adventure deck 6 printing question

Pathfinder Adventure Card Game General Discussion

Silver Crusade

Hi

I'm a little confused. I understand that there may be two different prints of Adventure Deck 6 in circulation and I don't know which one I should purchase, or if it makes any difference.

I am concerned that the second print run, which I think is printed in the USA, may hold different sized cards than those in the first print run (printed in China) and that the side-loading box for the second print run may not fit correctly in the PACG Rise of the Runelords box.

I am also concerned that the first print run of adventure deck 6 may have poor quality colour making the backs of the cards easily identifiable, which would be just as much a problem as having well-printed cards that are not the same size as those in the rest of my game (all Chinese printing).

Are my fears unfounded? Can I safely purchase either print edition, or should I deliberately opt for one over the other?

If you have all first printings, you should try to get a first printing of deck six. Although there are variations on the back printings, that's been true for all first printing decks, so if you're not noticing it on your present stuff, you shouldn't have a problem with this deck.

If you're not able to find a first printing, it shouldn't matter massively. I've received a second printing of Spires, opposed to my first printing of everything else. The tab is a bit longer, but doesn't affect closing the box. At present I haven't used any of the sixth deck in anger, and I (clear) sleeve all my cards, but my initial checks don't seem to have allowed me to track the differences.

Thanks, I'm going to see what I can find at Paizo Con UK this weekend :)

The primary difference is a very slight (but noticeable when shuffling) size difference in between the 1st and 2nd prints. The color variation for the most part in my all 1st print set was minimal. One of the decks, it was either deck 1 or 2, had some cards that are noticable without sleeves, but it really hasn't impacted the game for me as it really was minimal (maybe a half a dozen cards in the whole set).
