Very good, Ander! I love that this was actually an eventuality that the author had mentioned. I really didn't think you would make the roll, but Paizo's dice roller came through for you! To reward you, I am giving you inspiration. I love this kind of thing!

Grand Lodge

I wonder what happened to DaWay (Godfrey) and Turok (DoubleGold)? They have been noticeably silent. Turok showed up for just a sec to roll HD then nothing.

Well, we will wait a majority of the weekend, but may at least set the stage for you guys a little later today.

Ok, take care of her. We'll work through it...

Busy work schedule, I have been reading this. Also, I remember some of this mod as I played it when it first came out, but not all of it, so I'm doing my best not to make too many group decisions. I will be doublechecking all the rooms however, when the dungeon is clear, don't want to be searching for extra treasure when we are in danger.

Grand Lodge

MACROS | RPG Chronicles | Slides

Ok, gotcha. Don't know to what extent you guys want me to "auto-pilot" you in combat. For me, the story takes precedent, but some people don't like the auto-pilot option.

In PbP there isn't any other option if people aren't posting.

Someone who isn't posting is holding up every single other person at the virtual table, botting is necessary.

Grand Lodge

MACROS | RPG Chronicles | Slides

I know, it just feels more questionable when it is for organized play. :p

Thankfully, we have been keeping up a pretty good posting rate. We are almost done! :) Great job everyone!

Do you guys want to head back to town, resolve things there, and return to further explore?

Technically you can end right here, but as Sen said, you have a mysterious door and a key to open it.

Turok explored the kitchens, but kinda glossed over the barracks/living quarters, and there is still a whole wing that hasn't been explored.

But it is up to you guys, I am up for either option.

male Human Fighter/3 AC15 HP 31/31 Init:+3 PP:14 SW [ ] AS [ ]

I think we should finish it off

Grand Lodge

MACROS | RPG Chronicles | Slides

You also have the option to go out and set up camp outside to take a long rest, if you wish.

Grand Lodge

MACROS | RPG Chronicles | Slides

@Uriah, I looked back and you are totally right, though, Spernik did mention that he had some injured "friends", but the offer to help did not come. That was the perspective that I was taking.

That being said, he still knew that he was betraying your trust, even if he had a twinge of guilt in doing so (else he would not have bothered apologizing.)

Oddly enough, the back-to-back criticals from the Spiritual Weapon kicked off the fanaticism that you had not seen before and by that time he was beyond saving. Not that any of you were thinking that at that point anyway. ;)

Init +4 | HP 33/33 | AC 14 | S-1/D+6/C+1/I+2/W+0/C+7 | Perc +5 | Insp: [ ] Consumables

Meh, I figured it wasn't going to end well...especially with the first couple of actions being an attack and an intimidate roll. It's all good.

We should probably take a long rest...and Sen really wants to see what's behind the door. Anything for information, after all.

I say finish it off, plus I have a faction mission to complete.

Yeah, I like the idea of camping outside and taking a long rest, unless of course there is a time limit to complete missions and faction missions, which I doubt there is.

Grand Lodge

MACROS | RPG Chronicles | Slides

The only part that had a sense of urgency was the Spernik part. The rest of the temple has been around for hundreds of years, another night won't matter any.

Scarab Sages

Male Dwarf Gunslinger Guntank: Spd:20, Init:3, AC:17, T:13, FF:14, 1 cold and fire resistance, 14/14 HP, Fort:5(Hardy), Ref:5, Will:2, 1/1 Grit, 5 Perc, Darkvision

So, one of us could take him back to town, while the rest of us set up camp to make sure nothing arrives while we do that.

AC 19; HP 28/28; Init +2; Conditions: None; Spells Used (1) 0/4 (2) 2/2

Yeah, but that was a two day journey, so if someone takes him back then they will be writing themselves out of the rest of the adventure and handicapping the rest of the team.

Grand Lodge

MACROS | RPG Chronicles | Slides

So are you going to clear the rest before a long rest, or after? That way I know how to proceed.

male Human Fighter/3 AC15 HP 31/31 Init:+3 PP:14 SW [ ] AS [ ]

I am cool either way.

