Liberty's Edge

Grandmaster Torch

I have little time to spend on the missions of the Pathfinder Society these days. My time is spent sailing the oceans of this world. Living and loving life.

I remember my time supporting the ideals of the Shadow Lodge fondly and if you need to call on my services again, I will be there to help.

Stopping ancient evils is something that I feel strongly about. Such things cannot be allowed to rise again. What needs to be done must be done.

I have never been anything like a perfect adventurer for the society, but I am ready to bear my sword and bow again.

I have experienced a lack of trust from some comrades of the Pathfinder Society regarding the Shadow Lodge. It does not daunt me in my business. I do not always understand the ways of others, but I am rarely bothered by their judgements.

I will do what I can to be a friend to all of my companions in the Pathfinder Scoiety. I love life and will never shed it without good cause, but I struggle to stand by when I see others disregard life with scant concern.

I will watch for the Aspis Consortium and their plots. I am a brother of the Shadow Lodge. What my eyes and ears see and hear is information that I am glad to share with my brothers in the Shadow Lodge.

Great Farak

Your concern about the welfare of your fellow Pathfinders impresses me. As I have expressed before, I find that few Pathfinders really understand the true value of life, rather they are eager to bring death.
Perhaps you have failed, as you say, and yet your admission of this failure shows to me the nobility of your spririt. Who amongst us has not seen a Pathfinder companion die? And who has truly done all that could be done to prevent that death?
Remember that all who adventure for Pathfinder glory put their lives in peril, and while watching a companion die is a horrible experience, there is not always something that you could have done to help. And to chastise yourself afterwards is perhaps unfair on yourself.
If my words are clumsy it is only that my Taldane is poor. I'm sure in Elvish my words would be clearer in their meaning.

In Brightness

I once followed the ways of the Andorans and they were good ways often. They seem to be good people, but once I knew of the Shadow Lodge, I felt that these ideals were closer to my own. I will keep my eyes and ears open. The motives of the Decemvirate do not always have the best interests of Pathfinders foremost.

Humans can be strange and cruel. Especially to each other. Sometimes I watch in silence behind my mask. I see a lot that makes me feel that humans lack a basic respect for life. I can not stop them, but I will stand apart from them and choose my actions by my own ways and beliefs. Where it seems there is none, I will find brightness.

Know that I will be watching and for those in need of assistance, I will be ready.
