Abaal Zadeir, Sword of Katapesh
|
Abaal stares at both men with a look of growing incredulity. "'Split the bill?' 'Fruit farmer?' I will have you both know that I am a man of honor!"
Yeah, I know it's the edible fig sorts of dates rather than the other kinds, but with a Diplomacy check total of 5 and Abaal's perpetual problems parsing social mores (his low-charisma flaw)--well, comedy gold.
Anibal Ibarr
|
Anibal looks at Stark, and raises an eyebrow.
"Yeah that makes more sense.", he coughs after dodging a fairly awkward situation, and starts rummaging through his money to count 10 platinum pieces, then orders the bottle in question.

as the farmers wife drinks on her drink she tells you what she knows "There’s a camp outside the city
where these Roidirans meet up with one another and spend
the night before heading north towards the jungle. I don’t
know where they go after that. But I got some work on the
side on my day off escorting these folks to the camp, and
they were just wrong. They were chanting or something,
starting each new bit with ‘There is no meaning; there is
the goddess,’ something like that. I asked the head guy what
they meant. I’ll never forget what one of them said to me:
‘Only when your mind is empty will you hear the scream
of a hundred mouths crying out the goddess’s word.’ You
better believe I didn’t say two words to him after that.”
Tesson

Listening only about the first info, Tesson raises from his seat.
"Well let's meet these guys in their camp and offer them drinks, then!"

As the yall leave the city the next day,
You pass a group of silently protesting Roidirans holding
signs in Kelish that say “Give up now,” and “Embrace the
void.” One even holds a grotesque, painted caricature of
Sarenrae hanging from gallows. If asked, the Roidiran
holding it up says simply, “Your blind eyes wouldn’t
understand the irony.”
A few hours into your hike ypu come accross an oasis. Where you can rest and refill your water skins if you would like. Next to this oasis is the remains of another oasis that has dried up.
what would you guys like to do
Anibal Ibarr
|
"Fascinating, this phenomenon. This place is rich in water, but the other is dried up. I don't think I recall that being a thing."
How far is the dry oasis? If it's nearby Anibal would walk up to it and see what's wrong.

As you guys continue on you travel for a few more hours you come upon the abandoned mine that is being used as the shrine.
The equipment from the abandoned mine seems to keep a respectful distance from a hollow at the cavern’s end, as
though these trappings of civilization are repelled by what
lies on the other end.
A majestic statue of Roidira announces the shrine’s entrance,
covered in vines. Roidira appears tall and cloaked, with thick
curls of hair that are richly detailed in the stone. Her hand
is outstretched to the distance as if pointing to some far off
but attainable truth. A plaque at the base of the statue states,
in both Common and Kelish “Certainty and understanding
cannot coexist.” Two supplicant Roidirans stand on either
side of the statue, all but lost to the world.
