Is that Valeros on page 22 in winter armor? If so, pretty sweet.
I like the continued blending of art with the 2 groups of Iconics. I wonder if Merisiel and Harsk will often be paired up in art together.

That does kind of break my heart a little. I've really loved the idea of the iconics being real breathing NPCs in the setting. Had a whole chunk of our campaign overlap Rise of the Runelords, with the PC's coming into Fort Rannick and travelling with the iconics down to defend Sandpoint. They became beloved. It's going to be really sad for me once they start getting turned back into first level characters and tossed into other parties. I got a lot out of the idea that Pathfinder was not only growing as a setting with each adventure path, but that it was also getting populated with cool characters with each one. Oh well...whatcha' gonna' do?

What are the Iconics doing after the AP in your game?
maybe Merisiel could start her own guild, Valeros found a fort somewhere south of Sandpoint (next to Korvosa), etc etc... and now they gather once a month to chat at the Rusty Dragon or some other Tavern...Ney Pinto.

Don't look at each group as they're own adventuring band. Look at them as 12 heroes that show how know each other and work together for the great good. To me, the modules and adventure paths aren't necessarily the stories of these characters, however the art DOES tell the stories.
Like Mirisiel saving Seoni from falling to her death in one picture.
I'm really hoping James or someone gets intimate with the iconics when they get the fiction line going. I think more fluff about them is something we definitely need.

Here'd be my hope. I'd love for the iconics to at least have a story that is indeed theirs. It need not be any of the Adventure Paths, but it would be really nice to have a sense of who these guys all are in the actual history of Golarion.
I mean while, yes, in my heart of hearts I love to picture Seoni and Valeros stalking through the ruins of Xin Shalast, I understand that the way the iconics work now that that's not really in the cards. That said I would very much like to get a sense of their actual histories. Hopefully the novels will fill that in.
It's not that I need them to have done X specific thing, just that they be real guys out there in the setting with real stories, rather than just a bunch of intriguing, but totally non-canonical templates for flesh and blood PCs to replace. Just have gotten to care about them too dang much.

Yet strangely intriguing...
BAH! You know that's not what I meant.. and even if I did.. Mike would kill you over Lini. ;)

Yeap yeap! James has made lots of little hints about the various Iconics, so many I've lost track, things that aren't in the backgrounds. He's obviously got devious plans and or ideas he's saving, just needs a place to expand on them! :)

I still wonder who is the gay one.
They all are. After Valeros (formerly Valera) put on that Girdle of Femininity/Masculinity and the rest of the Iconics teased 'her' for not handling suddenly being a 'he' very gracefully, the newly male Fighter got them all drunk one night and while they were asleep put the belt on each of them in turn.
The entire party woke up transgendered, and are waiting for someone to get high enough level to use Wish or Miracle to reverse the process.
Except for the former-Merisen, who is 'digging being a chick.'

Still pulling for Harsk.
You know, Harsk's group is the butchest one so far. Two beardy types, flighty little Lem, and butch Seelah. Just saying. I think just about any love connection in that party would be... interesting.
Let just say this, if anyone decides to indulge in some slash fanart, lets go for Seoni & Merisiel's or Seltyiel's group, okay?

I was expecting Seltyiel to be the gay one, but I will admit that although I didn't like the iconic art for Lem when he was announced the picture in LB1 on pg 22 makes him look a lot cuter.
I could see Kyra as a lesbian definitely, I'm personally hoping for one male and one female gay character just so everyone is happy =p

I was expecting Seltyiel to be the gay one...
There was some talk about this but I decided not to bring it up in his write-up. Though, I do figure he's of the "Whatever Gets Me What I Want" persuasion. ^_~
Dude, there's noone to slash Valeros with in that group!
You can borrow Seltyiel or Sajan if you want ^_~
Duly noted. :P
HOT.
So, think we've pushed the limits of message board netiquette yet?

That made me wonder...
lets consider that Valeros is a straight male and for some reason wears a Girdle of Femininity/Masculinity, turning him into Valera. Also Merisiel gets one too, becoming... Merisiello, el latin lover, and they ingage in some "interaction"... is Valeros now gay? is Merisel bi? Whows gets pregnant?so many questions....
