Really? I found the very first one an offensive stereotype and the others aren't any better.
You know, I laughed when I read them, then immediately felt chagrined--black humor will do that though. I suppose, though, when you go to a comedy club you have to be ready to know you're going to laugh at things that will start fights under normal circumstances.
I first read this last night, and don't remember seeing the American listed, but at the time I fully expected that the American write-up would poke fun at cowboys, illiterates, fundamentalists, warmongers, and patriots so zealous they are character-stock for the resident of Room 101. I am pleasantly not too surprised (and chuckling as I read the actual American write-up) to see I was on the mark with my guesses.
It's all in fun. I can laugh at myself ('cause I'm a pretty funny guy, of course).

Ghurka:
+6 dex. +2 two other abilities of choice.
every ghurka starts first level as a 10th level ranger, 12th level rogue, and a 9th level monk.
Additionally, they all have a unique feat called "kukri tasmanian devil whirlwind cleave" that allows them to attack every opponent within 100 feet of them every round, but only when they're pissed off.
