Abyssal

Aura (Ex) A cleric of a chaotic, evil, good, or lawful deity has a particularly powerful aura corresponding to the deity's alignment (see the detect evil spell for details).

Aura of Chaos (Ex) You project a moderate chaotic aura.

Background Skill (Craft (Tattoos), Knowledge (History), Perform (Dance), Profession (Courtesan), Profession (Courtesan), Profession (Gambler))

Bit of Luck (Sp) You can touch a willing creature as a standard action, giving it a bit of luck. For the next round, any time the target rolls a d20, he may roll twice and take the more favorable result. You can use this ability 5 times per day.

Calistrian Prostitute (Calistria) (Diplomacy) You worked in one of Calistria's temples as a sacred prostitute, and you know how to flatter, please, and (most of all) listen. You gain a +1 trait bonus on Sense Motive checks and Diplomacy checks to gather information, and one of these skills (your choice) is always a class skill for you.

Channel Positive Energy

Channel Positive Energy (Su) You can unleash a wave of positive energy. You must choose to deal 2d6 points of positive energy damage to undead creatures or to heal living creatures of 2d6 points of damage. Creatures that take damage from channeled energy receive a DC 14 Will save to halve the damage. You can use this ability 6 times per day.

Child of the Temple (Knowledge (Religion)) You have long served at a temple in a city, where you picked up on many of the nobility's customs in addition to spending much time in the temple libraries studying your faith. You gain a +1 trait bonus on Knowledge (nobility) and Knowledge (religion) checks, and one of these skills (your choice) is always a class skill for you.

Darkvision (Ex) Range 60 ft.; Darkvision is the extraordinary ability to see with no light source at all, out to a range specified for the creature. Darkvision is black and white only (colors cannot be discerned). It does not allow characters to see anything that they could not see otherwise-invisible objects are still invisible, and illusions are still visible as what they seem to be. Likewise, darkvision subjects a creature to gaze attacks normally. The presence of light does not spoil darkvision.

Darkvision

Dazing Touch (Sp) You can cause a living creature to become dazed for 1 round as a melee touch attack. Creatures with more thatn 3 Hit Dice are unaffected. You can use this ability 5 times per day.

Demon-Spawn Skilled Demon-Spawn tieflings have a +2 racial bonus on Disable Device and Perception checks.

Domains

Fiendish Language (Ex) Tieflings speak either Abyssal or Infernal.

Fiendish Resistance (Ex) Tieflings have electricity resistance 5.

Hedonistic You are a creature of pleasure and comfort. Whenever you spend a day without gaining reward or treasure (at least 10 or more gold pieces) or spending an hour on entertainment or pleasure, attempt a DC 20 Fortitude save at the end of that day. If you fail, you begin the next day fatigued. This fatigue lasts 4 hours, or until you receive a reward or sufficient entertainment or pleasure.

Hero Points Current Points = 0; Max Allowed = 3 [Alter these values in GM Awards]

Maw (Sp) You gain a 1d6 bite attack.

Optimistic Gambler Effects that grant you morale bonuses persist 1d4 rounds longer than they normally would as a result.

Orisons You can prepare a number of orisons, or 0-level spells. These spells are cast like any other spells, but they are not expended when used and may be used again.

Prehensile Tail Many tieflings have tails, but some have long, flexible tails that can be used to carry items. While they cannot wield weapons with their tails, they can use them to retrieve small, stowed objects carried on their persons as a swift action. This racial trait replaces fiendish sorcery.

Resistance to Electricity (Ex) You may ignore 5 points of Electricity damage each time you take electricity damage.

Spontaneous Casting You can channel stored spell energy into healing spells that you did not prepare ahead of time. You can "lose" any prepared spell that is not an orison or domain spell in order to cast any cure spell of the same spell level or lower (a cure spell is any spell with "Cure" in its name).

