I have no doubt about that, Illrigger. It would be smart business sense to negotiate all of that on the part of both parties. However, that does not mean the parties cannot let us know they are in negotiations. VTT is a growing market. I think Paizo should be focusing on it better than they have been doing. Roll20 is the largest Pathfinder VTT by far. I don't think they are going to want to ignore that sector, but stranger things have happened in business.

Actually, it kinda does mean they cannot let you know. No (successful) business ever is going to publicise who they are currently in negotiations with as it can a) damage current business relationships and b) shift the balance of power in other, ongoing negotiations.

If what you are advocating worked, then there would never be such secrecy surrounding tender processes, etc.

I'm not an FG user; all my VTT time is on Roll20, but your posts appear to simply be bashing FG and all their hard work, purely on the premise that you 'think' Paizo aren't in talks with Roll20. I would suggest opening your own thread, and discussing that matter there.

Further to this, I'd be interested to know whether Owlcat are developing this as a framework. Are we going to see paid-for DLC that opens up other APs? Likely the more popular ones to begin with; RotRL, etc.

Is one of the stretch goals likely to include some kind of co-op?

Great to see you here !

And glad you guys play Pathfinder. :)
But please tell us why there will be no turn-based combat ?
When you play the Pen&Paper game you see how it works and it is only the natural decision to use it instead of real-time with pause.

I don't know if you've gotten an answer yet, but I knew this would crop up.

Back in the annals of time, the OGC was created - ostensibly to make open-ended third party editions to D&D 3.5 easier and standardised across the board, etc etc.

Wizards, as part of the OGC, basically held all rights for computer games released using rules under the OGC. Pathfinder is, unfortunately, based on the OGC rules. Ergo, as with Pathfinder Online, all video game adaptations must use a system that simulates the rules without using them.

I am in the unfortunate position that I have to sell my Deluxe Collector's Edition. Although it was bought with the best of intentions, sadly circumstances have meant it has lain unopened beyond the first opening and I need extra cash.

I could sell it on eBay but I would rather that it go to a loving home where I know that it will be well looked after.

However, I'm not willing to part with it for a song; I would need serious offers and consideration for shipping (I'm in the UK, and it's a heavy beast!)

I will, of course, provide pictures to attest to the condition of the volume. All of the prints are with the volume, and have only been out of the protective envelope once, this evening, in order to get photographs.

PM me if interested.

Yes, the damage is totaled before apply damage reduction, but the issue here would be whether Pummelling Style can be used to circumvent hardness instead of damage reduction.

When this is a legitimate tactic permitted by the rules, why would anyone feel it was an exploit or cheating?

Thanks Jesse,

I can appreciate the concern, but rest assured we are both very active and love our RP! We'll be making some posts for games in the next couple of days!

Kind regards,

Hi Jesse,

I will speak to our webmaster. However, the unit structure is listed here:

http://taw.net/unit/4620/roster.aspx

TAW have a specific way of creating Divisions to ensure they have longevity before we add them as a permanent Division in one of our Corps and we've only just reached that milestone ourselves (the Sunday that just passed actually).

I hope that answers your questions for the moment. As for advertising actual games, we'll be doing that both here and on our own forums.

If you have any questions, I can be reached through nostrus@taw.net, or of course through private message here!

Yes, as it happens I was thinking that disarm/trip is likely to provide greater action economy as I can swap them out in the Flurry. Good thing I can rebuild before level 2!

Ah Divvox2, you are the person I need to speak to then!

I'm really thinking of trying to exploit the synergies between Brawler and grapple; I'm correct in thinking that we can't maintain a grapple and Flurry of Blows until we have Rapid Grappler, correct?

Hello everyone,

I'd like to introduce myself first and foremost; I'm Nostrus and I represent The Art of Warfare, a multi-gaming community with over 2,500 members over a number of games, including tabletop roleplaying.

We've taken the decision to include Pathfinder Society in our play schedule, which includes several Pathfinder adventure path campaigns as well as other systems too.

Although we shall be advertising independent games here on Paizo.com, I wanted to keep any TAW-related questions on one thread to minimize disruption. We currently have over 50 members across a number of timezones, predominantly North American and European.

We play our games through a combination of both Roll20 and Teamspeak 3 (for stable voice communications) and we welcome anyone who wants regular Society games online to contact us about joining up.

You can find our website at the TAW website.

If you have any questions, please feel free to post them here!

Oh, great!

I thought that you wouldn't get any bonus to CMD vs grapple when an enemy tries to escape your grapple. Since they aren't technically trying to grapple you.

You wouldn't get the bonus if they try to 'escape' as that would be Escape Artist. However, if they try to reverse the grapple, it does. Essentially this helps out where you are grappling something larger than yourself.

Fantastic, thanks guys!

Hi guys,

I'm just trying to figure something out and could use some sage advice. The Human FC bonus for Brawler (aside from the standard HP/skill bonus) is +1 CMD against two combat maneuvers. I intend to spend a lot of time grappling foes, but I was just wondering - if I choose the CMD vs grapple does that apply where an opponent attempts to reverse a grapple too?

I would suspect that it does, but as this is a Society character I want to ensure that's the case.

Thanks for your time.
