PFB Future?

Miniatures

So I was looking through the exhibitors GAMA Trade show Panels presentations on figures.com and it was a bit striking to me that that neither Paizo nor Wizkids had any mention of the PFB lines and indeed Paizo announced Ninja Division as the purveyor of SF PPM. Also in the exhibitor galleries WizKids did not have much outside of Nolzur/Deepcuts and the already released Deadly Foes and Paizo had a just a nit of Deep Cuts. Now granted I don't recall last year's GAMA news but this doesn't bode well in my mind for the future of PFB PPMs from Wizkids. Am I off base?

Yeah—there's nothing to worry about here. WizKids has more Pathfinder Battles in the works in both prepainted plastic and Deep Cuts (primered plastic) formats. Ninja Division is doing Starfinder and only Starfinder. And Reaper is still doing Pathfinder minis in unpainted metal and Bones (unpainted plastic) formats.

As for GAMA Trade Show, I'd be very surprised if Crown of Fangs wasn't present at the booth—I know they had it in their Toy Fair booth just a few weeks ago. I can't tell you why they haven't announced the set after that—the timing on things like that is up to them—but work has been done on it (and on the set after that, and maybe even a little bit on the set after that). We hope they keep making Pathfinder Battles minis for a long, long time.

Hot Damn Vic; you just made my evening!

I hope you keep making Pathfinder Battles for a long time, too! These sets keep getting better and better.

On a side note, I saw some pictures of non-painted Starfinder minis from Ninja Division on Facebook. They look good, but are the bases really not going to match the Pathfinder Battles line style?

If you're talking about the weird octagonal bases on the starships they showed, those are just prototypes; the final product won't look like that. However, they won't match the Pathfinder Battles line either—Starfinder space combat uses a hex map, so the bases are most likely going to be hexagonal. Bases on character minis will be round, but I can't promise they'll have the same profile as WizKids minis.