Tiefling (Demon-Spawn)

Background:

The streets of Riddleport can be harsh for anyone, especially tieflings like Ryssa. Forced to fend for herself at a very young age, the demon-spawn became a skilled gambler. However, the rush and wealth earned from gambling brought some problems for her, namely the ‘where’s my money’ sort of problems, especially when she started acquiring huge amounts of debt. While she was able to bounce back, she continued to have trouble keeping her winnings.

Ryssa proved to be a natural at gambling, especially at games of chance, although she never liked roulette. It always gave her a bad taste in her mouth. However, she proved to be too skilled as a gambling prodigy as too many people, particularly the sore losers, accused her of cheating, something she would never stoop to doing. Thus, she would sometimes come to blows whenever someone insulted her with accusations of being a cheater. Eventually, she soon discovered that good looks and a way with diplomacy didn’t always help out and she knew that eventually someone was going to thrust a dagger in her back.

Luckily, Ryssa was able to find sanctuary with the Temple of Calistria, the House of the Silken Veil. The head priestess, Shorafa Pamodae, agreed to help Ryssa if she became a priestess of Calistria and learned to curb her gambling activities. The young tiefling agreed, although becoming a cleric of Calistria was the easy part. Despite her unusual appearance, Ryssa discovered that the teachings and ways of Calistria came naturally to her. Being a courtesan was as natural as breathing. Seeing how skilled the young tiefling was, Shorafa took Ryssa under her wing in order to both nurture her talents and groom young Ryssa into becoming her successor. Ryssa learned to tap into her inner charisma and beauty to entice new customers to the House of the Silken Veil as well as to pull her tail out of any problems that required a silver tongue and a charismatic personality. With Shorafa as her mentor, Ryssa became quite skilled as a priestess of the Savored Sting.

She occasionally did accrue gambling debts from time to time. Recently, Ryssa was able to finally settle all of her debts (including paying off a huge loan to local moneylender Lymas Smeed). She also hears of the Cheat the Devil tournament at the Golden Goblin and believes that this is her chance to strike it rich (plus she wants to support the House of Silken Veils as thanks for taking her in).

Description:

Ryssa appears to be a female pitborn tiefling covered in cherry blossom tattoos, but she is really a hermaphrodite. She has bright blue hair that she keeps tied back in a bun with three locks of hair loose in the front; the one on the right is the longest, while the left is middle length, and the one in the center being the shortest; Ryssa also has bright violet skin. She also has slitted snake-like amber colored eyes, as well as having small scales on her cheeks. The tiefling also has two sets of horns: two draconic horns sprouting from the top of her head and two ram horns on either side of her head.

She usually decorates her draconic horns with jewelry, usually ones involves chains. She also has a bony ridge down her back, which stops at the prehensile snake-like tail that hangs behind her. The end of the tail has a tuft of fur on it. Her large ears are pointed and point outwards, and she usually keeps studs and rings in them. She has a curvy and busty figure. Her lower arms, elbows, hands, the lower part of her upper legs, upper back, feet, hips, and lower legs are covered in scales. Her red colored nails appear clawlike. She also has fangs, along with a pair of snake-like fangs and a forked tongue. She has a tendency to use her fangs in battle and when people annoy her or worse, be sexist.

Personality:

Ryssa is a fun-loving, carefree tiefling woman, being a bit bubbly. She is very flirtatious when someone catches her eye. However, she does have something of a pride issue (in addition to a problem with burning a hole in her pocket, spending her money on pleasurable company and entertainment), in that she gets upset when people insult her (or her friends; in the name of all that is holy don’t do both…unless you want to get bitten). She also has thing about getting rich, which is understandable given her history of growing up on the streets and having to defend herself. Despite her flaws, she is very loyal to those she sees as her friends and is willing to risk it all to protect them. She does have a problem with people being sexist or racist, and it really sets her off if you're both. One thing can be said about Ryssa, however, and it is that she is extremely optimistic no matter how bad things get.
