Aen fires off some shots, only one of which misses but in exchange two embed themselves in the woman's chest. If not for her magical enhancements she surely would be slain. She notices how useless her guards are and moves away to protect herself. She casts a spell, but you see nothing happen.

Well due to the retconning, I had to reposition them so I put your damage on one of the other two tieflings since I assumed you didn't want to deal with cover. Gorn finished that target off.

Nash used his free move to get into melee.

Darting towards the demonspawn, Na'shok roars a challenge and cleaves into the survivors.

She starts casting a spell.

Gorn-Rel will go to wall that abuts the force field. Concentrating, he begins to demolish the stone with Iron fists. Mythic Surge to ignore hardness for two rounds.

Na’shok bounds toward the unseen wall and, as he does, feels a power welling up inside himself that was new but somehow familiar. It was unlike the demonic magics he’d been gifted with or the divine power of the Wardstones - this was something primal. As he moves, his brawny form shifts and melts away until an enormous carrion bird has taken his place.

Bird-Nash takes flight, easily flapping above the wall of force, and descends with an avian cry!

Varda frowns as she realizes her inability to get to the woman. As her frustration mounts, feathers sprout from between her shoulderblades and send her soaring over the wall toward the evil woman. Uh... whoa. Iomedae? Eesh, don't look down... dwarves weren't meant to fly.

As she gets her bearings, the wings beat powerfully and fly her over the wall to alight in the far corner of the room. Wings of Heaven, 1st use today (ever). Move to AD12.

Varda also flies over the wall proving the woman's tactic completely invalidated. "I will take your strength from you, your power, orc."

I wouldn't say it was invalidated... it made me use up a whole turn just to get over there, and did the same to other people too.

Bird-Nash shakes a few charred feathers loose before assuming his normal, non-avian, form.

"That was... new."

He gestures toward Varda's feathered wings.

"And I see I'm not the only one."

Varda lands gracefully next to the others and cranes her neck to get a view of the feathery white wings as they fold up behind her. She shakes her head, a look of wonderment on her face. "Wow. That was..." Pausing, she glances over at Na'shok. "New, I guess."

After the party's patched up, Nash joins Gorn in moving on.

Swaths of pulsating red lichen illuminate this long, 30-foot-high, alcove-lined hall. The alcoves themselves display elaborate, colorful murals of demonic entities, each with inscriptions chiseled into the stone below them. At the far end of the hall stands a massive iron framework that displays a red banner. One of the alcoves is larger than the others. This one contains a small shrine devoted to Deskari, and includes a lifelike statue of the insectoid demon lord.

"Is that it? Is that the 'Sword'?" Nash asks with a gesture at the banner with Soulshear.

Perceptive folks should look for traps.