Grand Lodge

MACROS | RPG Chronicles | Slides

Turok, I think you may have mistaken what I meant. There was no time limit, just that time was a factor until the Spernik situation was resolved. Now I don't need to keep track of time at all and have no pressure to. So there is not rush to get Spernik back to town, the only rush would be to get him back before the body begins to smell. That is if you are bringing the body back at all.

Remember, the Lord Sage only cared about the tomes being returned, and he was the one offering the reward.

I just want to make sure that your insistence is because of your character's choice, not because of information that I gave you. :)

Chaotic Good Half-Elf Paladin (Noble) 1; AC: 16; HP: 11; Perception +0; Initiative: +0; Spell Slots Remaining: LV1 - 0/0; Inspiration: 0

Short rest - rock on!

Any reason why people are refusing a long rest, which is what I need?

Chaotic Good Half-Elf Paladin (Noble) 1; AC: 16; HP: 11; Perception +0; Initiative: +0; Spell Slots Remaining: LV1 - 0/0; Inspiration: 0

I was simply under the assumption that there was not much left to the scenario. We could likely finish out without the necessity for your long rest, considering that you may be the only PC that actually needs one.

Mmm. In her current condition, Sen would probably rather rest or at least get proper healing (from a Cleric or potion) before proceding, just in case there's another fight. Can't be too careful when you might get ambushed (or thrust unexpectedly into combat by reckless companions). Does anyone have a potion or healing abilities they're willing to use on me?

Unfortunately, I do not.

MACROS | RPG Chronicles | Slides

Somebody let me know when you come down to your final decision. Even after all this discussion, nothing seems to bother you guys.

EDIT: It seems that aside from Sen, the vote is for short rest. Wrath said either way, and Godfrey has voted against returning to town first.

Sen what is your hp total after Uriah's healing?

Chaotic Good Half-Elf Paladin (Noble) 1; AC: 16; HP: 11; Perception +0; Initiative: +0; Spell Slots Remaining: LV1 - 0/0; Inspiration: 0

I can give you 5 HP with my Lay on Hands ability, but I would rather use it, if necessary, during combat. What are you at now?

I believe I'm currently at 7 out of 13. I'd like to be more like 10 before moving on. And I don't care which door we try first, as long as we check both before heading back. And no need to drag the body with us.

Ok, where are you planning to take your short rest? Circle room? Great Hall? Up above, outside of the temple?

EDIT: Also, is anyone taking the ring of fire resistance?

okay, thanks for the clarification, I was thinking we wouldn't get paid if a day late or something like that, or that we were told to bring the stuff back in X number of days.

Since nobody wanted to heal Sen and she's feeling a bit squishy, I nominate her.

This is probably the intensest, boldest, out of control character I've ever played. I'm trying to play a macho man character jerk know it all, instead of mr. nice guy with manners, who I'm use to playing, so if anyone thinks I'm overdoing things, let me know so I can tone him down a little.

No biggie, the personality clashes in this group are beyond anything I have ever seen (i.e. Sir Adrian and Godfrey), but despite it all, we have been successful, thus far.

Sounds good to me. Unless someone objects in the next day or so...

Grand Lodge

MACROS | RPG Chronicles | Slides

No worries, I was thinking it was something like that. We have a lot of strong personalities in this group. No what will be awesome is if this group stays together long enough to build a sort of begrudging respect for each other.

As for the ring, anyone may use it for the course of the adventure and then someone else can claim it at the end, if you want. I will just need the final decision by the time that I create your Adventure Log at the end.

You mean, like use the exact same characters for another adventure? I would, but I think Turok will level up soon. He is 950 exp away from 6500. So he will either level up here, or the next one.

male Human Fighter/3 AC15 HP 31/31 Init:+3 PP:14 SW [ ] AS [ ]

Also, is this just one session? I think it can sometimes be possible to level up mid game, especially we take rest?? I might be to hit level 2 and get action surge!

Grand Lodge

MACROS | RPG Chronicles | Slides

Let me check my math to see if the level 1s can advance with the long rest.

EDIT: It looks like you have done it. If you would like to level the 1s up, you can take a long rest.
