if you want, but I'm also giving you the next scene as well

Also the rebrand hideout has 2 entrances, a south entrance from the forest, not a door, just an open caveway like system, which leads into a room with a creature that all the redbrands fear and avoid, and you have an east entrance. Trough the front door. The redbrand you captured told you all this. When you go to check out the hideout, the outside is not guarded, but it is a large hideout.

None of the outside is guarded, you can circle the whole building if you want, and nothing.

The doors of the Sleeping Giant burst open and a large wild looking man with brown dreadlocks and a short scruffy beard bursts through them, "I heard brawling!" he says looking around with striking blue eyes. "Hmm, too late, I've only been in town a day and these men seem to be causing trouble all over... Good job" he finishes, seeing the Redbrands laid out on the floor.

Holgar wears simple cloths made of animal pelts, a Longsword hangs at his left hip and slung over his back is a large quiver of javelins.

Heroes enter the room called the Crevase
A cold breeze fills this large natural cavern, carrying with it the faint scent of decaying flesh. A crevase divides the cavern and is flanked by the two rough stone columns that support the twenty-foot-high ceiling. Two arched wooden bridges span the chasm.
This room 8, is directly connected to room 7 north, room 9 southwest, room 10 west, room 11 northwest and room 1 south east(but you need a perception check to find the secret door). You are like in the center of the hideout.

You all see a nothic in the room. Halt, who goes there? what do you want? This is my treasure room, thy shalt not touch any of it. Are you with the redbrands trying to touch my treasure? why you here? I am hungry, I need meat.

Roleplay out this if you want, especially if you want his treasure, or you can do combat (not recommended), but I also need two perception checks from everyone to spot some secret doors. One to spot the way to room 1 and another to spot the secret doors in room 7,
as room 7 and 8 are technically one room.
