Hey all,
Been playing a rogue through Curse of the Crimson Throne and we're up to level 12, I have the core stuff down and looking to expand a bit and thought I'd ask the community. I'm staying focused with combat stuff to try (in vain) to keep up with the wizard and the witch. I'm also the party face. APG, UC, hell even UM if you can find anything options are welcome. My build is about 80% attempted optimization, 20% "Cuz I felt like it".
A few notes:
1. Very short version of concept is elf grew up on the streets of Korvosa, previous career was as a dancer working at a local tavern.
2. I'm mainly going for the full-round attacks as often as possible, tumbling through the battlefield to get to flanking position.
3. I'm also 6 levels into a homebrew shadowdancer but that shouldn't make much difference from pure rogue since they come out about the same. BAB/Saves/Sneak Attack/Advanced Talents access are kept as if I stayed in rogue, some things were dropped or adjusted to make the PrC more "roguey".
Current Build: Rogue 6/Shadowdancer 6
Race: Elf
Alignment: Chaotic Good
Ability Scores: 15 point buy
STR 12 Enhanced to 14
DEX 17 Enhanced to 19
CON 10
INT 16
WIS 10
CHA 14 Enhanced to 16
Traits:
Warrior of Old (+2 Initiative)
Family Honor (+2 Bluff)
Race Option:
Silent Hunter (Stealth benefits)
Rog 1-Dodge
Rog 2-Finesse Rogue
Rog 3-Combat Reflexes
Rog 4-Combat Trick (TWF)
Rog 5-Mobility
SDr 6-Nothing
SDr 7-Exotic WP (Sawtooth Sabre)
SDr 8-Ledge Walker
SDr 9-Imp TWF
Rog 10-Crippling Strike
SDr 11-Improved Critical (Sawtooth), Defensive Roll
SDr 12-Opportunist
I'll stop you here for a moment, before we go monkey-@#$% on me about gaming the system, at the price of a low talent I received Defensive Roll, a talent I'm not a fan of and wouldn't have gotten with a pure rogue, so the count ends up the same. Again, we have a lot of homebrew stuff being thrown around in our game. Now we can move on...
So I'm wondering where to go from here.
I imagine one glaring thing missing would be Weapon Focus. Is it REALLY worth the feat at this point? "Throw some percentages at me."
One set of talents I was looking at was Deft Palm/Underhanded. Has anyone play tested these or have an opinion? How about Unwitting Ally?
Dimensional Dervish is kinda cool as it turns Shadow Jump to Shadow Pounce. Thoughts?
Long post, sorry. Your suggestions are welcome.
