Yes, Aard that's the plan. Neva wants to know, a) to which sects could we look for allies, and b) are there any she feels are strong enough to handle such a challenge. Obviously, this is one of those situations that are difficult to adjudicate in RPGs. A month ago in the game world, our characters were 1st-lvl losers and had neither allies nor a claim to fame and there were many people better fit to meet the challenges we were trying to overcome. But now, we have allies and a claim to fame so we should be able to ask powerful people for favors. But it's a role-playing game and we're supposed to be the heroes who solve these problems! If we wanted NPCs to solve all the problems would could wrap this Path up in an afternoon of expository prose. This is a difficult encounter. We're weak, he's strong, but the heroic thing is to thwart or destroy the bad guy. Is there a way to do that with allies/personages in Korvosa (that we know of)?

Gasping at the news, Neva quickly removed a scroll from her pouch, read the inscription and placed a ward on Rutter. draw scroll and cast Protection from Evil on Rutter. Moving if I need to touch. Rutter, that's a +2 deflection to AC, and a +2 resistance to saves, if you don't already have those. But mainly it provides another save vs. mental control with a +2 morale bonus.

As the others sorted through the room, Neva tended to their many wounds. At one point, she gathered everyone together for some prayers and blessings. EDIT: Channel Positive Energy, twice, leaving me with With everyone mostly healed by Pharasma's grace, Neva gave one last ministration from a wand to Vyshael.

That 120' fall was freaking hysterical. I laughed so hard, but I remember the player not being too pleased. Then another PC jumped out to "save" him. My cleric Tanjvats had the ring of feather falling, jumped after both of them, with the first PC dead in the water and the second one in deep negatives. I saved him, I think.

Neva eyes flitted between Rutter, Vyshael, Raliscar and the undead monstrosity, trying to decide where to apply some positive energy. Doubt and fear clouded her mind. Every second seemed to last a day.

Vyshael's massive bulk made the wounds on his body that much more alarming. The sight of them took Neva's thoughts off the monster and her crossbow. She took a few quick strides towards Vyshael, pulling a slender wand from her belt and did her best to apply healing in the midst of battle. Wand of CMW: 2d8 + 3 ⇒ (4, 1) + 3 = 8

I have wands to heal Vysh. I can probably take an AoO and survive. Especially if we can keep that scythe out of her hands. Maybe Rutter could do that? I think the eversmoking bottle would hurt Raliscar more than her. Thunderstone sounds good. I have a scroll of Hide from Undead, but it's a touch spell, she'd get a Will saving throw, and we'd lose the invisibility if even one of us attacked. Doesn't seem worth the action. So, I'll focus on keeping everyone healed, Rutter takes her weapon, and we'll ablate her HP as best we can?

I forgot, but when you reroll your Knowledge checks, you get to add my WIS bonus (+3) to your roll. Recall (Su): With a touch, you can cause a creature to recall some bit of forgotten lore or information. The creature can retry any Knowledge skill check it has made within the past minute, gaining a insight bonus on the check equal to your Wisdom modifier. You can use this ability a number times per day equal to 3 + your Wisdom modifier.
