Ah, the memories... Berbalangs astral-travelling to ambush my PC in the night in thier first appearance (?) in the classic White Dwarf scenario "The Halls of Tyzune Thaine" way back in the mid 1980s... This mini subconsiously reflects the old days, when monsters were sinister and to be feared, not just a list of abilties to be defeated with a yawn... Great pose, with lots of potential uses. What else could you want? [Gains a point for nostalgia... probably a 3 for everyone who's reading this and has no idea what I'm on about...]

And LO, it came to pass that the proclaimation went out across the land... "Every Mini set must have a rubbish figure that no-one wants. It must be poorly scupted and badly painted, for, like non-speaking extras in the background of a TV soap opera, its sole role in life is to make up the numbers... and dream of better days...". No wonder he's (it?) is bashing himself on the head with his impractical weapon...

An excellent mini, with crisp detail nicely based on the classic Beholder look rather than the "Red Eye" re-imaginging of last year. Plus, its scupted at a decent physical size to scare the bejeepers out of Players. Definately one of the stand-outs of this set. My only criticism is that the base on my example is a bit "floppy" due to the "new" plastic mix that the manufacturers are now using. Loses a point due to the latter.
