To Serve The Living Through Death As We Are Unable To In Life.
Elandor only partially understands people’s aversion to the undead. He truly believes than one can elect to serve the living beyond death. For example a poor farmer who has left little to his children could devote himself to serve as an undead for ten years following his death to assist his family. Some criminals may need to repay their debts to society, even after they have been executed, etc…
Elandor is a bright young idealist, who spends long hours sketching in his note pads. He has formal training, but hasn’t been out much. From comfortable origins he enjoys the finer things in life, but he is also passionate about his faith and wants to prove himself.
Despite the late night, Elandor’s internal rooster has him awake before the crack of dawn. Elandor washes his face in the washbasin provided and puts on his finest cloths, leaving the cursed chainmail on the chair. Facing the window, he automatically recalls a verse of the Manual of City Building and then sits in silence pondering his faith. He truly believes in the tenants of Abadar, just that… just that… so much potential. Aktun could be real one day. As he focuses on images of Aktun he feels his heart and mind revitalize…
