A History of Bloodshed:
Do you remember the years past, Grigore? Imagine, if you will, a happy family of five; The father and mother, two daughters and a son. Now give them wealth, a position of power, and security for their family's future. Now seduce the son. Take his soul. Give him fangs, a thirst, an unquenchable desire to destroy the things closest to him. Imagine the grief, the pain, the hatred for himself that the boy felt. You are the last of your family, Grigore. Remember who made you what you are. Remember the gift that I gave you.
Grigore did not sleep dreamless through the daylight like the others of his kind. No, the nightmares came every time he closed his eyes. Nightmares of a snakes eyes and smiling ruby lips forcing horrid memories into his mind.
It has been 700 years since he was brought into unlife. 300 years of depression, regretting his crime and punishment. 200 years of acceptance, trying to forge a new life for himself. 200 years of insanity, and realization that everything is futile;It took centuries for Grigore to finally realize the monster he had become, and he descended quickly into madness. Acquaintances became puppets, and allies became expendable. His cruel, sadistic demeanor in the field drove many away, but drew Grigore further into the claws of the Blood Lords. His insatiable thirst for the sick torture of the living was welcomed by them, and he was given plenty of opportunity to hone his skills with the arcane and a blade. Grigore has spent his unlife in the service of the various Blood Lords of Geb, working as a warrior on the battlefield, and a valuable asset in spell study and research. He finds himself now in the servitude of the Shadow Claw, for some dark deed that he has yet to be enlightened to.
Why the Blood Boils:
Grigore has a nearly ceaseless lust for the destruction of life. His hideous laughter rings loudly as he bleeds his foes dry, save for the rare moment where a silent suckle of the neck is more appropriate. While he seemingly exists solely to bleed others, his blade is sheathed at times. It's during these times that the days of his aristocratic human self peek through his tainted soul, and he proves to be quite intelligent and sociable. Any who have met him know that it doesn't take much at all to draw that blade out once more.
Notes:
Grigore's familiar is a Raktavarna named Sange that takes the shape of a silver bracelet with a single rose decoration. He is never seen without this bracelet, though Grigore takes it off to allow his familiar some freedom in his private chambers.
Grigore's rapier, Sete, has a rose pommel, with thorned vines entwined around the handle that dig into the wielder's skin as he swings (Vicious)
